I promise we'll get back to ACG
soon - Monday, in fact! Are you ready for the team's arrival in Ylirie?
What do you think they'll find there?
For
now, today is the day against homo/bi/transphobia. Wherever you are, I
hope you feel safe. In any case, this is a very safe zone. You are
valued just the way you are, and any way you want to be.
Here's a tiny little story I whipped up based on one of my first Mirym sketches.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Milo
couldn't help but get Corym some flowers on his way home from the
university that day - there was no reason, really, other than they were a
stunning blue, one that reminded him of his eyes. When he handed them
to him, he still couldn't seem to catch Coryms attention, he glanced
over at what he was staring at - a pair of older Keepers, pointing in
their direciton, whispering what was likely nonsense about a Keeper and a
drow-changeling. And yet, Corym was smirking.
"What are you thinking?"
With
the grace of a dancer, Corym stretched up to stand on his toes, making a
show out of kissing Milo, before peppering small kisses on his cheek.
"Are they still looking?"
Milo blushed and glanced in the direction of the older Keepers, staring judgementally.
"Yeah, they are."
Corym chuckled. "And they say they don't like seeing this, liars."
Milo
started laughing at Coryms comment, surprised by his reaction. He was
usually far more uncomfortably aware of peoples' gaze.
"This is quite something to come home to."
"You're the one who brought me flowers. Thank you, by the way."
Milo
glanced back at the Keepers who for some twisted reason still didn't
get the message. He slid a hand between himself and Corym, displaying
his middle finger so the others may finally stop looking at his fiance
like he fell from the sky, or whatever it was they were judging this
time.
Noticing
it, Corym broke into a laugh, and let go of Milo, taking his hand to
walk back home together. "You just flipped of people you family works
with, that was bold."
"Well, it was bold of them to judge us in the first place."
Corym
sighed and tilted his face towards the sun, content, before lifting
Milo's hand to kiss the back of it. "Please never stop surprising me,
Mi. Never, ever stop."
