Here are some fun facts about my series that may interest some people while book 2 is being prepared.
1. The setting of the book is the same setting that I have been guiding my own D&D party through since 2019! They have yet to go to Holn, but right now they are basically living through the same area as Ezra in episode 47!
2. I never intended for all of these characters to be in the same universe, but now I couldn't imagine it otherwise.
3. The cover (without the title) has been my phone background since way before I even knew I was going to make it a cover of any kind!
4. I am far more confident about book 1 than book 2...
5. Little fun facts about each main character!
Milo: The very first version of him had golden spectral wings he could summon! I'm glad that didn't last too long.
Corym: has a very deep understanding of lore and fairytales and how different histories resulted in them
Ezra: I didn't know he would be appreciated at all, and I am very much considering a re-design for him since I don't actually enjoy drawing him all that much...
Calixa: speaks with quite a strong accent. She doesn't understand most sayings either.
Lila: Loves cake probably more than she loves the moon. Bribing her is difficult unless you have sweets to offer.
Lockwren: is an expert in poisons.
6. The Eviran motto that is on the first copy of the map I made while on the floor of my appartment is "The Winds that guide, the strength that binds". That's why some characters will just say "Guiding winds" as a phrase.
7. The Eviran colors are teal white and copper!
8. One of the cities in Evira, named Krangan, is the oldest city I created. Back in 7th grade (12-13 years old) I was in a creative writing class, where I wrote a book about fae who live underground in this big babylon-tower-like cave. It's always been so clear to me that I threw it in my worldbuilding.
9. I have zero plans of formally publishing! Actually, I would like to avoid it.
10. Without creating Corym, I don't think the story would exist, at least not as it is. I owe A Crownes Game to a firend on insta who asked me about 'Milo's dead partner." I started writing and designing Corym then, to help figure out what Milo was missing. I got my first fanart of them together then, which unlocked the first chapter - Episode 102 - The Last Dance. One chapter led to another, and another and another... So while Milo is the main character, it's really Corym's story.
Bonus: The contents of the envelope in the Epilogue:
"...So while Mile is the main character, it's really Corym's story." + the envelope contents that follow right after. Yup. I'm done. No joke I'm crying rn
