Melissa was overjoyed that Jon had become responsive, but that was mixed with a bit of confusion about the words he spoke. Even more so, she was startled when Jon started taking slow, deep breaths to his stomach from his nose and exhales as well. Her thoughts about him breathing slowly lead her to the conclusion that he is still in critical condition.

( I felt some sort of warmth started spreading throughout my body.) 

(I dont know whats going on at all, but somehow it feels familiar…)

( it's some what familiar...some how...) Jon's thoughts kept running amok. 

Jon doesn't know if this is just his body healing or something unknown happening to him. The warmth spreads from his head straight to his toe; the warmth sensation kept growing the longer his slow breathing continued. The warmth increased his body's temperature, prompting Jon to exude intense heat. 

Melissa, who was near, started sweating bullets and wondering where that heat was coming from. She realised that it was her wounded patient's body temperature; it was so high. She thought he had a fever due to not fully recovering from his injuries. Jon's face and body seem rather cold, with no sweat in sight and no discomfort; he just slowly breath

"Jon, please don't die; please, we need your help. " She plead with a half conscious Jonathan with face that is close to whimpering with tears.

Kevin and Steve still continue, even though their fang spears are ineffective. Most of the combat was just blocking and defending both Melissa and Jon. Steve drops to his knees, huffing and breathing heavily, in front the beast, looking all beat up. 

Kevin started to pick up the slack and use his skills to protect Steve by fighting off two beasts as well. Though many can see they both won't last long, Jon and his whole party will bite the dust soon. Kevin was fighting well for one man against the odds, blocking blows from beast and keeping the other at bay as well.

"I don't know if I can continue fighting like this," Kevin said while breathing heavily.

The ground lizards both notice Kevin in his weak state. They both attack simultaneously; one strikes with its tail while the other uses its mouth. He blocked the lizard's bite with the fang spears held between the jaws of the creature's mouth in a vertical position.

This wasn't necessarily a bad move, but it was not a good one either, and it was the only option for survival. With a loud whack of the creature's tail hitting his right side of his body,. A blow that was so massive that it forced him to lose the grip on his spear and throw a few centimetres to the left.

( my right ribs must of been fractured; all I can feel is pain.) He thought this with in the moment of picking himself up.

His legs were wobbling and it can not straighten; he lost his weapon and conviction. But the ground lizards aren't done with him and Steve yet, his demise awaits him. Rapidly, the creature swings his claws at his weakening foe before him, and the airs makes swooshing sound as it travels towards Kevin.

" Light protection is active." Melissa shouted  with her hands in a diagonal position before the ground lizard.

[Light Protection is a skill that allows its caster to create a clear blue barrier, protecting a small number of allies. This skill requires a Large amount of concentration to keep active.]

The beast's claws made it clink as it hit Melissa's barrier, and the attack bounced back as quick as it hit. Both creatures release a fury of attacks on her barrier, adding great pressure to it.

The barrier began making cracking sounds as fissures appeared randomly in various areas. Melissa struggled to stand as the stress of blocking started to take a toll on her.

Her breathing began to become heavier and heavier as she tried to focus on keeping the barrier intact. Each crack in her face becomes tense from stress. Her companion and she felt their hope of survival fleeting as their last line of protection vanished.

Pieces of the barrier started to fall to the ground as it shattered with beasts' massive claws poking through.

"Jon, please, we need you, Please save us once!!" She started to plead out loud for Jon's help, with single tears running down her side.

Jon's eyes flicker wide open, and his pupils have a bright golden hue. His body was covered all over in a blue aura, engulfing the area with bright shine. He rose to his feet in an instant, already armed with his trusty knife in hand.

All eyes are on Jon with amazement to see this young man rise again. Jon held his knife with a backhand grip, though he seemed to be in a daze but was still fixated on fighting. He positions himself in a runner's pose and launches off with amazing speed.

His movements were perceived as a blur. Jon stood before his companion with the barrier still far apart, looking like sparkling glass. Both the beasts were stunned, seeing them appear out of thin air. Without a second thought, he pushes his blade into the monster jugular as he glows with a blue aura of unknown energy.

Picture this as epic video game moment where your hp is at lowest, tension is high and you miraculously hit the boss monster with critical damage. 

The blade slide in without effort, the once tough scale seem to be buttery with this mysterious power. The beast was still alive despite the blade being between its neck, He used his other hand to force the blade further in. Blood splits from back of the neck like a geyser, and life drains from the ground lizard as it become no more.
