The days passed slowly, filled with confusion and despair for Felicity. Three recurring individuals cared for her in the room, sometimes all together, other times one at a time. They weren’t doctors, but they were always present, observing her every move. Felicity didn’t understand their words, but their constant presence kept her on high alert. Additionally, they were incredibly beautiful, with an almost unreal appearance that heightened her bewilderment.
Time blurred together. She didn’t know if she woke up every day or only in brief moments. Each time she opened her eyes, the same confusion overwhelmed her. However, one day, the situation changed. She felt a sense of relief when the tube in her throat was removed. The sensation was strange, like having a thorn pulled out, but soon she could breathe more easily. Her voice, however, remained weak, and her throat was sore, preventing her from speaking clearly.
Every day, she tried to communicate with those around her, but the strange language and her own state frustrated her. She felt different, smaller, but there was no time to analyze that feeling. She needed to escape, to flee from this nightmare.
One afternoon, she noticed that the caregivers were not present. This was her chance. With a surge of determination, Felicity got out of bed. The abrupt movement pulled the intravenous needle from her arm, causing sharp pain, but she ignored the discomfort.
Her legs trembled under her weight, and as she took her first step, she fell to the floor. With superhuman willpower, she began to crawl, using her weakened arms and legs to move forward. She propped herself against the wall and slowly stood up, staggering toward the door.
The hospital hallway stretched endlessly before her. The bright lights and noises disoriented her, but she pressed on, driven by fear and confusion. She didn’t know where she was, but any place outside that room seemed like an improvement.
She managed to advance a few meters, each step a battle against her body’s weakness. Her small hands clung to the wall, trying to keep her upright. Her breathing was labored, and her heart raced wildly.
Finally, alarms began to sound, and the staff in white coats rushed after her. Felicity barely managed a few more steps before firm hands caught her.
“Please, calm down,” a nurse said, but the words made no sense to her. She resisted, tried to break free, but her body betrayed her will. She felt her mind slipping away again, the effects of the medication and fatigue dragging her back into darkness.
At that moment, as the darkness enveloped her once more, Felicity felt despair and confusion taking hold of her. Her mind swirled with unanswered questions about where she was and what had happened to her. However, amidst that despair, a new and powerful desire arose within her: to understand the truth of her situation and find a way to escape. The determination to unravel the mystery surrounding her and reclaim her freedom grew stronger than ever. Though the darkness reclaimed her, her spirit remained resolute, determined to fight for answers and not give up.
