Shijin didn't think there would ever come a day where a god as powerful as himself would feel nervous at the thought of facing a human. The only time he had ever felt such feelings was when Phanes jokingly challenged him into a duel. The level of fear he felt that day stayed engraved in his mind, forever hunting him. 

Shijin would be meeting Noa Shields, the human he had fallen in love with for the first time in a year. Though he felt nervous, the prospect of seeing her made him feel excited more than nervous.

Noa was making her way out of the grocery store when she felt a sudden chill. Turning around, she saw a tall man, his skin was as pale as the moon, his hair as dark as the night. He stood there staring at her with his gold eyes that carried the heat of the underworld. Noa's heart was beating a mile a minute and she could feel her breath being caught in her throat. She couldn't believe what she was seeing and a part of her hoped that what she was seeing wasn't an illusion. The man disappeared and Noa felt a pang in her heart. Suddenly the pain appeared right before her, his scent filling her nose and warming her heart. He slowly raised his hands and caressed her face with his long fingers. She could feel the heat from his fingertips which shocked her. The man before her was real. Tears started to pour from her eyes, and the man gently cupped her cheeks, bringing her closer to him. 

Noa closed her eyes as she felt the warmth on his lips on top of her own. The man kissed her softly as he took his time savoring her lips. Time seemed to slow as the two were in their own world, enjoying each other's presence. They stayed like that for a while before the man pulled away. Looking deep into her eyes, the man's heart warmed. He sighed in contentment as he finally had the woman he loved back in his arms. Noa's eyes fluttered open, as a smile formed on her lips. The man kissed her forehead before speaking. 

"I am back, Noa." 

Noa intertwined her fingers with the man as she looked up at him. Her heart felt full and the loneliness she felt disappeared immediately. The man she had been waiting for was now back and she couldn't hide the joy she was feeling. He was finally back to his rightful place.

"Hm. Welcome home Shijin."
