We were now starting to get closer and closer to the top of the mountain. The stairs were so long that I even started sweating. This felt like forever. Finally, after what looked like years of climbing a staircase, we finally arrived at the location that my sensei wanted to show me. I was starting to be angry when I realized that we did all this for four statues of swordsmen. We did all of this just for that!?

“SENSEI, DON’T TELL ME THAT WE DID ALL OF THIS JUST FOR THOSE STA…”

“Listen to me before saying anything that you could regret”

I didn’t understand why he was saying that to me, until he started telling the story of thoses 4 legendary swordsmen:

A long time ago, a group of four swordsmen were called the “Legendary Warriors”, because everyone thought that those four men, with crazy powers, were literal gods. They were unstoppable. Ninjas, bandits, other clans…  They all tried to kill those mens, but they were never able to. Yeah, after all, those guys were so powerful that a single punch could make the planet shake. Unfortunately, every good thing has an end, but this was not just a normal end. In fact, they died in the most terrifying and the most inimaginable battle that could exist: A battle against the demon king. One day, the Legendary Warriors, composed of the 4 gods, realized that the demons were striking more frequently, and they decided that it was enough. They directly went to the planet of demons, with the help of Melio, the god of Earth, who was also a demon-swordsman like you. Arriving here, we don’t know much about how the battle went since nobody witnessed it, but we just know that after the combat, the demon king sent their bodies back to our planet and he said that the war was declared. Since then, the demons are always chasing and killing humans, because like says the Prophecy, the demon king can’t go on the planet of Humans, but strangely, the Prophecy also says that one demon king, who will fight with his friends for the throne, will be the one to break this rule and will be able to visit this beautiful planet. 

Wow… What a hell of a story… He described everything so well… My sensei really has the power to tell stories… Now I understand just a bit why he wanted me to see the statues: To realize that those statues symbolize the Legendary Warriors of before. That being said, another detail is making me more excited than ever: The first demon king to travel around those 2 worlds. It could be me if I am really the child of the Prophecy. Talking about the Prophecy… What does it tell? My story? Or… The story that I am going to write myself? It’s interesting… Anyways, I then asked my sensei something that was troubling me since the end of this story: 

“Sensei… Why are you showing me all of this out of nowhere? Is there a real reason for that?” I said.

“Fred… I just want you to understand that one day, you could be the one changing this world from all the hatred and the war that happens all around this world…” He said.

“Since I am the son of the demon king right?” I added.

He then looked shocked by what I just said. I mean, he shouldn’t be surprised and do the comedy, since he probably already knew that I am the son of the demon king. His face then changed.

“Who told you that you were part of the royal family, and even more precisely the son of the demon king?” He asked.

“The old man tried to explain that to me, but that’s not how I realized that. During the fight with this demon that could multiply himself, I had a flashback… It was in the moment just before I was sent to this planet. My dad was saying that I was weak, that I shouldn’t be in the royal family and asked me to leave, but something wasn’t right. It looked like… I wasn’t the same person… When I looked at myself, I couldn’t recognize who I was, like if I was a complete stranger…”

“Hmmmm…”

He started to think about what I just said. Eventually, he came to me with an answer:

“Actually, it’s completely normal that you wouldn't recognize yourself, since back then, you were in your complete demon form. Now, compared to the others, you have a complete humanoid form, if we exclude your mark. So that’s probably why…”

He took a long breath before continuing. 

“Actually, you know what? Let’s do something. Since you now know that you are the son of the demon king and you can kind of master your mark, I’ll personally show you how to completely master your mark and… To master the power of our gods. Yeah, it’s definitely time for me to pass you the swordsman mark…”

YAYYYYYYY! I was soooooo excited! Now, I could finally be as strong as my sensei and even surpass him in power! I’ll show him that he won’t regret his decision!
