Thank you for hanging out with my Bura Bura Babies. They've enjoyed your company. Book One: Let’s Start An Art Club has come to a close! Book Two is coming shortly! Stay tuned for the title drop in the coming weeks.
Although Book One has ended, we will continue uploading fun things for our readers from our student files.
Enjoy!
“Ahem. Greetings Young Master! Welcome to Bura Bura Academy. As today is the first day you are visiting our campus, I, James Higa, the Headmaster and curator of this Academy, will personally take you through every classroom, down every hallway, through every door; NOT A SINGLE CORNER OF MY BELOVED ACADEMY WILL REMAIN UNEXPLOR—“
“Oh? You came to monitor the students’ progress? You mean you’re not interested in registering as a freshman? Oh, why yes, you do look quite...mature to be a student.“
“Very well, One Moment.”
“Ines, bring me those student files.”
“Here you are. Take your time. I’m going to step out for a moment. Until our paths cross again!”
Shiro Ishida:
Our main protagonist! Shiro is a 3rd year at Bura Bura Academy. He is currently studying business and is working part time as a programmer for Bura Bura’s rival school, Tetsudori Institute. Such are the conditions of his bet with his father.
Shiro harbors much resentment for Keiko after she failed to keep her promise to attend Bura Bura with him. As a result, Shiro struggles to feel many emotions, such as joy, sadness, etc.
Keiko Matsuda:
The secondary protagonist. Keiko left Japan during her 6th grade year and moved to Spain with her mother after her father’s death.
Keiko initiated the promise with Shiro to attend Bura Bura Academy but did not physically show up at the school until her 3rd year. Keiko missed a few years of school while in Spain, as well as failed a grade in her primary years. Because of this, Keiko is a 20-year-old high school student!
Her home-life is quite chaotic and abusive. Her mother constantly interrupts her schooling and abuses Keiko, which is eventually discovered by her homeroom teacher, Tetsuya Azuma.
Shiro Ishida, an emotionally detached high school student, gives up his dream of becoming a writer in favor of a boring programming job after his estranged childhood friend, Keiko, breaks a six-year promise to attend high school together. But when Keiko returns their senior year, the two estranged friends work towards reconciliation by forming an Art Club together. When a project between friends turns into a fight to save their school from his own employer, Shiro must choose once again between honoring his controlling father’s wishes or his passion for storytelling, before he loses his freedom forever.
