Chapter 4: Long Way Home

As Akuma grabs his backpack to go home, he gets called from behind

Akito: "Heeeey! Akuma! Wait up!"

Akuma: "Eh?"

Akito: *breathing heavily* "Y-Yo *sigh* you wanna *sigh* go home together?" (god damn it, I have no stamina, maybe I should join the track team)

Akuma: "You should probably catch your breath first"

Akito: "Yeah *sigh* I'm almost there"

Akuma: "Sorry, I take a different path home, so you can't come along"

Akito: "It's fine... Tomorrow then!"

Akuma: "Yeah..."

While walking home, Akuma starts wandering with his thoughts

Akuma: "I have never noticed how beautiful the scenery here is, I take this route because I like walking" "And also because I got a lot of time to burn"

Tanaka: "Who are you talking to?"

Akuma is startled by Tanaka, he turns around fast, steps back and falls to the ground

Tanaka: "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you"

Akuma: "No, it's fi-"

Tanaka: "Here, let me help you up"

Tanaka lends her hand to you, offering help. Akuma takes her hand and stands up

Akuma: *flustered* "T-Thank you"

Tanaka: *smiles* "Hehe, my pleasure!"

Akuma: "You take this route home?"

Tanaka: "Not really, I just have something to do"

Akuma: "Oh, I see."

Tanaka: "What about you though?"

Akuma: "I-I just like walking"

Tanaka: "Don't you get tired?"

Akuma: "Not really"

Tanaka: "That's impressive! You should totally join the track team!"

Akuma: "Honestly, I'll consider it"

Tanaka: "Yaaay!" *Jumps* "Yipeee!" *Spins* "Yet another member on my track team! I must be the best leader ever"

Akuma: *laughs intensely* "I haven't even agreed yet!"

Tanaka: "Just let me have this moment"

Akuma: "Alright, alright"

Tanaka: "...Talking to you is so much fun"

Akuma: "I g-guess I could say the same about you" (Wait, why am I flustered?)

Tanaka: "Hey, you're actually smiling!"

Akuma: "I-I am?" (It's not like I like her or anything)

Tanaka: "You totally are, dummy!" "You should smile more often, you look better that way"

Akuma: "R-Really? F-fine then, I'll smile more" *whispers* "For you" (We're just classmates, yeah)

Tanaka hears his whispered words and gets instantly flustered

Tanaka: "Y-Yeah..."

Tanaka: "I guess this is where we depart."

Akuma: "Alright, good bye Tanaka"

Tanaka: *whispers* "It's Fumiko..."

Akuma: "Huh?"

Tanaka sprints off from embarrasement and yells out

Tanaka: "It's Fumikooo~"

Akuma: "F-F... Fumiko..." (Saying her first name out loud, it's a really cute name)

Akuma arrives home

Akuma: "I'm hooome" *closes the door*

Rina: "Sup bro, you look like you had fun today, did something happen?"

Akuma: "Yeah, kinda. I'm sooo exhausted"

Rina: "Hmmmm, wanna talk about it"

Akuma: "Sure, over dinner?"

Rina: "You got it, now go change"

Akuma: "Fine, I'll be right back"

Akuma goes upstairs to change into more comfy clothes

Akuma: "A lot of smoke is coming out, did you burn something?"

Rina: "No way! I'm not you"

Akuma: "Hey, what is that supposed to mean??"

Rina: "It means that you're terrible at cooking, you burned the kitchen down trying to scramble eggs while I wasn't home"

Akuma: "I told you it was an accident"

Rina: "Suuure. Here, have some green tea"

Akuma: "Hmph" *sips on tea*

Rina: "A thank you would be nice, you know?"

Akuma: "I don't believe in magical words"

Rina: "But you believe in little magical girls? That's crazy"

Akuma: *chokes on tea* "Wait! How do you know that???"

Rina: "Oh I was just cleaning your room and I found a blue magazine laying aroun-"

Akuma: "Liar! I always hide my Manga!"

Rina: "Okay, okay, you caught me. I did take a look at your secret stash"

Akuma: "Ughhhh, you really had to do it, didn't you?"

Rina: "I was curious, okay? What secrets could my little bro hide from his big sister?"

Akuma: *slams head on the table* "Stop iiit"

Rina: "I know you're hiding something! Do you have a crush? Do you smoke? Do you have magazines of models-"

Akuma: "Stop teasing meee!"

Chapter 5: Dinner Talk

Rina: "Here you go" *Gives Akuma his plate* "I know how much you love Chicken Curry"

Akuma: *Completely drooling* "Since when did you care about what I liked?"

