Ch-1
Violet's Sweet 16 and the Demon Within
In the end, Starlight City was captured by Rare. An entire year has passed since my parents were trapped, Miyu reflected as she reflected on her time abroad. Even though I attempted to use the labyrinth to travel back in time and alter Rare's actions, Dr. Saijo ambushed me midway through. I was sent back in time to a much younger version of my parents. Although I enjoyed my time with them, I had to go back home in the end.
Students in the stands yell out to a team of guys playing soccer, and the rest of the spectators join in the chant.
"Our superstar player June has just received the ball! He is aiming for the prize!” The coach bellowed.
As the game is about to end, June quickly kicks the ball, scoring a goal. While June's pals are having fun on the field, Miyu gets up from the podium and disappears into thought.
"Mom! Dad! Just wait and see! I'll save you all and everyone else one day!" With fierce determination, Miyu spoke, and her words carried a promise that reverberated through the atmosphere.
As Miyu is making her determined statement, Violet abruptly appears on screen and pushes her aside in a comedic manner. Miyu is taken by surprise and falls off the bleacher onto the grass in a bewildered heap.
With dramatic flair, Violet yelled, "Get out of my way!"
Violet couldn't help but call out to June in a seductive tone as she hurried forward to get closer to him, who was still unaware of her feelings.
"Hi Junee, are you ready to be amazed by the show's real star?"
Violet's flirtatious attempts went unnoticed by June, who was too busy celebrating his team's triumph at the soccer game. Violet persisted in her amusing self-promotion.
Violet flirted, adopting a pose in the hopes that he would embrace her. "Don't get too carried away with the crowd, June! The real game is right here, and I'm the MVP!" She excalimed.
As June separates from the group, one of his pals shouts out to him abruptly from a distance.
"Hey June, let's celebrate the win with some pizza at the skate park!"
June leaps, takes his skateboard, and quickly heads out with his buddies, saying, "Sounds like a plan! I'm in!"
A bunch of schoolgirls couldn't help but go after June and his companions as they rushed off. Violet's wrath flared up as she saw the girls' flustered toward June as they pursued him.
Violet lashes out, brandishing her whip, "Not on my watch! June is all mine! Misfits, get together!"
Umi and Aja dash to Violet's side and dive into the melee, following the group of females down the crowded street.
Violet laughed and said, "Umi, strum that electric guitar and let sparks fly! Create a diversion they won't forget."
When they get downtown, T.V.s from an electronics store flicker and pop, sending a shower of sparks into the air; some of the girls chasing June's group stumbled to the ground as the Misfits turn the busy street into a symphony of chaos and surprise. Umi strummed her guitar, unleashing a spark of lightning, causing some windows for some nearby businesses to crack.
Violet gestured, "Aja, follow up with a combo of your fiery magic!"
Following Violet's lead, Aja finds a muralist painstakingly working on a painting. With a playful flourish, Aja summons fire from a nearby paint can, which shoots up into the air and drenches another group of unsuspecting girls.
Violet chuckles and says, "Looks like you're getting a makeover, ladies! You should thank me for the artistic upgrade!"
June and his pals ignore the mayhem in their wake as they continue skating down the crowded boulevard. With a twist of wind magic, Violet capitalizes on the distraction by turning her whip into a flowing gym ribbon. Taking advantage of the distraction, she skillfully whips the air around herself, causing a sudden gust that trips June's pursuers and leaves them all flat in a puddle of water, leaving them to leer back at Violet as she stuck her tongue out.
"Nice one!" Umi jumped.
June and his buddies are skating down the street with great excitement when all of a sudden their teacher appears out of nowhere and raises his hand to signal for them to stop.
June questioned, "Mr. Wakari, what are you doing here?"
With a tone that changed from that of an eccentric instructor to one that was more ominous, Mr. Wakari announced, "It's time for a pop quiz! And you boys are on the hot seat."
Mr. Wakari's visage altered horrifyingly before anyone could respond. June and his companions looked at each other, bewildered by the abrupt change in events.
One of June's friends whispered, "Pop quiz? This isn't what I signed up for."
Wakari said, slapping his kendo blade at the boys, "Mr. Rare has sent me to vanquish Miyu! I'll capture you fools to draw her out. And once she is defeated, that promotion is good as mine."
The group of girls who were carrying love letters turned away in fright as they observed their teacher swinging his sword fiercely, and June and his companions immediately scattered as the demonic teacher chased after them.
"This is getting old." Kai shouted.
"Why can't Rare leave us alone? We've been getting new teachers every day since this school year started." June sighed.
