It’s another beautiful day in the motherland. The sky is clear and blue like the roaring of ocean waves that come crashing down. The beautiful green grass vibrant as the sun and the animals that graze the fields, like mindless sheep, is such a wonderful sight to see. Nature has been kind to my people for quite some time now, as we have not been in any battles for the past decade. It is a blessing to see such beauty for this long, without having to be around so much bloodshed. As Obaka was standing outside his hut, admiring nature, he felt a hand on his shoulder.
“You know brother, it’s moments like these that makes me think that orcs and humans can coexist with one another”.
“Don’t be so foolish Subaka, as Chief of the Orcs, I shall never let them come near us again”. I said as I turned around.
“I will never forgive them for what they did to our parents… and to our people”.
I became the village's Chief at a young age after our parents and some more of our kind were killed and enslaved by the Austrians. The rest of the Orcs that escaped from Austria, helped raise me and my brother and took care of us. I became well aware of why our land was invaded by those bastard Austrians. Our motherland is rich in resources and minerals, all in which the Austrians plan to take from us, just to expand their kingdom. They plan to use our resources for death, destruction, and power, all in which our motherland wasn’t created for. As long as I'm alive, I don’t want to ever have my people suffer through that pain again. The humans… Those damn
monsters wouldn’t give a rat’s ass about us Orcs. Now since our parents are gone, it’s up to me to lead and look after my people.
“Well time has passed brother, I’m sure there is , no- I’m for certain that change will come”. Subaka said.
I started to grin and chuckle a little.
“I’ll be looking forward to that day”.
As my brother and I were talking, I felt an awful gut feeling, as if something was about to happen.
“You know Subaka…something just doesn’t feel right”.
“I believe that it's just your nerves bothering you brother”.
“You really ought to rest and let me take care of things for a bit”. He said, trying to reassure me.
I took his advice and returned to my hut, leaving him in charge of watching over the village until I'm done resting. It's been six days since I've slept; I honestly worry too much sometimes about the village's protection and it causes me to stay up and be alert just in case we’re attacked. As Obaka was sleeping soundlessly, he started to have a nightmare, causing him to sweat.
“Can’t… move”.
As Obaka couldn’t move in his nightmarish dream, a man in armor with long-silver hair and eyes, was giving command to an army of men over five thousand. The man giving the commands, started to charge into the village along with his army.
“Is this some kind of raid… those damn humans”.
While he was confused on what the dream meant, he witnessed himself, along with the other Orcs, get captured.
“This is absurd, there’s no way I’m captured by a mere human”.
Obaka woke up with sweat rolling down his face and his heart racing.
“I won’t let any harm come to this village”. He said to himself,as he was leaving his hut and taking off to gather his troops.
