Chapter 16
“I don’t know..” Zavier groaned, his face still leaning into Kaine’s hand. “That’s why I’m so worried. Sheila is pretty crazy, you know?” He felt Kaine begin to pull his hand back and grabbed his wrist, another tear rolling down his cheek. “Do you secretly want to leave me too?” Zavier asked, panic setting in as he tightened his grip. He felt Kaine gently pull him down, helping Zavier rest his head in his lap. Zavier kept his hold on Kaine’s wrist, but he slightly loosened his hold.
Kaine began to clumsily run his fingers through Zavier’s hair. It was clear that it was his first time comforting someone. Despite the amount of times that his fingers caught on knots in Zavier’s hair, he felt comforted.
Zavier began to yawn and get sleepy after a while, he reached up and rubbed his eyes. As he did so, he felt Kaine shift under him. Kaine slowly shifted his arms until they were securely under Zavier, he then lifted him up gently. He slowly leaned into Kaine, gathering a handful of his shirt in his grasp and closing his eyes.
In his half asleep state, Zavier felt Kaine place him gingerly on his bed. Kaine began to leave, but Zavier refused to let go of his shirt. He could feel Kaine trying to slightly move his fingers so that he could leave. However, Zavier simply grabbed Kaine’s wrist and pulled him down onto the bed, wrapping his leg around his and his arm around Kaine’s waist.
He felt the man stiffen under him, but he refused to let him leave. Instead, Zavier actually just snuggled up closer to him. As he slipped further into sleep, Kaine began to relax a little. Zavier slowly smirked and buried his face in the back of Kaine’s neck.
