Chapter 13.

Chester's "kindnesses."

After leaving that room, Chester set fire to the bodies of both lovers and left with a sly smile on his face. Perhaps he shouldn't have acted that way because she was just another of the women who had given birth to one of his children, but then ¿what was it that made Emily and Glades different? ¿Why did it seem that from one moment to the next he had begun to feel a little mercy for them? ¿Had he finally decided that it was time to let them go? Or if, on the contrary, ¿it was just a game?... but nobody knew what was going on in Chester's mind, but one thing was certain, this last protective and possessive behavior did not make him better than an antihero... only he knew the reason for that reaction and it was that he himself had realized how much both women missed their children, which made it seem like he was making a decision about it; So he went to the room where they were sleeping, grabbed a syringe that contained a small, microscopic GPS and injected it into their bodies… 

Then, he caressed both of their faces, clearing his throat a little to wake them up… And when they woke up and saw him, they were terrified and backed away, but Chester looked at them and said: you need to go, fix your hair and put on more appropriate clothing; we're going to go to a place where you can both run, but I'm not going to catch you, you're going to be free, so if you hadn't noticed, behind that desk there's a door that's the bathroom, there are the clothes and shoes in both sizes and everything you need to get dressed and get ready, so I'll wait for you downstairs in an hour and a half.

After he left, they both looked at each other confused and worried, maybe he was just cleaning them to sell them to some sadist… Or worse, they were going to take out their organs and that’s why he needed them clean…

 Those ideas terrified the hearts of the women, who nervously entered the shower together, no longer ashamed of their nakedness, they removed all the dirt and scabs that were stuck to their bodies as best they could and took the opportunity to comb their wet hair and dress in the clothes that Chester had left them, which were casual, just a pair of jeans, some tennis shoes and a sweatshirt, it was nothing out of this world, but they were grateful that the clothes were decent and could cover their bodies completely.

 When they got to the bottom where he was waiting for them, they didn't dare look at his face because maybe he was going to kill them that same day, so they followed him closely, got into the truck and left, without recognizing where they were... when they got to a field the truck stopped and Chester said to Glades, you can get out, you just have to walk to the back and then to the right and there you will find what you are looking for... without protesting, Glades looked at Emily and hugged her and said: everything is going to be okay, I hope we can see each other again someday; goodbye faithful companion, goodbye.

So, Glades got out and began to walk in the direction they had ordered without looking back, the truck immediately took another direction, Emily was nervous, she didn't know what to do or what to feel, the man in front of her was fierce and ruthless, so she was terrified of not knowing where they were going.

After a while, Emily fell asleep and didn't realize that they had driven all night; When she woke up, she realized that they were staring at her, so she immediately sat up and told him that she was sorry, that she hadn't realized when she had fallen asleep... he told her: we arrived a while ago, you just have to walk two blocks and you'll be able to get to where you need to go. She immediately asked him: ¿Am I not going to see you again from now on?,But Chester laughed and said: Leave it to fate…

Without thinking twice, Emily got out and started walking in the direction he had given her, until she immediately recognized her mother’s house… and then, she started running to the front door of her house, she rang the bell desperately and anxiously waiting for someone to open the door… And when this happened, she saw her mother’s face tired and surprised to be able to see her and receive her with open arms in a warm family hug…

And having entered, the little voice that had kept her alive all this time was heard from the kitchen… then, when she approached, mother and daughter met again, the girl running into her mother’s arms and crying on her chest saying that she had deceived her because she had left her alone and that she had missed her every day…

Emily was a sea of ​​tears, she could not stop hugging the girl because she felt that it was something unreal and because of that, she was so sad that she could not stop hugging her. For a moment she wondered if Glades was going through the same thing, then she immediately felt happy because her friend was reuniting with her children too... without beating around the bush, she left a trail of kisses between the cheeks of her daughter who was crying with a look of disbelief; suddenly, little Angie said touching her mother's cheeks with her little hands: ¿Are you real or is this just a dream and when I wake up I won't see you again?, And crying Emily answered her, don't look back, my happy place is by your side even when the night is cold and dark, I will always take care of you and I will treasure you in my heart, the little girl kissed her mother with such feeling that even her grandmother who was watching from a distance felt her heart weaken and could not stop the tears from overflowing from her eyes. The meeting between the two had been wonderful, full of feelings, pure love and hope.

For her part, the same thing had happened to Glades with her three children, she couldn't help but not answer them when they asked her why their father didn't come back with her, so Glades simply told them that dad was now going to take care of them from another plane, but that he would always carry them in his heart... 

The children didn't want to ask any more, because they saw that their mother was in no condition to answer those questions and they only focused on filling her with love, kisses and affection, which comforted her for the suffering she had endured all this time; and even from a distance, she got excited thinking that Emily was surely having the same feeling as her, so she thanked God that she was able to get out of that place alive, but she wondered if they had really gotten out or if this was just part of the twisted games that Chester was playing, ¿would he be so ruthless as to kill his own children just for fun? She didn't know the answer, but she knew with sincerity that if her children were alive it was because he had allowed it, which was a relief on her part, thinking that maybe it wasn't as bad as it seemed, since there was no reason for him to leave them free and alive, there being a risk that they would report him to the police, but this was strange, it was as if they were walking on thin ice where any movement could cost them their lives.

So, stopping thinking so much, Glades promised herself to leave behind everything she had experienced in that place at the hands of Chéster, because the future was uncertain, but the only thing certain about the future was that she would always be in her children's lives despite the distance that could momentarily separate them...

That distance became short just by thinking about them and now seeing their beautiful little faces, so she told herself that every second of having survived those horrible mental and psychological games, which only Chéster Valt was capable of creating, had been worth it.
