Jin Ah tensed, her instincts on high alert. "I do. It's unsettling. Brace yourself."

As if summoned by her words, a massive viper, its scales shimmering like dark metal, lunged from the underbrush. The creature's hiss was a low, menacing growl, and its eyes glowed with a predatory hunger. It slithered with frightening speed, aiming directly for them.

Jack's reflexes were sharp. He whipped out his twin swords, the blades catching the faint light filtering through the trees. With a deft swing, he unleashed a powerful wave of earth magic, creating a barrier to intercept the viper's attack. "Get ready, Jin Ah!"

Jin Ah focused her energy, conjuring a thick wall of ice to further fortify their defenses. The viper crashed into the icy barrier, its scales scraping against the frozen surface. She quickly followed up with a barrage of water and ice spells, hoping to slow the creature down.

Despite their combined efforts, the viper was relentless. Its enormous body coiled and writhed, breaking through parts of the ice shield and drawing dangerously close to them. Jin Ah's heart pounded as the beast's fangs neared her side.

Jack moved with precise determination, his swords slicing through the viper's scales and creating deep gashes. He worked in tandem with Jin Ah's spells, pushing the viper back but not without cost. The viper struck out, its fangs grazing Jin Ah's side and causing her to wince in pain.

"Jin Ah!" Jack shouted, his voice strained with worry. He redoubled his efforts, channeling more earth magic to stabilize their defenses.

Jin Ah gritted her teeth and focused, her magic intensifying as she cast a powerful ice spear towards the viper's head. The spell struck true, and with a deafening hiss, the beast fell to the ground, defeated.

Breathing heavily, Jin Ah and Jack took a moment to collect themselves. Jin Ah's side ached, but she pushed through the pain. "Thanks for the help, Jack," she said, her voice steady despite the lingering tremor in her tone.

"No problem," Jack replied, his gaze lingering on her with a mix of concern and curiosity. "I didn't expect the viper to be so fierce. Are you alright?"

Jin Ah nodded, though she was clearly in pain. "I'll manage. We need to keep moving."

They continued through the forest, their senses alert for any further dangers. The oppressive feeling of being watched remained, casting a shadow over their exploration.

As they navigated the dense foliage, they stumbled upon another clearing. In the center stood an ancient monolith, its surface etched with mysterious runes. The air around the monolith felt charged, and the sensation of being observed grew more intense.

Jack's expression turned serious as he approached the monolith. "I need to tell you something. I was sent here by an observer to find a 'high human.' I think... I think the observer meant you."

Jin Ah's eyes widened in surprise. "Me? What does that mean?"

Before Jack could respond, a figure emerged from the shadows. The woman, with an otherworldly presence, introduced herself as Gaia, the primordial goddess of Earth. Her form shimmered with an ethereal glow, but she made it clear that this was only a hologram she had left behind for Jin Ah.

Gaia began her tale, recounting the story of her children, the six titans, and concluding with her youngest, Cronos. "According to the regular universe, Cronos had six children. Yet, somehow, you exist as his seventh child—a being who should not exist but does. Your soul is uniquely intertwined with that of a frost goddess."

Jin Ah's confusion deepened. "But I have human parents. I'm human."

Gaia's eyes softened with pity. "Your appearance and traits reveal otherwise. You were likely adopted or placed with that family by someone—perhaps an observer."

Jin Ah struggled to process the revelation, her emotions swirling. "What does this mean for me?"

Gaia's expression turned serious. "I know our time is short, but you will see me again, my grandchild..."

Before Jin Ah could respond, a blinding pain shot through her head. She collapsed to the ground, clutching her temples as her vision blurred and darkened. The last thing she saw was Jack rushing toward her, his mouth moving urgently, but no sound reached her ears. The world turned to black.
