“Have you ever kissed anyone?” Mek asked. "I realize you don’t know me, and this is a personal conversation, but it might be better this way. Whatever you tell me, you won’t have to worry about running into me again and being embarrassed about what you shared.”
“Oh, so this will be a hit-it-and-quit-it night, huh?” laughed Lom. Mek winced then laughed with him.
“You haven’t answered, Fah. Have you kissed anyone?” Lom wanted to know as well.
“No.” Fah wanted to melt into the floor. He stared at his hands on the table.
“You still haven’t had your first kiss? You’re almost 21 years old!” Lom said, much too loudly for Fah’s liking.
“Fuck off, Lom. Could you be quieter? I know it’s funny to you, but it's not to me.” Lom's mockery hurt him. Maybe Lom wasn’t the one for him after all. Mek stood up, walked around to the other side of the booth, and sat next to Fah.
“This way you're in the middle and won’t have to yell to tell us things.” He put his arm around Fah’s shoulders and hugged him. “We aren’t making fun of you. It’s probably because Lom and I are jaded whores (he winked at Lom) and it’s strange for us to meet someone our age who is so innocent and pure.”
Lom had been listening, but seeing Mek’s arm around Fah was making it hard for him to concentrate.
“Let’s drink to innocence!” Mek raised his glass, and the others joined him in clinking glasses. They all drank.
“Let’s drink to accepting the truth about ourselves!” Lom said, raising his glass. Again, they all drank. Mek and Lom continued finding reasons to drink and the server kept refilling their glasses.
Lom and Mek had learned to hold their liquor over the years. Fah, who had spent all his free time studying with Manao, had never gone out drinking. He began smiling nonstop and laughing. His head kept falling to the right or left; he could no longer hold his neck upright. The other two noticed and began teasing him.
“Do you want to know what a kiss is like?” Mek asked Fah.
Lom’s eyes narrowed. Surely Fah wouldn’t kiss a stranger.
“Yesss…,” said Fah. “Are you going to kiss me?” Fah giggled.
“Do you want me to kiss you?” asked Mek. He wanted consent or he wasn’t touching this innocent boy.
“Mm!” said Fah as he slid sideways and rested his head on Mek’s shoulder, looking up at him with puppy dog eyes. It was too much for Lom to take.
“You want to know what kissing is like? We’ll show you!” Lom leaned in front of Fah, pulled Mek to him, and began kissing Mek. They were only millimeters away from Fah’s face.
They kissed once, tentatively, but immediately it became more passionate. Tongues began to wrestle before going off to explore other mouths. Fah watched in amazement. All at once, he sat up and leaned back against the booth, crossing his arms. It finally sunk in that Lom was making out with someone else right in front of him and watching it was breaking his heart.
“Stop!” Fah thought he had yelled it, but no one else heard.
The other two continued to kiss. Now their hands were on each other’s necks and faces. It was a nightmare for Fah who couldn’t say anything to Lom to make him stop. Not knowing how to make it end, Fah stuck his hands between their lips and pushed their mouths apart. Mek and Lom looked at him.
“I thought you were going to kiss me!” Fah yelled at Mek as he punched his shoulder.
“Okay,” Mek said laughing. He turned to Fah. Using his right hand, he gently cupped Fah’s chin. “I’m going to go slowly, okay? Since you’ve been drinking and it’s your first time, I'm telling you in advance I’ll tilt my head to the left and you should do the same.”
Slowly he pulled Fah toward him while staring into his eyes. Their lips met and slowly they began kissing, ever so gently. Fah pushed for more, surprising Mek, as well as Lom who watched in shock. Mek responded and began French kissing Fah. Knowing his tongue was the first to ever explore this boy’s mouth excited him. Fah's eyes closed as he relaxed.
For a first-timer, this man is an amazing kisser, thought Mek. He's better than Lom if I'm to make comparisons. Not that Lom wasn’t good at it as well, he was a close second. They kissed for what seemed an eternity and Mek could feel his pants getting tight he was so aroused. He wondered if he pursued it if he could be Fah’s first time with a man as well. That thought made him even harder.
