Chapter 15

With the Chamberlain leading them, they slowly make their way to the back entrance of the castle. 

While whispering, Linda asks, “How far do we have left to go?”

“We shouldn’t have too far to go, after we make a turn here.” Said the Chamberlain.

They finally reached the entrance.

Leonardo shakes the Chamberlain’s hand and says, “Thank you for helping us out of here, I’ll make sure to repay you.”

“It’s no problem at all, but once the Princess finds out you’re gone you’ll have to make a run for it.”

Linda smiled and said, “We know, but we still thank you.”

Then Leonardo gently grabbed Linda’s hand and they started running.

Once they made it halfway out of the Velcent Kingdom, they started to hear horses running in their direction. 

“She must’ve figured out we’re gone.” Linda says worryingly.

Leonardo, annoyed, says, “if only she didn’t figure it out so soon.”

Leonardo picks up Linda and starts to run even faster.

“It seems that even though I'm free from turning into a Lion… I still possess the speed of a Lion.” Leonardo thought.

After they made it out of The Velcent Kingdom. Linda pointed the way to the Griffin, while they were still being chased by Velcent soldiers.

“Up there, there’s the Griffin!” Linda shouted.

Leonardo, then makes a big leap up the cliff. And puts Linda on the Griffin then hopped on himself.

Linda gave the other half of the fruit to the Griffin, “Here you go.”

After consuming the fruit, the Griffin took flight and blew the Velcont soldiers away.

Relieved, Leonardo and Linda hug each other.

“Finally, we’re free and together.” Says Leonardo. 

Tearfully, Linda says, “Yes, we finally are.”

Coming to the middle point of the sea Linda dropped the Seed and a giant sequoia tree grew. There was a platform at the top, where they and the griffin would rest for the rest of the night.

Leonardo carried Linda off the Griffin.

“Now that the curse is broken, I’ll finally be able to stand in the sunlight with you.” Leonardo said while smiling.

Linda hugged Leonardo while he’s carrying her and said,

“I’m glad, we can go everywhere… Well after we handle our royal responsibilities…”

“Yea, and not only that. We need to handle the trouble Princess Robyn caused.” Leonardo says while annoyed.

Linda sighed and said, “We’re gonna have so much work to do once we’re back.” 

Leonardo puts Linda down, and puts his hands on her shoulder gently.

“But, for now we can relax knowing that we’re finally together.”

With the sun rising in the background he gets down on one knee, and gently takes her hand.

“Linda Salto, will you do me the honors of marrying me and becoming the Queen of “The Forest of Capet”.”

Linda smiled tearfully and said, “Yes.”

Then they hugged and kissed.

After the Griffin fully rested, they made their way to “The Forest of Capet”.

Once they arrived, everyone was surprised and happy to see them.

Burnard, who was in town, saw them land and rushed over to them.

“I-I can’t believe, you guys are alive after all.” He said tearfully.

Leonardo jumped down with Linda and walked up to Burnard.

He smiled and said, “It’s nice to see you again after all this time, Burnard.” 

Leonardo puts Linda down and puts his hand on Burnard's shoulder.

“We have a lot of work to get to, so let's save the water works for a later time.”

Burnard wiped his tears away and said, “Understood.”

They then headed to the palace.

Lilli, Liese, and Algar all ran to the palace courtyard to see Linda after hearing word of their return.  Then they all hugged Linda as soon as they saw her.

“My beautiful daughter, I thought you were lost to us.” Algar said tearfully.

Liese crying aloud says, “I can’t believe it’s you! I thought you were dead! Don’t ever leave like that for that long again!”

And Lilli was crying so hard that she didn’t have anything to say.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry… I won’t ever do something like this again… I promise…”

Linda then started to cry tears of joy from being reunited with her family.

“Linda, why don’t you spend some time with your family. Me and Burnard will start on the problem with Princess Robyn in the meantime.” Said Leonardo.

“Thank you, I’ll join in after this.”

“Take your time, you haven’t seen them in 7 years.”

“Then… Tomorrow.” 

Leonardo nods his head and starts to make his way to the office with Burnard.

After spending the day with her family. Linda spent the next couple of weeks with Leonardo and Burnard to gather evidence and organize reports against Princess Robyn to present them to her father, The King of Velcent.

Leonardo with Burnard went to the Kingdom of Velcent to present everything to the King. With undeniable evidence, the King of Belcent couldn’t defend his daughter's actions and punished her to be stripped of her magic and locked in her room for a couple of months.

With Princess Robyn no longer a threat, Leonardo and Linda prepared for their wedding day. 

“I’m so nervous… I can’t believe that I’m getting married!” Said Linda.”

“Of course you are, it’s natural to be nervous.” Said Carla.

Both Carla and Felda are helping Linda get ready for her Wedding. Linda is wearing a long iridescent white draped gown adorned with pearls and gold accessories.

In the next room, Burnard and Garson are helping Leonardo get ready for the Wedding as well. He is wearing a closed long sleeve top, underneath iridescent white drapes adorned with gold lining and accessories. 

“I can’t wait to see Linda… She must look even more beautiful.”

“Young Majesty, please don’t be in a rush, you’ll see her soon.” Said Burnard smugly. 

Leonardo then laughed.

At the wedding, Leonardo and Linda are finally hand in hand. 

Leonardo smiled and said, “You’re even more radiant than before, even more so than the moon itself.”

“And you are more handsome, you’re shining brighter than the sun.”

Their vowels were read. And they both said, 

“I do.”

After their Wedding they lived happily ruling the Kingdom and traveling to Linda’s hometown and the world in sunlight.
