Next, the sitting room. Which was also surprisingly clean. She thought perhaps that no one had used these rooms in a very long time. Then, she walked to the guest room, opened the door, and immediately closed it again. It was in fact a disaster. Such a disaster, she could not bear to look at it. It was covered in clutter, books, and unused furniture. She wondered if in fact, her husband was a hoarder.
She opened the next room, it was the library. She should not enter such a room. She ultimately decided to ignore the three around where Aiko was currently, thinking if she should touch them in the first place. She didn’t dare open his two storage rooms, somehow knowing that it would be filled to the brim with stuff.
She continued her ‘poor way’ of cleaning, yet, the home looked so much nicer by the time she was done. She would need proper tools, then again, the home was so disgusting, that now it looked as though it was a castle.
An hour had passed before the study room door had opened and Aiko had exited, looking as though he took a long nap, as Momo was making her way to the last room of the house, the bedroom.
He glanced at her, seeming almost surprised. She looked back for a moment, before staring at the wooden floor, until he cleared his throat. He pulled out a few bank notes from his pockets.
“Here, for food. I’ll be leaving in a bit, I’ll be back later,” he stated, holding out the money waiting for her to take.
Momo reluctantly took it. “Thank you,”she said, quietly.
“While I’m not happy to be married to you, we can’t divorce for a full two years. But perhaps if we stay out of each other’s ways, we can at least be somewhat content with our lives?” He looked at Momo as she nodded.
“Yes,” she answered, almost silently, seeming frightened.
Aiko cleared his throat once again, and gave a small frown. It was then he decided it would be best for both of them, to pretend like the other didn’t exist. He didn’t usually stay home often, it wouldn’t be that difficult.
He walked past her into his room, recalling that he would have to share it with her now, unless while he was out, he bought another bed and moved it in the sitting room for himself. However, he wasn’t about to give up his private space.
