As the school day comes to an end, Akuma takes his backpack and leaves the class, Tanaka runs to catch up to him so they can go together

Tanaka: "Heeey! Wait up Akuma!" *catches up* "Wanna go home together?"

Akuma: (Damn, she's pretty fast, and she's not even gasping. I guess that's what you get for being in the track team)

Tanaka: "Hellooo, From Earth to Hayashi."

Akuma: "Oh s-sorry, I spaced out didn't I?"

Tanaka: "Yeah, you did." "Since Nishida is absent, I thought I could go home with you instead, is that okay?"

Akuma: "Yeah, s-sure"

Akuma and Tanaka walk together on the same path, it seems as the two of them are starting to get along

Tanaka: *spinning around* "This road is so beautiful! So many Sakura trees, my favorite!"

Akuma: "Yeah, it's really peaceful in here since no one takes this way home"

Tanaka: "Maybe I should juuu- woaaah!"

Tanaka gets dizzy from spinning and falls on her back

Tanaka: "Ouuch, that hurts..."

Akuma: "Fumiko! Are you hurt?"

Tanaka: *talks in a dizzy matter* "YYYeaah, I'm just uhhh, dizzy, that's all"

Akuma: "Here, let me help you up"

Akuma lends his hand to Tanaka the same way she did to him the day before, she blushes and takes his hand

Akuma: "You shouldn't be spinning for that long"

Tanaka: "S-Sorry, I couldn't help it."

Akuma: "To be honest, I'm surprised it took you that long to fall over"

Tanaka: "Hehehe. Well, that's what you get by being the great 'Tanaka Fumiko', a one and only limited edition super girl!"

Akuma: *laughs* "You're so corny"

Tanaka: "Sorry, sorry. It helps with my self-confidence"

Akuma: "I'm pretty sure it's working"

Tanaka: *smiles* "Say, what do you think?"

Akuma: "Huh? About what?"

Tanaka: "You told me you were considering joining the track team yesterday, did you make a decision yet?"

Akuma: "Ohhh, I completely forgot about that, can you wait 'till tomorrow?"

Tanaka: "Of course! You don't have to ask me to wait, take your time"

Akuma: "Alright, thank you Fumiko"

Akuma finds himself in front of his house and suddenly stops, Tanaka is startled by it

Tanaka: "Hayashi? why did you stop?"

Akuma: "It's because, I-I arrived"

Tanaka: "O-Oh, so this is your house?"

Akuma: "Yep, pretty basic"

Tanaka: "I think it's nice! Do you li-"

Akuma: "Isn't your house the other way back? Why did you come along?"

Tanaka: "Oh y-yeah, y-you see, I was just, umm..."

The silence from both Tanaka and Akuma is almost deafening, it's like the entire world was paused for 5 seconds, the enthusiasm is wiped from her face as she tries to find the words she desperately needs

Akuma: "You don-"

Tanaka: "Going to Nishida's place! Yeah."

Akuma: "Wait, does Nishida live nearby?"

Tanaka: "Well k-kinda?"

Akuma: "Alright, see you tomorrow Fumiko"

Tanaka: "S-See you..." (Phew, almost fumbled it)

Akuma enters his home, confused by the awkward ending of that conversation, he starts wondering.

Akuma: "That was the stupidest lie I've ever heard... I'm pretty sure Nishida does not live anywhere close to here." (Why would she even lie? Did she come along because she likes my compan- Nah, that's probably not it)

Akuma: "Riiinaaa, I'm hooome, where are y-" "....."

Rina: "O-Oh... hi b-bro"

Rina is found laying on her belly on top the ground, surrounded by tens of tissues and some silverware that she seems to have been dropped

Akuma: *sighs* "What are you doing?"

Rina: "I tried to p-prepare dinner, but I c-couldn't, I instantly crumbled on the ground"

Akuma: "It's fine, I'm still full from yesterday's dinner." "Aren't you hungry?"

Rina: "I ate some leftover *sniff* rice"

Akuma: "You look miserable, did you get sick? Are you okay?"

Rina: "I'm f-fiiine, it's just a cold"

Akuma: "Still, you're ill, go to bed"

Rina: "I tried but... I failed"

Akuma: "You know I can't carry you to your room, right?"

Rina: "I'll crawl to my roo-"

Akuma: "No, don't, it- *sigh* let me try"

Akuma tries dragging his sister all the way to her room. Even though the house is small, it felt like he's been dragging her for miles

Akuma: "You're s-so *struggles* heavyyyy"

Rina: "Are you calling me chubby?"

Akuma: "Is that what you're worried about?"

