He stood in front of me as he sighed. His blindfold was readjusted, hiding away his sapphire eyes. Just like this white room, his blindfold was white. His glove was white. His mask and clothing was white. It was like emptiness was trying to engulf me. It sent me an unsettling chill down my spine. But despite all the whiteness, there was his dark navy hair like the midnight sky and his brown skin. They weren’t bright colours but it was all I needed to cling to my sanity. I needed to cling onto the non existent hope that I would survive.
“You're staring at me quite a lot, is there something you need?” He said breaking the silence but there was something strange. If he was blindfolded, how could see?
“I wasn’t staring, you can’t even se-”
He cut me off as he answered “Hmm do not be mistaken, this blindfold is not intended to hide my sight but I guess your knowledge of gifts is quite limited,” he chuckled, pulling down his mask a bit and highlighting his dimple.
“Well it never occurred to me that I would be chained up and possibly conscripted in this academy,” I replied deadpan
“Well consider yourself lucky,” he said, running his veiny hand through his hair but if the guy was trying to be funny he was failing miserably.
“Oh my stars forgive me for not jumping up and down in joy at the fact I’m about to be dissected,” I mocked, giving him a little jazz hand.
“Oh no I meant lucky that there a chance you could be attending the academy, it sucks to be you right now going to be cut open,” he corrected
“Lucky to be conscripted to the academy?” I scoffed
“Oh right from a commoner viewpoint it would be seen as hell but from a noble the academy is a prestigious and safe academy where high-ranking knights and mages are produced,” He explained
‘From a commoner viewpoint’ ticked me off but it also struck something inside of me. I never knew what it was like to be a commoner but only a princess. If you were to ask me from my past life I would probably say the same thing even if the academy didn’t exist back then.
“Why would nobles even go to an academy, with commoners, whose doctors dissect people and make them lose limbs?” I questioned annoyed
“We have classes based on power levels and each term there is a big test that is like an actual battlefield which means for a commoner your life is not guaranteed but for people like me it probably would be just a few scratches and demerits with disciplinary actions,”
“Wait, are you a student or a staff member here?” I asked. He seemed older than me but still young although he was here helping that doctor dissect me.
He laughed “If I was a teacher you would have gotten demerits for speaking out turn, my gift is just a useful one”
So he wasn’t a teacher but a student…
He placed back on his mask which seemed to put him on mute as Doctor Sylvia returned to the room she pushed a tray with sharp objects and hummed
“Aura time to be a good girl and start your treatment, you don’t seem to have a core nor mana vessels but have traces of mana in your blood perhaps you didn’t fully complete your mana awakening,” she commented examining me up and down coming close to me running her hands over me adjusting me on a table. Treatment? What bullshit was she going on about? She was going to dice me up.
“Unfortunately we don't have anything to put you to sleep so I'll just have to enjoy your beautiful screams,” she giggled holding up with care an object from the tray that T handed her.
“Oh my you're trembling so much and I haven't even started,” she said blushing
I wasn't scared. This will be over in a flash…
Her green eyes glowed, reminding me of a snake feasting on its prey. I was the prey as her hands slithered over me making my stomach turn and twist with every chance it had to. Without giving me another second to react the scalpel pierced my skin entering its way to a new territory and cutting me open.
“AHHH!” I screamed. I couldn't hold it in. My body couldn't hold in the intestines that stumbled out of my body. Yet I was still conscious I wanted to feel numb to the pain but the pain was as clear as day. “Hmm look at you so unclean,” she licked off the blood on my face near my lips feeling her cold snake tongue on me felt sick I couldn't help but vomit blood and I didn't know when it would end.
“Stop,” I whispered, panting, digging my nails into my palm as I clenched my hand into a fist.
“Awww be a good girl and beg louder,” she ordered, digging in deeper, and putting things in jars.
“T pass me the injection,” she called out, opening her hand, what stuff are they going to fill me with now?
My body felt hot…just a moment ago it felt cold. What exactly did she put inside me? My heart kept beating, that was a good thing, right? But it kept beating and beating and every time it did the pain grew it felt like a bomb on the verge of exploding.
“STOP, STOP, STOP!” I screamed and begged but the only thing I got in response was pain and the laugh of that Damn snake ringing in my head never letting me have peace. But the only peace I could achieve right now would be death… Would I die like this?
“It is a pity if you're not able to overcome the poison,” she sighed “My new precious toy would be dead before I know it,”
Toy
If I remember exactly I was the puppet princess Aura who was simply a candidate to be the chosen one. Everyone had their own lives and matters. There were officials who would cater to my needs so they could whisper sweet words into my ear if I ever was the chosen one. I catered to everyone's desire but myself. Because without the princess title I was simply Aura. But who was Aura?
Right now I'm going to die but there were regrets that clinged onto me like leeches.
For some reason in this life, I had a desire to live. Because I had more people to cherish in this life than the last.
My eyes felt heavy…perhaps I should rest them for a bit.

“Aura, how can you not understand the basic spell? If you want me to spend time with you, at least show some talent like your sister Aster!” a lady stood tall with a frown and eyes filled with disappointment as she lectured a small girl, wearing a white dress decorated with the finest jewels, named…Aura?
That was me in my past life…Was I reliving a memory?
The younger me started to cry making my mother annoyed as she sighed “Aura I hate tears don't make me send you to the white room,”
The white room…
The younger me quickly buried her head into my mother's dress causing the snot and tears to stain mother's dress.
“Aura why must you be so…so childish!? Why can't you be more like your sister!” She shrieked, grabbing my wrist tightly, and dragging me to the white room as I sobbed and begged.
She opened the door quickly pushing me into the room “Aura you are a princess and must act like one if you and your sister fail me your father will bear another child with his Mistress and mother will be gone. Do you want your mother to die because of you? Do you want your father to forget about you!?” She lectured.
I didn't want to be forgotten and I didn't want her to die.
She slammed the door shut leaving my younger self in the white room. Everything was white.
She left me there for days with one meal a day while the evil spirits that were weak would haunt the younger me.
But I noticed something about my younger self shadow. It was a book. When I noticed that the white walls collapsed I found myself in front of a grave.
‘Gaia, a fantastic mother, wife, and daughter will be reunited with the stars. Xxx-xxx’
There were candles no longer lit by the grave but there was also a book dusty but still the same book I've been seeing. Sitting open carefully by the grave, I knelt hovering over the book to see what it said.

Chapter 2
If you are reading this you are probably my chosen descendant on the verge of awakening their mana. You probably have inherited my spiritual powers so instead of me guiding you you'll have the pixies in the spiritual world guide you.
A long time ago I helped in the creation of four books to seal Nyx and Selene's powers. There were four books: time/fate, elemental, light of creation, and finally darkness of Destruction; altogether they make Nyx and Selene powers.
If you find yourself ever in a crisis gather these books to help you. Although after aeons have passed the books may have been claimed
The rest of this book is empty because it is now up to you to figure out how you will use your powers as the next spirit princess.
