Yala reflected on how much a young body influenced in the manifestation of her powers and thanked the Unpronounceable, with a silent pray, because this would help her in her journey. She chose the dimension that was closest and most similar to the Material World, with the only difference that there was still magic pulsing there.
Her rebirth went just like in the first time she abandoned the Kingdom of Dreams, but, instead of emerging in a clearing on a spring day, this time she materialized on a starry night at the inhabited top of a mountain, with only rocks and ice as her witnesses. She seized the isolated environment to get used to the new body and suppress its aura, noticing, in the process, something on her head that she hadn’t felt in centuries. Her fingers touched small reliefs where her horns once were. When reborning in this new world, her body absorbed the rune she carried with her, revealing the unpredictability of magic even to someone like her.
- It’s never too late to learn, after all - she muttered to the darkness.
Without knowing how much time it would take until dawn, she decided to wait right there, pondering about the difference between what people imagined in their dreams and the things created by the chance of existence. Both were impressive and lovely, in their own ways, but it was the first time that the Web of Existence confused her. While the sunbeams dissipated the ocean of clouds, revealing the landscape, her breath almost stopped in the moment her eyes landed on gigantic floating mountains, making her question if she wasn’t, herself, the result of someone else’s dream.
