Akuma gets carried to the Nurse's Office, the nurses check his knee and find out that fortunately it was not cracked but just dislocated, they put it back into place and apply some ice.

He asks about Tara and they tell him she has been absent for the last 2 days for an unknown reason, he asks if he could go back to the track but they decline his request, telling him that he needs to rest for the time being.

Hayashi goes home later than expected, he takes the short way home for once because of the pain in his knee. After a long walk, he arrives home and finds a bento box at his doorstep, he picks it up and it has a note stuck to it that says: 'From Tanaka: Get Well Soon!'

Akuma: *sighs* "At least I don't have to worry about Rina's meal for tonight"

Akuma: *opens the door* "Riiinaaa, I got you something, are you awaaake?"

Rina: "Brooo, I can actually yell now! I'm in my room, come in"

Akuma: *enters Rina's room*

Rina: "Theeere you are, how was school today?"

Akuma: *sits down* "So god damn exhausting, can you believe we start tests tomorrow?"

Rina: "Whaaat?! That sounds so unfair!"

Akuma: "I know, right? But what am I gonna do about it?"

Rina: "It's gonna be okay, your big sister's getting better and when she recovers, she will help you with aaall your tests and exams"

Akuma: "I hope so too, anyways, I got you something to eat"

Rina: "Oooo this looks good, let me open it myself"

Akuma: *gives her the bento box* "I actually don't know what's inside by the way"

Rina: "What do you mean you don- OOOH NO WAY!!! Take a look Aku!"

Akuma: "What are you so excite- oooh it's your 2 favorite dishes"

Rina: "You have no idea how much I've been craving some Sashimi, this Yakitori looks delicious too!"

Akuma: "You can eat to your heart's desire, Rina"

Rina: "Mmmm sho guud! *swallows* "Who made this?"

Akuma: "I got this from a res-"

Rina: "Oooo there's a note here, I wonder what it says."

Akuma: "Wait! Hold on! Please don't read that!"

Rina: "Hmm 'From Tanaka: Get Well Soon!'"

Akuma: *defeated face* (My life is over now...)

Rina: "Akuu~ You never told me you had a girlfrienddd~"

Akuma: "I-It's not like that!"

Rina: "My little bro's growing up so quick, *sniff* makes me wonder what other things you're hiding from me~"

Akuma: "Would you please drop it?"

Rina: "Not until you tell me who Tanaka is, I can tell if you're lying by the way"

Akuma: (I guess I actually have to tell her now...) "She's my classmate from school, nothing more"

Rina: "Hmmm, would a classmate make you Mishima and Yakitori out of the blue though??"

Akuma: "W-Well, we might be some sort of f-friends"

Rina: "Hmmm, alright I believe you"

Akuma: "H-Huh? You're not gonna tease me about it?"

Rina: "Nah, I would but I'm too busy enjoying the heck out of this bento box! She's sooo good at cooking, maybe you should bring her over sometime"

Akuma: "N-No way!"

Rina: "Aww, what a shame, I'd love to cook dinner with her"

Akuma: *sighs* "Okay, maybe o-one day"

Rina: *smiles* "You've been suspiciously nice to me recently, what's gotten into you?"

Akuma: "Well, you're sick, who's supposed to take care of you?"

Rina: "I can take care of myself, you know?"

Akuma: "Rina, you literally couldn't move"

Rina: "Okay, okay, fair enough"

Akuma: "I'm gonna go study now, I got a test tomorrow"

Rina: "Oh, right, good luck with that bro!"

Akuma: "Good night" *closes the door*

Akuma goes upstairs to his room and starts studying for the upcoming test, he concentrates so hard that he loses track of time and it's nearly 2 am already, he rushes to bed so he can get as much rest as possible

Akuma could not sleep well that night, and when he woke up he couldn't help but feel himself breaking by the minute, he has never been through so much stress before ever since he started putting his life together. Everything was piling up on him and his back could crack at any moment, the track team activities, taking care of Rina, studying for tests, and not to forget his knee was still in pain... But he stills persists for the sake of his priorities, sacrificing his mental health and sanity in the process.

Hayashi goes to school reluctantly, with his face expressing sleeplessness and a hint of rage, trying to hide it now is useless. He sits down as usual and waits for the test to begin

Akito: "Hey Akum-" "Hey don't ignore me now, I already said I'm sorry!"

Akuma: "Sorry, the test is starting soon, better revise for that"

Akito: "...Are you oka-"

Akuma: "Even if I wasn't, it's none of your business"

Akito: "Okay, jeez, I'll leave you alone for now" (He's weirder than usual today...)

Akuma looks at the test and is bewildered of how difficult it is, he writes and he writes, battling through his tiredness and pouring all of his remaining energy onto the test. After the test is done, he can't help but to feel pure rage, lunch time has come and he has forgotten to pack anything for today

Akito: "Huuuh? No lunch again? How do you even survive?"

Akuma: "I-It's fine"

Akito: "Your face tells me otherwise, you look really tired"

Akuma: "Can you help me not look like a miserable pile of garbage?"

Akito: "Alright, I gotchu"

Akito messes with Akuma's hair, applies some weird product on his face, and wipes it off, now Akuma's looking like a brand new person

Akito: "Ta-daaa, what do you think?"