Rina: "Rude, I'm your big sis, you know? I am obligated to take immense care of you to the best of my abilities!" *Proud glowing face*

Akuma: *Too busy eating*

Rina: "Hey, are you even listening to me?"

Akuma: "Sorry, but I have to admit, you make amazing Chicken Curry"

Rina: "Of course I do, I was a che-"

Akuma: "A cook for a 3 Michelin star resturant, I know, this is like the third time you brought that up this week"

Rina: "Why did you have to say 'cook' like that?"

Akuma: "Because you keep saying you were a chef, which is a lie"

Rina: "What's the difference? It's basically the same thing"

Akuma: "Noo, it isn't" *Takes a sip of water*

Rina: "You're so mean to me, and here I am, cooking you your favorite meal."

Akuma: "As you should"

Rina: "You little rascal" *messes with his hair*

Akuma: "Stop it, I'm eating!"

Rina: "You say that, but I know you love it when I mess with you!"

Akuma: *Flustered* "You're so annoying"

Rina: "Takes one to know one"

Akuma: "Sometimes I wonder how we're related"

Rina: "....." "Akuma..."

Akuma: "What's with that serious look on your face"

Rina: "I think it's time that I let you know." *Looks down at the table*

Akuma: "What are you saying?"

Rina: "Akuma... This isn't easy for me to say but... You're adopted..."

Akuma: "H-Huh?? Drop the jokes!"

Rina: "I'm being serious this time... our parents really wanted a boy, but mom had fertility issues"

Akuma: *Stops eating*

Rina: "After I was born, they decided to go to an adoption center, and that's where you came into our lives"

Akuma: *Drops his spoon, so shocked that he can't move a muscle* "So, that means..."

Rina: "Yes, Akuma. I'm not your sister, and our parents aren't your real parents..."

Akuma: "P-Please... Tell me you're joking"

Rina: "This is no joking matter, Akuma..."

Rina: *snickers* "Pffft HAHAHA THE LOOK ON YOUR FACE" *laughs hysterically*

Akuma: "Wh-What?"

Rina: "OH YOU ACTUALLY FELL FOR THAT! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT"

Akuma: *His face turns from shock to rage* "Rina..."

Rina: "I'm sorry, I couldn't hold it in. For a straight A student you're not that clever"

Akuma: *Accepts defeat and sighs* "I hate it when you do this, your pranks always cross the line"

Rina: "Sorry, sorry. I'm just a lonely 20 year old girl with nothing much going on, I gotta find ways to entertain myself"

Akuma: "I know, I know. That's why I'm not mad" *Goes back to eating his food*

Rina: "Anyways, what have you been up to today?"

Akuma: "Today was actually good, I fell on the back of my head, went to the Nurse's Office with Fumik- I mean Akito, chatted with the nurse, and went home as usual" (I cannot tell her about Fumiko, she would not let it go for the rest of my life)

Rina: "So let me get this straight, you fall on your head and go to the nurse, and you call that a good day?"

Akuma: "That's not what I meant, I meant that it was different"

Rina: "Yeah, every time I ask you about school you tell me the same thing: 'nothing much, it's just school', but this time you came back not looking like a zombie"

Akuma: "Hmph, stop calling me a zombie"

Rina: "Awww, is my cute little zombie angyyy?"

Akuma: "Ughh whatever, it was actually nice talking to people today"

Rina: "Oh? Who did you talk to? Tell me, tell me!"

Akuma: "I chatted with Akito for a bit and had a conversation with the nurse"

Rina: "Nurse Tara?"

Akuma: "Yep, that one- Hold on a second, how do you know her name?"

Rina: "We actually went to school together!"

Akuma: "Oh right, you two are the same age"

Rina: "Yeah, she pursued nursing while I wanted to become a cook, so we went our seperate ways"

Akuma: "Were you two close by any chance?"

Rina: "I'd like to think we got along very well" *sips on tea* "We were in the same class for 3 years, Her sister was always so protective of her, so I couldn't talk to her much outside of school"

Akuma: (That totally sounds like Ms. Asami) "I wonder if she recognized my last name"

Rina: "Eh, probably not, it's been a long time since we've last seen each other"

Akuma: "Then how did you know she was the nurse in my school?"

Rina: "Remember when you got accepted by this school? And how you had to move in to my house because it was closer than our parents'?"

Akuma: "Yeah?"

Rina: "...God I wonder how you even got accepted into this middle school with that brain of yours"

Akuma: "Wait, you live next to the school, of course you know"

Rina: "Well, no shit Sherlock!"

Akuma: "Shut up, shut up"

Rina: "It's getting late, you sure you wanna keep arguing?"