June's long-haired companion Hiroshi exclaimed, "That makes him teacher number 90? Or was it 91? No wait, he could be number 106. Ow, my head hurts!"
"Does it matter?” June replied. “I've lost count, but they all seem to be following the same lesson plan—destroy Miyu and cause chaos in our lives."
Amid the frantic chase, Violet whipped the demon teacher, momentarily stopping his threatening charge at June and his companions.
With a sly smile, Violet said, "Find another class to terrorize, Teach! Go get a lesson in love somewhere else. June is taken!"
The teacher growled as he got ready to fight. "Oh, great. Another delinquent teenager with a whip. Is this a throwback to the '80s with a side of yoyo action?" He snapped.
June snatches Violet's arm as the teacher lunges in with his blade, putting himself in danger.
"Violet, I'll keep you safe!"
As soon as June took Violet in his arms, a flush spread across her cheeks, and she drew her attention away from the peril before them, entering a world of pure imagination.
Violet laughed, her eyes shining with mischievous excitement. "Oh, June! Is this the part where you sweep me off my feet and we ride into the sunset together?"
Just as June was getting ready to face whatever came his way, Miyu showed up just in time and unleashed her devastating Star Breaker attack.
Mr. Wakari cried out, "Mr. Rare, I failed you," as Miyu's Star Breaker defeated him.
“Is everyone okay?” Miyu wondered.
June grinned back, "We sure are! Thanks for the help Miyu, you're a real lifesaver."
Violet sent Miyu a jealous glance, annoyed that despite her brief distraction, Miyu had taken the spotlight away from her.
"Good luck, you two! Feel free to reach out to me at any time." Miyu said, waving good-bye and allowing Violet and June some alone time.
Violet mumbled to herself, "I could've handled it on my own. She didn't need to swoop in like that."
June turned to Violet gravely as they left the tumultuous scene and said, "Hey, Violet, about back there."
Violet crossed her arms, appearing a little defensive. "What? I could've handled that demon on my own, you know!"
"I don't want you to put yourself in danger, Violet. We've been friends since kindergarten, and I care about you. I know you're strong, but I still don't want you to get hurt."
Violet softened a little when she saw June was genuinely worried. "Well, I don't need anyone babysitting me. I can take care of myself."
June laughed, "It's not like I'm babysitting. I just want everyone to be safe, so let's stick together, okay?"
With a trace of a smile, Violet said, "Yeah, fine. Whatever, skater boy. Let's just get to wherever we're going." She looked aside.
Their moment together was cut short when June's pals Kai and Hiroshi showed up.
"Hey Violet, let's meet up at the skate park later, say around 7:00 pm? I have to take care of something real quick."
“Later, skater boy.”
Violet was left pouting to herself again, stomping the ground in irritation as she thought about how to get June's attention the next time, as June went off with his companions.
"Really, how awful is that? Is that how he just lets me go?"I was looking forward to spending more time with him," she said, crossing her arms in a somewhat pouty manner.
Violet turned around and saw the group of girls again, their clothes still splattered with paint, their hair still wet from earlier mischief; there was a hint of irritation in their eyes, and one of them stepped forward to point accusingly at Violet.
"You made us look like a bunch of fools, and our clothes are ruined. This is all your fault!" She said.
Violet couldn't contain her laughing and covered her mouth with her hand. "Well, maybe you shouldn't have been chasing after June like a bunch of love-struck puppies. It's not my fault if you can't keep up." She said.
The female students, more furious now, glared at Violet, laying the groundwork for a meaningless altercation for June's attention. One of the girls, motivated by animosity, chose to strike Violet in the area where it hurt.
Her taunt was directed at Violet, "Well, no wonder you're such a mess. Daddy issues? Oh, right, you don't even know who your daddy is!"
Another girl entered the fray, this time focusing on Violet's mother.
"And your mother? A head of police? She must be overjoyed to have a daughter who is a perpetual troublemaker and delinquent. She must be quite proud.
Violet could feel the sting of their malicious remarks, which were meant to injure. The girls continue to hurl insulting remarks at Violet while acting in unison this time.
"Fatherless freak! Fatherless freak! Fatherless freak!” They laughed cruelly in unison as they taunted each other, jeering.
Violet was quite irritated by the girls' constant taunting. She gave a firm wave of her wrist, letting go of her whip with a snapping crack that sent the females into a meaningless fight. With unwavering determination, Violet entered the altercation and tugged on one of the girl's hairs. Umi and Aja arrived on the scene and entered the fight just as things were starting to get heated.
“Violet, don't worry! We've got you covered!” Aja yelled.
"That is enough!" Raising her voice, Ran arrived at the scene accompanied by a squad of officers to disperse the altercation.