Akuma: "This is, interesting... You really know a thing or two about all of this skincare and hair styling thingie or whatever it's called"

Akito: "Yep, my mom is a hair stylist!"

Akuma: "Wow, I never knew that"

Akito: "Well, now you do"

Akuma: *stands up* "...I'm going to the track early today, see ya"

Akito: "Tomorrow then!"

Meanwhile, Tanaka and Nishida are eating together

Nishida: "I'm exhausted, that test was really something, wasn't it?

Tanaka: "Yeah, it was harder than I'm used to, but I managed to do pretty well"

Nishida: *sighs* "I wish I was as smart as you, then I would actually get higher grades"

Tanaka: *flustered* "Stop iiit!! I'm not smart or anything"

Nishida: "Okay now you're just lying, stop being so humble"

Tanaka: "But it's true! I'm no-"

Tanaka sees Akuma leaving early, so she decides to follow him

Nishida: "Hm? Where are you going?"

Tanaka: "Sorry, I'll tell you later!"

Nishida: "Wait, what about your lunch!"

Tanaka: "I'm not hungryyy!"

Nishida: *sighs* (I don't feel good about this...)

As Akuma's walking slowly to the school field, he can't help but notice Tanaka following him slowly while hiding, he found it funny so he didn't tell her that he can see her and sat where he usually does: next to the dead Sakura tree.

Tanaka is looking at him all worried, so she decides to not startle him this time but actually run to him

Tanaka: "Heeey! Akuuu!"

Akuma: "Fumiko."

Tanaka: "You look so different today!"

Akuma: "Akito messed with my hair a bit"

Tanaka: "I think you should keep it, it looks good on you"

Akuma: "T-Thank you..."

Tanaka: "Sooo, how did you like it?"

Akuma: "Like wha- Oh, do you mean the meal?"

Tanaka: *nods* "Mhm!"

Akuma: (I can't tell her that my sister ate all of it, I didn't even taste it!) "It was amazing! The Mishima melted in my mouth and that Yakitori was charred to perfection!"

Tanaka: *blushes* "Y-You really think so?"

Akuma: "Of course I do" (Again with the lies, although I bet it tastes as good as I made it out to be)

Tanaka: "Thank you, Ak-"

Abe: "Tanakaaa, get over here!"

Tanaka: "I'm comiiing"

Tanaka sprints off to Abe, she asks her about the well-being of Akuma and she says he's doing great, but what she doesn't know is that he is on the verge of breaking.

Akuma: "It's that idiot who knocked me over yesterday, what does she want now? Don't act like you care."

Once again, everyone gets into position to start the race, and Tanaka yells into the megaphone.

Tanaka: "Alright everyone, on the count of 5"

Tanaka: "1..."

Akuma: (Take it easy)

Tanaka: "2..."

Akuma: (Wait, is it raining? Really? Now of all ti-)

Tanaka: "5!!! Go or get lost!!!"

Akuma: (SHE SKIPPED THE COUNTDOWN)

Akuma got bamboozled by Tanaka's trick and is trying to run despite of the pain in his right knee, the rain is getting stronger and stronger and it's harder for him to keep his balance.

Tanaka: "Run faster you idiots! Are you afraid of the rain?"

Akuma: *stomach growl* (I'm soo hungry)

Tanaka: "Watch out everyone, slipping is for losers!"

The race is almost done, Akuma is in 8th place and the hunger is getting to him, he tries to control his hunger and anger but that causes him to slip and fall on his shoulder.

Tanaka: "Looks like a loser's on the floor, you gotta stand up! Stan-"

Akuma. Starved, hurt, tired, and now drenched in water and mud, he stands up and leaves the track, heading for the changing room.

Akuma: (A loser, huh? Is that what I am to you? I really am an idiot)

Tanaka runs behind him and grabs his arm

Tanaka: "Akuma?"

Akuma: *pulls his hand away* "....."

Tanaka: "You good?"

Akuma: *turns to her* "Look at me, do you think I'm good??"

Tanaka: "W-Well, it looks like yo-"

Akuma: "No, Tanaka. The answer is no"

Tanaka: *stressed* "C-Can I get you some water then? Maybe something to ea-"

Akuma: "That's not the issue, Tanaka"

Tanaka: "Then what is? What do you want me to do?"

Akuma: "I want you... To leave me alone for today" *walks away*

Tanaka: *grabs his arm* "Why?? "

Akuma: "Let go of me Tanaka!"

Tanaka: "No! And why are you calling me 'Tanaka'? Aren't we friends?"

Akuma: "Friends? I don't have friends"

Tanaka: "B-But you said-"

Akuma: "I don't care what I said!"

Tanaka: "....."

Akuma: "Is that what friends call each other? Idiots? Losers?"

Tanaka: *tears up "I-It's not like that"

Akuma: "I'm just sick of playing your stupid little game, I'm tired of being yelled at, it's annoying, it's too much, it's-"

Akuma looks at Tanaka's face and notices that her face isn't wet from the rain, but it's actually her tears...

Crying with an expression of disbelief of what he said to her, those words really dug deep into her soul and heart, and she couldn't hold the tears back anymore...

Akuma: "T-Tanaka..."

Tanaka: "G-Get away from me!"

Akuma: "Tanaka, wait!!"

Tanaka sprints off while Akuma is calling her name

Akuma: (W-Wait... What just happened? What did I just do?)
