SERPENTOR.
Chapter 1.
The memories of a true love.
The months pass and it feels like a thousand years of time passed just to find you, it seems that all my thoughts, tenderness and sadness, are all for you… destiny is like a shadow of smoke floating between the eyebrows, a catastrophe is heard in my heart, in the past, present and future life; I find you in every dream, I move my sleeves to show the fireflies.
The shine of the palm is reflected in the eyes of who looking back does not want to leave, because this love stays in your heart, I will never separate from you even in eternal life…
In my heart I met her before, I fell in love in the middle of the purest and most selfless love in the world, be it dream or reality, be it sweet or bitter, I just want to meet you again.
That was practically what Captain Foster thought when he saw the photos of his beloved with the very particular sparkle of her innocent gaze, his memories, he could not help, but remember that whoever committed those atrocities remained free and in complete anonymity, but you did not have to be a saint to decipher that innocence always comes dressed in elegance and respect, that could only say one thing and it was Patrick Tempus, the most cowardly man he had ever met in his life or perhaps the most audacious than the damned doctor who knew how to play God with everyone, even with those who said they were his children.
Captain Foster could not accept with all dignity that Patrick was a clean and fair man, and above all kind against those who judged him, only for that reason could he understand why women practically threw themselves into his arms if he was the prototype of a man that anyone could wish for: handsome, tall, exceptionally fit, millionaire and family man.
With emotional responsibility, that kind of man who brings you breakfast in bed and says good morning…
The man every woman dreams of marrying, but he knew that those kinds of men don't get to where they are without first making sacrifices and carrying some dead bodies on their backs.
Patrick could lie to everyone but himself, because he also knew how to play the same power game that characterized any man with airs of superiority.
He himself recognized himself as a murderer disguised as a soldier and each death was a medal that led him to become a captain; that wasn't something you could get in a box of cookies, it was something you fought for, killed for and received merits for, so he understood that male nature would sooner or later end up influencing the life of every man.
Statistically, it is almost impossible for a man to have not stained his hands with blood for various reasons throughout his life.
Even he could recognize that there were women in this life who were worth more than a thousand men.
Shadow Woman was one of them: ruthless, soulless and heartless, but ultimately she was a very wise and meticulous woman with her work, so much so that they have never been able to find her true identity, but the cruelty of her actions speaks louder than a thousand words.
And while the captain analyzed the behavior of Shadow Woman, he tried to compare it with the behavior of the Cradle Desecrator, but it was impossible to find any similarity between the two, especially because both covered their faces: she with a silver mask and he with something more ingenious, the raven mask…
They were two completely calculating people who, in his opinion, planned each movement months in advance as if they were both soldiers and created war strategies.
To tell the truth, each of their movements was so well executed, that it even seemed like they were a team, but it was obvious that neither Shadow Woman nor the Cradle Defiler really knew each other, or that is what Captain Foster wanted to believe, because as much as he looked for some kind of connection, it was completely impossible to relate the two, starting with the fact that the identity of either of them was totally unknown... and if they did meet and could reach a mutual agreement, it would be because of the toxicity levels of both.
It is well known that both have created, so to speak, a name in history for the cruelty of their crimes, and not only that, because both are controlling, manipulative, narcissistic, self-centered, vengeful and two Alpha people would not allow someone else to give them orders to execute their plans, that is why Captain Foster rejected the idea that Shadow Woman and the Cradle Defiler knew each other.
But in a moment of lucidity he had a small memory of the trial that had been held against Patrick Tempus, since in one part it was mentioned that Patrick had confessed his feelings to Brianna Bardot, and this made him analyze a little more the friendship that existed between the two, because if there was something that Captain Foster was 100% sure of, it was that Patrick was the Desecrator, and if he wasn't, at least he was an accomplice.
ice of the real author, so digging a little deeper into some old interviews that had been done with the family, he noticed something that probably some people had noticed as well and that was the mask that Brianna wore, which was totally different from the Shadow Woman's, but in a way it fit the character; and the more he searched, Captain Foster found a video of Alain Bardot totally denying the accusations against his youngest daughter Brianna and stating that she only wore the mask because she had very serious burns when she was much younger and was still recovering, but that was no reason to degrade her daughter to someone as cruel and ruthless as the Shadow Woman was.
So Captain Foster, analyzing the videos on the Internet and the few appearances of Brianna, came to the conclusion that either it was true that she was innocent or she really was the Shadow Woman, but something didn't fit in the case and that was that she was, because no one with so much money and power would sell their services to commit crimes, it didn't make sense to him and much less when seeing that the Bardot family's assets were large enough to pay the foreign debt of a small country... and just for this, the captain did not rule out the possibility that she was the Shadow Woman just for fun, but he couldn't confirm it either, so he would keep her the same as Patrick: as a possible author without confirming or denying anything.
