It's impossible to overlook this significant individual. He is the CEO's eldest son and represents the company. "How dare you, Amelia!"He gazed at the photos, pondering a strategy to win back the woman, yet uncertainties arose about the child's paternity. With a smirk, he mulled over how to address the situation at hand. She was the woman he adored, the apple of his eye, and they had appeared together publicly on numerous occasions, becoming an iconic couple.
"Young master, I have the documents you requested," his assistant stated as he passed the man a folder containing multiple papers.
Kyosuke studied the document and photographs of a troubled family. While observing the worried relatives, his eyebrow arched in curiosity. After analyzing the information, he came across an 18-year-old girl dressed modestly. Motivated by a wish to right the wrongs of that crucial evening and enhance the well-being of the mourning family, he also harbored a secret motive.
" Kaelynnee Anderson."
The curtain, which had fallen from the window, obstructed her vision as she got out of bed, startled by the loud noises coming from downstairs. Surveying the scene, she saw men clearing out everything from the house. "Hey! What's going on?" she asked in a desperate tone.
"Ma'am, we're simply following orders. My boss instructed me that this is the address for eviction, with a payment that is 684 days overdue. He mentioned issuing multiple warnings," explained the man in uniform.
"No, that can't be right! I've been handing my paycheck to my mom every week for six months to help with the bills. Let me quickly call my mom to clear up this misunderstanding." Kaelynnee relayed the message and anxiously dialed her mother, her hands shaking, only to reach voicemail. Despite calling a dozen times and sending over fifty texts, there was no response. As she glanced at the man awaiting her reply, she noticed a yellow sticky note on the wall.
" What is that?" She walked over to the wall, carefully peeled off the yellow sticky note with her mother's handwriting, and began to read the message.
" Thanx for the money Kid : p enjoy life! "
No, this can't be
The man in uniform noticed the youth in distress," I have duty to fulfill. Unfortunately, if the misunderstanding is not resolved, you will have to depart. I can provide you with fifteen minutes to collect your belongings."
She asked, "What about my bed, TV, and couch?"
The man paused, "The items will be auctioned as per the agreements your mother signed. You have 10 minutes before we must escort you out of the house."
Kaelynnee was abruptly confronted by reality. Taking each step slowly up the stairs, she reflected on all the memories she had cherished over the years as she made her way into the bedroom. Sorting through her backpack, she carefully packed her essentials - her bedding, a family photo, an extra frame featuring her and her brother, her laptop, and a few outfits. It marked her final day in the house before facing eviction. Running her fingers along the wall engraved with her family name, she stepped outside to find a group of uniformed men waiting for her.
" Thank you for your service." She spoke while forcing a brave smile, yet inside, she felt a deep sadness as she walked away.
She reached out to her relatives seeking temporary accommodation while she regained stability or contacted her parents. Unfortunately, her family members turned her down due to her father owing them money, reluctant to support her financially, and ending the calls abruptly.
What am I suppose to do?
As night descended, she rested on a bench when rain started to fall. Swiftly rising, she sought shelter beneath a tree. Sensing her phone vibrate, she saw a notification from her online friend. Leaning against the tree, she confided in him about her situation. Observing him type intermittently and then suddenly cease messaging for hours, she almost considered deleting the app to seek refuge. Just as she was about to search for a safe place, a message from her online companion left her wide-eyed in disbelief.
"I have a proposal. What if I purchase a train ticket for you so you can stay with me? We can discuss the specifics when we meet face to face for the first time?"