Rina: "I don't wanna be chubbyyy"

Akuma: *sighs* "Sometimes I think you're just a big child"

Rina: "Mmmmaybe I am"

Akuma succeeds at dragging her to her room, but is unable to lift her to bed

Akuma: *struggles* "Okay *sigh* I'm spent, I cannot lift you, can you stand up?"

Rina: "N-No..."

Akuma: "Ughh, let me grab you a mattress"

Rina: "That's s-so *sniff* sweet"

Akuma: "Here, you can sleep here for now"

Rina: "Can you cover me up? I'm getting cold"

Akuma: "Do you want the pink blanket or the purple one?"

Rina: "The p-purple one."

Akuma: *wraps her with the blanket*

Rina: "This feels sooo much nicer already"

Akuma: "Get some rest, I'll get you some medicine tomorrow morning"

Rina: "T-Thank you bro, I love you"

Akuma: *blushes* "...I-I know." *closes the door*

Akuma is tired from carrying his sister to her room, so he goes to bed early.

However, he has a very bizzare dream: While in a stranded road, he sees a man walking slowly behind him, his eyes piercing through Akuma's soul. Akuma starts speeding up and the man starts chasing him, Hayashi realizes and immediately sprints away with all of his power, but no matter how fast he runs, the man is getting closer every second, until eventually he catches up to Akuma. But right before he grabs him, Akuma wakes up.

Akuma: "!!!!!" *breathes heavily* "What was that all about?"

Akuma: "I'm so god damn slow... I'm joining the track tea-" *7 am alarm goes off* "Oh... Right, I gotta grab Rina some medicine"

Akuma dresses up, buys his sister the medicine she needs, puts it next to her while she's sleeping, and goes to school in a rush. He arrives to the class a bit late but Ms. Asami doesn't mind and let's him in, he sits down at his desk and instantly gets bothered by Akito

Akito: "Dude, you're late"

Akuma: "I know."

Akito: "What took you so long?"

Akuma: "Nothing."

Akito: "I think you're lying to me and that something did happen"

Akuma: "Maybe."

Akito: "What do you mean by mayb-"

Ms. Asami: "Kimura, you can talk to your classmate later, so focus on the lesson"

Akito: "Y-Yes Ms. Asami!"

Class ends and Akuma walks up to Tanaka while she's talking to Nishida

Akuma: "H-Hey Fumiko"

Tanaka: "Hayashi!"

Akuma: "Can I borrow you for a second?"

Tanaka: "Of course!"

Nishida: (These two are acting like I don't exist *sigh* and he's calling her Fumiko? That's new)

Akuma: "S-So, I finally made a decision about the track team"

Tanaka: "Oooo tell me, tell me!" (Please join please join please join please joi-)

Akuma: "I decided that I will be joining the tra-"

Tanaka: "YAAAY!"

The loud celebration from Tanaka grabs the entire class' attention

Tanaka: "S-Sorry everyone!" (I got too excited...)

Akuma: "W-Wow, I didn't know you'd be that happy about me joining the track team"

Tanaka: "Of course I am! I got a friend to join my team!"

Akuma: (A friend? Did Fumiko call me... A friend?)

Tanaka: "Hayashiii, wake uup, you're zoning out again"

Akuma: "Oh, sorry. When do we start?"

Tanaka: "Club activites start now"

Akuma: "Really?"

Tanaka: "Yeah, how does it feel to be lucky?"

Akuma: "Good, I guess" (A friend, I'm a friend, she's my friend...)

Tanaka: *giggles* "I know it does, now hurry up and come with me"

Akuma and Tanaka show up to the school field, she shows him around and starts talking about practice

Akuma: "So let me get this straight, we're gonna do weekly PR tests on the 50m, 100m, and the 200m dash. Our daily practice consists of a race of 3 laps around the school field, then we run 10 laps with pushups in between every lap, failing to complete them will result in ranking lower in the leaderboards. And we host a contest each month to determine the fastest runner on the team which is based on a 5 lap run"

Tanaka: "Wooow Hayashi! *claps disturbingly fast* You got it so quickly, no wonder you're on top of the school!"

Akuma: "Y-Yeah, I'm kinda smart"

Tanaka: "Alright, now get ready for the daily race newbie!"

Akuma: "Yes ma'am!"

Tanaka: *yells into the megaphone* "Okay everyone, on the count of 3"

Tanaka: "1... 2... 3!!! Go, go, go!!!"

As everyone starts running, Akuma gets quickly outpaced. And after the first lap, he instantly gets tired

Tanaka: "Pick up the pace newbie!"

