He entered his room, and removed his wedding clothing. He looked at himself in the mirror as he put on bright purple robes decorated with pink and red flowers, admiring his own beauty. He brushed his soft hair, braiding the fronts to meet the middle of the back of his hair.
He took an umbrella from his wardrobe and a fan. He opened his door elegantly to see Momo nowhere in sight. He walked down to the entrance, noting how clean everything was.
He shook his head seeing her standing in the dining hall. He opened the door to the hot heat, and quickly closed it behind himself, ignoring her.
It wasn’t long after when he arrived at another home, this one much smaller than his own.
“Kalani, how are you fairing in this dreadful heat?” Aiko asked, sitting across from his friend in the small living space of his raven-haired assistant’s home.
Kalani took a sip of his water glass, “Horribly, I trust yours is far worse though, being married now.”
Aiko pouted, then sighed, recalling the day’s events. “Father said that he doesn’t really care what I do, but I must stay married in hopes to rebuild our families name. He is too obsessed with our reputation… He makes me suffer, all so he can take a hold of the Mali factories.”
Aiko rubbed his face nervously.
Kalani frowned. “You weren’t thinking that when he forced you to become manager of Yuloka,” he pointed out.
