Alpha Nathaniel watched the beautiful Eileen sit elegantly on the piano stool and thought her the epitome of perfection. Her posture was perfect, and she held an air of sophistication around her- rightfully befitting a future queen. The red dress she had on was stunning; it clung to all her curves in just the right places and went so well with her rich black hair which cascaded in waves around her shoulders. He was having trouble keeping his eyes off her, which was a problem considering he was in the middle of negotiations with her future husband.
Future. Husband.
These words grated on him since the moment he first saw her in the grand hall and realised how blatantly portraits lied. This girl didn't have blank, soulless eyes or an expressionless face. Instead her eyes burned with passion and life; they were mesmerising even when she was angry and glared at her fiancé for putting her on the spot by that obnoxious display of affection. Her face displayed a myriad of beautiful emotions, all of which he could only stare at in awe.
Even now her glare was set in place as she faced the piano as if angry with it, and as if it's the last thing she wants to do right now. Yet the melody her fingers create is so utterly beautiful that it reaches the inner depths of his soul. He realises that he is still intensely staring at her, considering her fiancé has glared at him subtly a few times already to remind him of his place, but he doesn't care. He watches her while feeling an intense churning in his gut as he scans her face to search for something.Anything.
Any sign that she picked up on the bond like he did the moment he saw her.
She gives him nothing though, beyond a clueless look at his intensity, and he remains confused.
The mating bond is an intense feeling; one that is felt by both the people involved and is impossible to hide, no matter how good of an actor a person is. Yet she shows absolutely nothing, despite their proximity.