Lom's jealousy grew. He hated to admit he was jealous but there was no denying it. However, he wasn't sure if he was jealous of Mek or Fah or both. He cleared his throat but the other two ignored him. Fah began to moan.
“Okay, that’s enough action here at the table. You guys, stop it.” Lom’s voice wasn’t loud, but his decisive tone caught their attention.
“Oh, sorry,” Mek said, trying to get his libido under control. Damn, this guy will be the end of me, he thought as he sat back and removed his arm from around Fah.
“I get it,” laughed Fah.
“Get what?” asked Lom.
“You’re jealous. That’s why we had to stop.” Fah began singing "Lom's jealous, Lom's jealous" in a slurred, giggly voice so it came out sounding like "Lahhhmmmzz zhell ass"
“Jealous? Me? Of whom, you or Mek?” Being called out by Fah pissed him off.
“I don’t know. You kissed Mek. But you didn’t kiss me so how can we be sure who you’re jealous of?” No sooner had Fah finished saying this than he grabbed Lom and began kissing him.
At first, Lom stiffened up, but Fah’s lips were insistent, and surrender was Lom’s only option. He responded to the kiss and was surprised that someone, whose first time had been less than five minutes ago was already this talented at kissing. He began to wonder why he had never thought to kiss Fah before.
"Hey, you two, why don’t the three of us get out of here?” Mek asked.
Lom agreed. Fah just giggled. Mek paid the bill as Lom helped Fah out of the bar. In the parking lot, Mek joined them.
“Do you two want to come to my place? I live around the corner," said Mek.
“I don’t know, he’s pretty drunk. I think I should take him home,” said Lom.
“I have a couch he can sleep on. He’ll be fine,” Mek reassured Lom.
“Okay, sure, I’ll follow you in my car."
At Mek’s apartment, Lom helped Fah up the stairs while Mek ran ahead and made a bed on the couch. He grabbed a bottle of water for Fah and placed it on the table next to the couch.
“Fah, do you need to go to the bathroom?” asked Lom.
“Yessssss…” Lom took Fah to the bathroom where he peed, washed his face, and then abruptly turned back to the toilet and vomited.
“Oh, why did you get this drunk? You’re going to feel like shit in the morning.” Mek and Lom put Fah to sleep on the couch. Looking up at the two men staring at him Fah laughed.
“I kissed both of you! My first time and I kissed two men! Yay for me, I’m a hottie!” and immediately passed out. Mek and Lom laughed out loud.
“Shall we?” asked Mek, gesturing toward the bedroom.
“I believe we shall,” said Lom.
Twenty minutes later Fah awoke.
Where the hell am I? Ugh, I feel awful. Whose house is this? How did I get here? Who did I come with?
Sitting up Fah drank some water, rubbed his eyes, stretched, and decided to follow the sounds of moans from down the hallway. Reaching the bedroom door he hesitated. The sounds of techno music became audible as he neared the door.
I don't want to embarrass anyone or pry, but I need someone to take me home. How did I get here? I want my bed.
Slowly, and as silently as possible, he opened the door. It took seconds for his brain to register what he was witnessing. There was Lom, fucking Mek, both of them moaning and enjoying it. Clothes were strewn everywhere as if they had been in a frenzy of passion. On the floor, directly in front of him, was an opened condom wrapper. Next to the bed lay a tube of lube.
Instantly Fah sobered up. He kept watching, his heart breaking with each of Lom’s thrusts. Mek’s back was to the door, sitting on Lom's lap. Lom faced him, however, his eyes were closed. Unable to move or speak Fah stood there, his hands balled into fists at his side; he couldn’t shut the door or his eyes.
Tears ran down his face because Lom had chosen Mek over him. A stranger. Sure, Mek might be nice, but how much did they know about the man? On the other hand, Lom knew Fah, they'd been close since they were children and still, he had rejected him. Fah had no idea how long he had been watching; he’d made no move to wipe the tears streaming down his face. Lom’s eyes met his. Fah’s lip quivered, but no sound came out. Lom stopped thrusting and Mek, aware that something was happening, turned to face the door.
