Juliana is in her first year of university, studying creative arts, specializing in painting. Since the tragic loss of both her parents during her senior year of high school, she has refused to talk. Her high school best friend and now college roommate, Emily, who has been Juliana's closest companion since elementary school, has dedicated to herself to be Juliana's self-appointed protector.
On the first day of classes, Juliana and Emily meet, Joseph, an architecture student, and Michael, a mechanical engineering student. Unfortunately, misunderstandings occur almost instantly. Joseph is drawn to Juliana's mysterious silent nature, and as a moth to a flame sets out to find out what is behind her odd silence. Can he crack the code? Can he break Juliana out of her voicelessness?
