The Food Giver stood bravely before the enemy, sword out and ready to strike the monstrous beast that stood between them and the end. The jewels glowed and the gold shimmered on the quivering sword. Taking a breath in, the enchanted sword stilled as the beast slept in the gathered gold. Each breath was of sulfur and the warmth of the sun. Just one wrong step woke the beast and it growled as fire spewed from their mouth. Standing up now it’s black scales shimmered and the thin wings spread.Eyes widening at the large creature, this was stronger than anything they both had faced together. They had their doubts for most of those fights but each time the Food Giver prevailed at the last second. When they were battered and on their last hit point, Food Giver always came through saving them.Maybe the same will happen again and they can have a large feast after this?But first, the giant Lizard with wings had to go down. S Hope will have their home back from this giant creature and they will be victors!They can hardly wait for the feast after, their stomach rumbled.“Let’s finish this quickly, Food Giver,” said man turned to look at them and smiled and faced the creature with a raised sword as the Dragon roared and took flight.Food Giver ran forward to hit the monster before it got too far away and the Dragon returned the hit with it’s own. Knocking the man down in front of the green blob with eyes who just looked at them not amused.“It didn’t hit you that bad, you can take 2 more like that! Get back in there and fight!” the green blob moved as if it was talking.“You could help you know!” the green blob looked shocked but then closed it’s eyes. “Real helpful.”“Just hurry up and beat it so we can eat. I haven’t had a bite since this morning and we’ve been walking non-stop,” the blob wiggled and stretched as if yawning and settled again.The man got hit again but with the Dragon’s tail and the Food Giver in Shining Armor stayed down a little too long.“You got Stunned?” looking at the Dragon it raised it’s claws and slashed at their Food Giver. Looking at the Health of the man it seemed they were stunned and now bleeding. “It has a Bleeding Effect too?”“It has a Bleeding Effect! Ahh!” Food Giver moved just in time to avoid the claws again, the Dragon roared and this time it did something to it’s speed. “The Level difference is insane! If I get hit again and the Bleeding Effect happens I’ll be logged out for a few days at least!”“Does that mean no food? I’m starving! Don’t make me eat your Armor again! I will!” The threat went unheard as the man charged the Dragon again and this time the claws were faster than the Food Giver could run.But the Dragon wasn’t fast enough for the green Slime that was just on the sidelines watching their Food Giver get hit multiple times. Flickering forward to take the hit for the Food Giver despite the 100 HP the little Slime had.The thought of Despawning never crossed their mind, not realizing that this could actually be the end of the faithful Slime that’s been with the man since the start of their journey.The hit connected and a blinding flash of light-In the black and breathless world.
There was no sound, no feeling, just absolute stillness.It was peaceful, floating, no thoughts, no worries.Just Peace and Lightness.Until it was interrupted by a blop.This caused the entity to open their eyes and see a Green Screen with the words: [Hello, Welcome to MiDNIGHT WORLD.][Would you like to nAME your CHARACTER?]
Only seeing the words Name and Character they didn’t bother to read it completely.

That was it? Don’t they get a name?The world filled in with trees and greenery, sounds starting to rush in like waves from the ocean crashing in and pulling out. The momentary silence before the sound level stilled and the music from the birds were calming.The gentle wind blowing through the crisp green leaves of the trees, the blades of grass... squishing sounds?Seeing the world around them felt big and endless in it’s majestic form in their spot beside a large tree with squishy moss growing on it.‘Ah, that’s where the squishing sound is coming from,’ the different transparent colored orbs were hopping about happily in place.It was next to peaceful but they wondered if the darkness would come back. They would like for it to come back, this place was bright and way to cheerful for their liking.

Staring at the Green Screen like it was suppose to add more words to it. They wondered if this part of the Tutorial was broken, unless it was one of those stupid thought command ones. Shaking their head knowing that was impossible and stupid, but out of curiosity they decided to try it. ‘Menu?’

This is probably going to get old fast.’Looking up above the fancy Green Screen, the trees covered the giant blue sky. Off to the side the Squishing sounds were still heard. Glancing over one of them closed their eyes in a smile, it was almost cute. ‘Gross. Slime’s being friendly must be an important trait for them. Us? I am one if I remember correctly.’Back to the Green Screen they are now meet with a box of two rows and four columns.

The tree was large with four main Classes, Warrior, Rouge, Mage and Archer. Looking at the individual branches there was two options after it and again with the next two options that were locked.Dead Walker.Apocalyptist.Reviver.Bartender.Those were just some of the options on a few that they glanced at, they noticed that none of them connected to the other base Class. ‘It would take so long to look at it, is there some sort of cheat sheet? Does it end?’Taking a look at the base Class they started to actually weigh their options.‘Warriors are Physical attackers, that will take a lot of energy to even move. So nope. Mage are Intellectual beings that use too much of their brains, nuh-uh. Archer requires strength to even wield a bow, ugh. Rouge requires agility. Each one needs me to move! Which one has the least amount of movement? Mage, Archer and Rouge. Mage and Archer. Archer. That one still needs strength. Rouge doesn’t need much other than speed and I have the most of that. In the end I’m still a Slime.’

They relaxed and started to think of what was going on, ‘Very strange that the system was broken. Don’t these things run smoothly? Or was this a beta thing? Well, it’s more strange that knowing these words in this world... actually knowing the out of pla- actually never mind... I’m getting tired and this Old Slime won’t leave.’

Finally, that was annoying. It doesn’t seem like anything else wants attention, just a quiet place in the forest with Slimes everywhere. Blue, Red, Orange, Pink, Purple, Yellow... no Green Slimes, odd. Well, doesn’t really matter what colors are out there, just knowing that they won’t be bothered any time soon was enough. Its time for a nap as well, the Tutorial was exhausting.‘I’m a Level 1 Tamable Rouge Slime with no weapons to speak of and only two useless skills. Speak and Merge. Also useless collars and coins. Best to rest, rest...’Closing their eyes finally, the world was once again shrouded in darkness. The ever sweet darkness, the noise fading away in gentle cotton. It was so peaceful, so relaxing, a nice long rest was in order.
