After the discussion we had with Telluric about training me it was time to eat.

We mostly ate in silence, Lillian was telling Telluric a few stories and he was telling her some stories in return, although he did add a dramatic flair which made her laugh.

After we finished eating usually we went straight to bed but today i was told to follow Bellion and Telluric, Lindon and Lillian were both a bit upset that they couldn’t come but their mother comforted them and guided them to bed.

We reached a back door that i had never been told about, Bellion opened the door and it led out into a woodland and after Bellion closed the door it disappeared.

Bellion must’ve noticed my curiosity as he entered a long winded explanation.

“A very useful earth nightmare user did it for us decades ago, the door is hidden by stone identical to the manor when it is closed. Keeps intruders out”

“Into the woods, there’s a clearing about 3 miles in.”

Telluric summoned a weapon shaped like a thunderbolt, clapped 9 times and then the weapon disappeared.

“I will be going ahead, get there fast”

And then he was gone.

I turned to Bellion

“What was the clapping for?”

“I’m sure you will find out soon but now isn’t the time, we should get moving”

Bellion grabbed me and started flying, we definitely weren’t moving as fast as Telluric’s lightning bolt but we also weren’t moving slow either. We made it to the clearing after a minute or two.

Telluric was warming up in the middle of the clearing

“That was faster than expected”

He stopped speaking to do a stretch that made his inhuman height even more obvious.

“Rebel you need to stretch and warm up too”

“Yes Sir”

After telling me to stretch he came over and knocked me on the head.

Telluric looked at Bellion with a fierce glare and then stood over me

“If thats how you stretch then i’m surprised that you haven’t torn all of your muscles apart every time that you tenverse”

Another 15 minutes passed with Telluric berating Bellion for not teaching me properly and hitting me every time that i did an improper stretch it was finally time to spar.

"We should shake hands before we start"

Telluric was holding out his hand and I began walking towards the man when a bolt of lightning suddenly shot out of his fingertips, striking the ground in front of me.

I jumped back, startled.

He shot me a cheeky grin

“Lets see that poison then, Rebel”

I didn’t really want to use my poison but I had the feeling he would be fine at my current level,

I focused all my energy on maintaining a thin veil of poison around my body it took a lot of effort to try keeping the form close to my body.

Telluric looked at Bellion

“Now lets truly begin, Bellion can you announce the start of the spar”

Bellion nodded

Telluric and I both took a few steps back

“Begin!”

With a flick of his wrist, Telluric conjured a bolt of lightning and sent it hurtling towards Me. I instinctively raised my arms, expecting to be struck. But as the lightning was about to hit me it morphed into the shape of a man and suddenly instead of being hit by lightning I was struck in the face by Telluric’s fist.

Although the punch hurt me i knew that Telluric would be feeling just as much pain, and his senses would be slowing down too.

Either he forgot about my poison or he underestimated it, and me.

He stood smiling at me

“My hand is going numb, smart move using your poison not only for offence, but also defence”

The lightning bolt shaped weapon from earlier appeared in the air in front of Telluric

“Its a bad matchup for you though, since I have this”

It came flying at me with incredible speed but I dodged around it, but then Telluric clapped two times and the weapon flew back to him even faster than it had charged towards me.

Telluric clapped a few more times, the total claps was now 5 and the weapon was growing in size subtly, but the worst part was the increased speed. It went from insanely fast to ludicrously fast.

There was no time for me to react before it hit me, and then whilst I was still staggering from the blow it came back and hit me again.

My vision began to go blurry and just before I passed out i noticed something, he hit me with the blunt side of the bolt. I would be dead if this was a real fight.

But then again, can i really die?

It’s something i’ve been wondering since i woke up in Sheol, how did i survive being stabbed trough by a spear?

Maybe i didn’t, maybe i did die and thats what caused me to become an uncontrollable gas for 8 years.

It’s not something that i’m going to test willingly, so i guess we’ll find out if I ever die.