Akuma: (God damn it, I'm too slow and I get tired quickly, I thought this would be like walking)

Tanaka: "Come on! Is that all you've got??"

Akuma: (I need to concentrate on my breathin-)

Tanaka: "You're eating too much dust Hayashi!"

Akuma: (I cannot concentrate at all! She's yelling so loudly into that megaphone)

Tanaka: "We got a turtle on the team, everyone! Turtle! Turtle! Turtle!"

Akuma: (This is not how I expected this to be. Infact, this is starting to get annoying)

Takana: "Is that what you call runnin- AHHH, THERE'S A BUG ON MY ARM!"

Akuma: *laughs* "What an idi- woaaah!" *falls face first* (I'm starting to believe in karma now...)

As Tanaka is freaking out and trying to kill the bug, everyone finishes the race while Akuma is barely starting the 3rd lap

Akuma: "This *gasp* is *gasp* the end of *gasp* me, *gasp* oh god help me"

Akuma: "I'm so close *gasp*, but so far *gasp* away-"

Akuma collapses on the ground mid lap, unable to finish the race

Tanaka: "Hayashi! Stand up! Who says you can give up?"

Akuma: (My body? I cannot move my legs at all)

Tanaka: *starts chanting* "Stand up! Stand up! Stand up!"

Akuma: *struggles* (Yeah no, I can't move and she's yelling at me...)

Tanaka: "Hayashi? You good?"

Akuma "....."

The medical team takes Akuma to the Nurse's Office, Tara was not there for that day, Tanaka watches over him while the nurses give him some vitamin pills and he goes back to the track to finish his daily laps, Tanaka continues to yells at everyone (mostly Akuma) through the megaphone

Akuma: *gasps* "I did it, *gasp* *sigh* it only took 45 minutes"

Tanaka: *still yelling through the megaphone* "Great job Hayashi! You can rest now"

Akuma: "Maaan I'm spent, *stomach growling* I'm so hungryyy, I was too late to buy something for lunch today"

Akuma goes over to rest and get some water, Tanaka rushes over to him after she's done with the team

Tanaka: "So, did you enjoy it?"

Akuma: *startled* "You need to stop sneaking up on people like this"

Tanaka: "Sorry, it's funny sometimes"

Akuma: *sighs* "I guess it was something"

Tanaka: "Was it a good something or a bad something?"

Akuma: "I don't know yet, but it was a new something, that's for sure"

Tanaka: "Sounds to me like you had fun!"

Akuma: "Yeah, you could say that" (It was actually kinda frustrating)

Tanaka: "I'm glad to hear that, you know..."

Tanaka's tone suddenly shifts from her usual cheerfulness to a more serious one

Tanaka: "A lot of newcomers quit after the first 2 days"

Akuma: "Why is that?"

Tanaka: "They tell me it's not for them and that it was worth a try, but I know the real reason is... Because of me."

Akuma: "What? Why would that be the case?"

Tanaka: "When I'm in class, or walking across the hallways, I can hear them talking about me. They say I'm too extreme, and that I'm annoying and frustrating, and that I'm completely different when I'm a leader"

Akuma: "That's not right, you're a great leader, everyone else just can't handle the heat you bring to the field!"

Tanaka: "Do you really think that?"

Akuma: "Yes, I mean it!" (Of course I don't, but I can't stand seeing her upset like that) "And to prove it to you, I am not going to quit"

Tanaka's sadness fades away as Akuma cheers her back up, and she can't resist smiling as hard as her face allows her to

Tanaka: "T-Thank you so much, Hayashi. I really needed that"

Akuma: "Hey, it's weird when I'm the only one calling you by your first name, you can call me Akuma"

Tanaka: *blushes* "O-Okay Ak-Akuma"

Akuma: "Say it again."

Tanaka: "Huh?"

Akuma: "Say my name again"

Tanaka: "Okay. A-Akuma..."

Akuma: "Again"

Tanaka: "A-Akuma"

Akuma: "Again!"

Tanaka: "Akuma!"

Akuma: "You got it right this time"

Tanaka: "Hehe, thank you! I'm not used to your name yet, it feels weird on my tongue"

Akuma: "Hmmm, I got a solution"

Tanaka: "What is it?"

Akuma: "Do you have any nicknames on your mind?"

Tanaka: "Well, not really"

Akuma: "How about just Aku?"

Tanaka: "Aku... Aku, Aku. That actually sounds nicer!"

Akuma: "Well, you can call me Aku whenever you want"

Tanaka: "Really? I can? That's so nice of you!"

Akuma: "It's nothing" (Anything to make you cheer up, Fumiko...)
