Hair Tie - Short Story

Chapter 6

Chapter 6

Jul 28, 2024

I woke up to the smell of bacon, eggs, and pancakes. I looked up at the ceiling smiling to myself about the incident that occurred last night. Which then at that moment reminded me I wasn’t at home.

I quickly sat up looking around realizing my clothes on the floor. No we couldn’t have. I jumped out of bed taking off the oversized t-shirt on me and grabbing my clothes putting them on.

Running downstairs I dashed to the front door about to open it when I heard Levi call my name.

“Yesss?” I shyly walked into the kitchen. It was a funny sight to see someone as cold as him cooking. Shimmering under the morning light but my mind kept going to last night did w-

“Sit.” He turned to the table, setting down a plate full of food just waiting for me to devour it. I quickly sat down picking up my fork and knife and digging right in.

I felt an intense stare at me so I looked up to see Levi and his cold icy eyes staring back at me. “What?” I said my mouth was full of food. He just laughed at me shaking his head.

“I have a question about last night. *Cough* Did we you know??” He gave me a bewildered look before he started coughing on the water he was drinking.

“Oh no. I just changed you into something more comfortable.” He said quickly getting up and putting our dishes in the sink. “Come on, I'll drive us to school.”

I stood up and walked to the car.

“Where’s your parents? I didn’t see them this morning.”

“They go to work early. “ He kept his eyes on the road. I stared at them for a while wondering what such beautiful eyes could hold.

We arrived at school. Students staring. It wasn’t because we were Edward and Bella, the awkward duo. It was about his sister. When thinking about it I found myself in a selfish spot. She went missing and I kissed her brother and don’t think about her till now.

We got out of the car and all of a sudden people just started surrounding us. Asking Levi questions about his sister if he was ok. One girl even touched him on the shoulder sliding her hand down slowly inching closer to his hand but before she could get any closer she, who I believe is her boyfriend, told her to hurry up.

*Timeskip*

School was finally over with. I stepped out of my class smelling the nasty school air. I rushed outside to Levi’s car that was sitting there. I hopped in the car just sitting waiting for him to drive me home and maybe to get to know each other a little more.

I sat there a good minute before I saw Levi come out but not by himself. He was talking to the girl who had that boyfriend earlier. Maybe her boyfriend can’t give her a ride home.

“I can’t wait for tonight.” She said smiling at him while he just gave a cheeky grin.

He looked at me for a good 5 mins before turning his attention back to the girl and telling her something she looked at me and laughed. Then he walked over to me looking me dead in the eyes. He looked nervous.

“Hey, I’m sorry but I can’t take you home. I got something to do. “ He just bit his lip. “How am I supposed to get home?” I asked with a serious tone.

“Take the bus you still have time to get on.” Pointing at the school bus. Fing douchebag. He’s like every other guy.

I got out of his car slamming it shut behind me. I watched as Levi and the girl got in the car.

“FUCK YOUUUU!!” I yelled, sticking the middle finger up and rushing to the bus but it was gone. My life can’t get any worse.

*Drip*
