Mysterious journey

Perception

Perception

Aug 03, 2024

Yug enters the school and moves toward the principal's office. After some time, he leaves the principal's office.

Vijay enters his class and goes to his seat. He stands up and says, "Good morning, ma'am," then opens his history book. A paper ball from the back falls on the ground. Vijay stands up and says, "Ma'am, someone is throwing a paper ball at me from the back." The teacher asks, "Who is throwing it?" Vijay says, "Ma'am, I think you should check the CCTV camera, and you will know who threw the paper at me and who threw the paper ball at you yesterday." The teacher replies, "Wait, I will check it out. Return to your seat."

The teacher leaves. One boy tells another that Vijay is acting very smart today, and they should teach him a lesson he will never forget. A boy pushes Vijay down, others kick him in the back, and one boy closes the door of the class. Vijay says, "Don't hit me," and tries to stand, but another kick to his back makes him fall. The whole class moves to one side as the group of boys punches and kicks Vijay. One boy tells the others to stand him up and kicks him in the face. Another boy tells them to stop and moves toward the door. Vijay pushes others aside, moves to that boy, kicks him, and says, "I am the main lead here; I will finish them all."

Students greet, "Good morning, ma'am," and the teacher sees Vijay sleeping. She comes towards Vijay and says, "Vijay... Vijay." He wakes up, and the whole class is laughing. The teacher says, "Report to the principal's office." Vijay says, "Ma'am, sorry, I was tired, so I fell asleep." The teacher replies, "The principal told me to tell you to report to his office." Vijay says, "Okay, ma'am," and leaves the class.

"May I come in, sir?" Vijay asks, and the principal says, "You may come in."

Principal: "I was checking the CCTV footage and I see that your classmates blamed you in the wrong situation."

Vijay (in a lower voice): "Yes, sir."

Principal: "Why does the whole class blame you?"

Vijay: "I don't know, sir..." (in a lower voice)

Principal: "Okay, let me ask them."

That boy enters the room and stands beside Vijay, whose leg is shaking.

Principal: "You boys stand there, and Vijay, you come here."

Principal: "Why did you guys blame him yesterday?"

One boy: "Sir, we didn't do anything."

Principal: "Okay, let me send this footage to all of your parents if you guys are not guilty."

Boy: "No, sir, please don't send it to our homes. We will tell you everything."

Principal: "First of all, tell me everyone's names."

First boy: "Jayant."

Second boy: "Jay."

Third boy: "Veer."

Principal: "Jayant, tell me the reason why you did this."

Jayant: "Sir, because we hate him."

Principal: "Why do you hate him? Tell me, Jay."

Jay: "Sir, we wanted to be his friend and tried to talk to him many times, but each time he never showed interest in talking to us. We all think he is very arrogant and we should teach him a lesson as we feel disrespected when he shows no interest in us."

Principal: "Why did you do this, Vijay?"

Vijay (in a normal voice): "Sir, because I thought they were not interested in talking to me and they would never accept me as a friend."

Principal: "This is the problem with all of us. We form perceptions about someone based on several factors, and we never try to know them personally. We judge that person based on our perception. I have made the same mistakes in my life, but I don't want you all to repeat them. Now, you all leave."

They all leave, and Vijay tells everyone that they should thank the principal. Jayant says, "Yes, we should." They all enter the room again, and the principal says in a louder voice, "Why are you all here, and how did you enter without permission? Go to your classes." They all leave, and Vijay says, "What happened to sir? A moment before he was different, and now he is acting differently."

Jayant says, "It seems like he was under someone's control a moment ago." Veer says, "Yes, but because of him, we are good friends now, aren't we?" They all reply, "Of course."