Akuma: "Wow, I didn't notice how quickly time flied by"

Rina: "Yeah, you should probably go to bed now"

Akuma: "You're right" *yawns* "Good night sis"

Rina: *giggles* "Good night, my little zombie!"

Akuma: "I told you I'm not a zombie!"

Chapter 6: Trio Trouble

The next day, Akuma sits down on his chair as usual, not expecting anything to happen

Akito: "Good morning, Akuma"

Akuma: "Good morning"

You can hear a thud coming from behind you, it's Akito slamming his head onto his desk

Akito: "Today is so boooring"

Akuma: "What do you mean?"

Akito: "I mean, everyone's quiet, Ms. Asami is probably late, and it's boiling hot!"

Akuma: "What, you can't handle a little bit of heat?"

Akito: "I can, it's just boring"

Akuma: "Y-You know, I actually can't handle heat t-too well..."

Akito: "Wait, really???"

Akuma: "Don't laugh!"

Akito: "I'm not, I'm not. It's the fact that you told me about yourself for the first time"

Akuma: "It's n-not that big of a deal"

Akito: "I thought this day would never come!"

Akuma: "You're just overreacting now-"

Akito: "I take it back, this day is AWESOME!"

Akuma: "Could you shut up? Jeez, my head hurts"

Akito: "Did you not get enough sleep?"

Akuma: "Mhm, I stayed up late talking to my sister"

Akito: "I see now" *whispers to Akuma* "Is she hot?"

Akuma: "DUDE!"

Akito: *laughs* "I'm kidding, I'm kidding"

Akuma: (Horny teenagers...)

Tanaka is intrigued by what the two of them are talking about, so she hops onto the conversation

Tanaka: "Hello, Hayashi!"

Akuma: "H-Hello Tan- I mean, Fumiko"

Tanaka: "Hehe, you'll get used to my first name very quickly"

Akito: "Huh? Since when do you guys talk to each other now?"

Akuma: "Since yesterday..."

Akito: "Oh right, she walked you to the Nurse's Office"

Tanaka: "That's right! We even met on the way back home~"

Akito: "Uuuuu, how interestin-"

Akuma hits Akito in the guts with his elbow

Akito: "Ouch! I was just kidding, you know?"

Akuma: "Maybe you should stop making those jokes"

Tanaka: "It's fine, reall-"

Akuma: "You don't get to decide what's fine and what's not, Tanaka."

Tanaka: "...Sorry" (Hmph, meanie...)

Akito: "What the hell, Akuma?"

Akuma: "Wait, I'm sorry Fumiko, I didn't mea-"

Tanaka: "Just stop..." (Oh god, why did I say that? What do I say now?)

Akuma: "What do you mean by that? If you want to say something, just say it"

Akito: *whispering in Akuma's ear* "Dude, you're being a jerk to her, you should relax"

Tanaka: "You didn't have to say it that way"

Akuma: *sigh* "I know, I apologize, sometimes I just... Say things without thinking, my mouth opens before my brain functions" (Something's wrong with me)

Akuma lowers his head to express disappointment of his actions. As soon as he raises his head, Tanaka pokes his nose

Tanaka: *poke* "It's fine, silly! I know you didn't mean it"

Akuma: "Y-Yeah, I thought so" (did Fumiko just... Poke my nose? So childish... And cute...)

Akito: "Hey Tanaka"

Tanaka: "Hm? What is it Kimura?"

Akito: "I don't see Nishida around today"

Tanaka: "Oh, she said she couldn't come today"

Akito: "Huh? Is she sick?"

Tanaka: "I can't tell you, she told me to keep it a secret"

Akito: "Come on, what could she be hi-"

Akuma hits Akito in the guts... Again.

Akuma: "Don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong, idiot" (we're not even friends yet and I already have to scold him)

Akito: "Stop hitting me dude"

Tanaka: (These two are hilarious, although I never expected Hayashi to be the type to use force. I guess there's more to learn about him~)

Akuma: "Stop being an idiot first"

Akito: "Okay, okay. I'm sorry Tanaka"

Tanaka: "Oh there's no need to apologize!"

Ms. Asami barges into the classroom

Ms. Asami: "Apologies for being late everyone, I had some errands to run"

Akito: "Awww man, I don't wanna studyyy"

Akuma: "Then why come in the first place?"

Tanaka: *giggles* "I'll leave you both to it, make sure to talk to me after class, Hayashi!"

Akuma: "B-Bye, Fumiko..."

Akito: ".....You're blushi-"

Akuma: "No, I'm not!"
