Seems much has changed again but this time the Players are ignoring them, there’s a Sign pointing in different directions now and there’s a wall around the city with guard posts. They didn’t mind this change, as long as the Slime’s were safe now and away from these crazy people.

It certainly was growing.

It won’t be long now until this part of the forest was taken out, the mere thought of it sent shivers through them. They noticed some Player’s leaving the town and made heir way towards them, ‘Well this will be lovely.’

They showed their offerings and they refused them for adding a useless text about Taming.

At this point they wonder if they were insane or were familiar with the meaning of it.

The Player’s angry, moved along and up comes a gentle looking soul. They offered a small piece of what looks to be Chicken, they set it down and went on their way. The thought of a nice Player doing something like this without wanting anything in return was shocking, but they didn’t hate it.

It was so nice that they thought of growing teeth and having them rot from the sweet thought. It was indeed a strange encounter but since it was just left there, no harm in eating it right?

They snatched the food up quickly like it was about to escape and ate it, they almost melted into a puddle from how delicious it was. It was the happiest they had felt in such a long time, that Player was someone to remember for sure.

Once they calmed down they brought up the Menu to poke around for fun.

‘Well that’s new, time to slap it,’ they searched the Settings Option and found a slider for Music, it was turned off so they nudged it a bit. It sounded so nice, like a gentle lullaby and from the style it seems Midnight World was a Fantasy game. Well it makes sense, the place was riddled with Slime’s, Knights and Mages. If the Class and Skill Tree didn’t give it away first, ‘Thinking of, I need to look at my Skills. But first, Subtitles On and Notifications Off. Perfect!’

- AWAKENING: A Skill to Awaken the User from the Sleep Debuff. Can also Summon Inner Strength to Boost Party Members during Battles.

- SOOTH: A Healing Skill to heal 50% of the Users or Party Member’s Health [Auto Healing: On]

Archer MAX (+20 MP, +50 SPD)

- BLAST: Releases an Energy on a specific Target Area without Weapons. With a Weapon creates an Explosion on Impact. Deals 50 Damage.

- FLARE: Makes Enemies in Stealth be seen. Can also be used if the User is Lost and needs a way back to the Safe Point that was Set.

- MERGE: User can Merge with any Entity [Auto Merge: On]

- REST: A State of Rest to Recharge lost Stamina [Auto Rest: On]

- TRANSFORM: When the User is Hit by an Attack by an Enemy the User will Transform into the Enemy with the Enemies Move Set. Lasts for 5 minutes.

- SPEAK: Can Talk to other Entities [Auto Speak: On]

- HOWL: A Powerful Howl to Buff the User’s Attack and Movement Speed by 50%. Will also Buff Party Members Attack and Attack Speed by 25%.

- BARRAGE: A Multi-Hit move that gets stronger the more the Opponent is hit. First Hit Deals 15 Damage and Increases 10 Damage overtime.

- AMBUSH: A Move that Teleports the User behind the Enemy to land a 100% Attack with a Change to Attack Again after Landing the First Hit. Deals 150 Damage.

- DASH: A Move to Dodge the Enemies Attack or Get Closer to the Enemy to Attack.

- EVADE: A Move to Evade the Enemies Attack.

- SLEEP: A Rest Move to Restore Stamina, HP, MP and Recover @%*( #%#%&*%*.

- FEAST: A Skill to make even the smallest meals last longer. Can Consume anything with a chance to Gain the Items Skill.

- NURTURE: A Chance to Boost a Party Members Skill for a short time. Will always Max the Users Skills.

- LISTEN: A Skill to Understand the Target User of their Wants, Needs, Worries, Thoughts, and Feelings through Listening and Watching the Target User’s Body Language and Facial Expressions.

They were a very fast Slime it seems, also a lot is messed up. ‘Why do I have all the Classes and why are they all Maxed? What happened? Is this something I should be worried about? Did something happen? Could it be that old Orange Slime that continuously Merges with me? Oh, right on time!’

‘Huh? What happened? Something is definitely wrong!’ They shook themselves, deciding that now wasn’t the time to worry about it and started to watch the gates of the town as it started getting dark. They heard songs being sung within the wall, laughter, idle chatter then the quietness of the town.

“Someone help! Please! Anyone!”

“What do you need help with?”

“My Child’s been taken!”

“Just a child? Call when there’s a real emergency! Crazy old woman!”

“Please! Help! My Baby!”

“Why won’t you help her?”

“Didn’t you see above her head? There’s something wrong with her, if we help her we could end up, ugh,” they made a motion across their neck. “Best to keep away from those kinds, besides the child isn’t real. There haven’t been any children being born in the last 20 years, not since-”

‘Why was the darkness always filled with these strange sounds? Why couldn’t they be nothing instead? Well at least it’s the next day, thankfully.’ Players started to gather around them offering their objects, each time they ignored them all. After a few hours of this the Players once again gave up and went about their day. ‘They must have a Taming Skill otherwise they wouldn’t be doing this.’

The Player’s were of... different sorts. Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Beast, Element and Human. Some of them were mixed races, it was nice to see. ‘This town must be a meeting point for them or one of them, looking out there it seems there are multiple places like this one.’

There was no Gentle Player this time, but that didn’t bother them since it could have been a one time thing. These Player’s have their own lives to live in Midnight World, a Slime like them wasn’t any different. They settled themselves closer to the tree and started to close their eyes, until a Slime popped up from a distance. The little Yellow Slime looked around and spotted them, they rushed over and snuggled close to them and started to doze.

“Come little one, our Guardian needs his rest,” a Purple Slime bounced out wearing armour fit for Knights. They looked sharper as well, like a cactus of sorts.

“They’re ok for a few more moments,” they said not wanting them to leave just yet, “What becomes of the Slime’s?”

“This is still the Spawning Point but it's set to this time and later when the Monsters are leaving. We’ve been gathering them up and bringing them to Slime Hope. It’s a moving Village now, one of the Slime’s has a Skill that will Teleport us away from our old spot to a new one. We refuse to leave you any further, you’ve kept the Monsters away from us for so long now...”

“From the looks of it, you’ve become quite a strong Slime Warrior.”

“Yes, I’m a descendant of Protect the Greatest Slime Warrior that helped us move away from this place. I like coming here and seeing you, I also look at how we used to live...”

“Well, when I’m more awake,” they started, “I hope to catch up more, I would also like to see more of our Slime Warrior’s.”

“Will you tell us stories of our victories from back then?” The sparkle in their eyes was enough to convince them that they would.

“Yes, I’ll tell you more of Slime Hope and its heroes.”

“Oh, please do! I can’t wait to hear more about Protect, Brave and Bugs during the trip here and how you fought against a Corrupted Slime Knight so that they could escape!” The Purple slime stopped themselves and put on a professional voice. “We’ll speak more later, right now the little ones are starting to spring out. Come, come little ones, let’s go home! Hurry now!”

“Rest well Slime Warrior’s,” they said as they watched the group of Slime’s leave the area they once called home to a new place that was better protected. Home...
