After his incredible speech, Fred then got up, motivated, and stared directly at me with his eyes that looked like the sea with his clear blue pupils. He then took a long and deep breath before continuing:
“So, we can start now?” He said calmly.
“Of course, I was just waiting for you to…”
I didn’t even have the time to finish my answer because he rushed me. I blocked his punch easily, but something strange happened. I didn’t really understand why he suddenly started attacking me until he finally did it. A strange bloody red mark was trying to spread everywhere on his body. That wasn’t his demon mark… It was his swordsman mark… How? He was already able to master this mark only by getting up and being ready to fight? He was definitely no ordinary kid or demon… Then suddenly, when I was stuck in my thoughts, he decided to strike again, this time with his leg on my left shoulder. This one was clearly stronger, so strong that I flew away really far, so far that I went on the other side of my gigantic garden, destroying a couple of trees in my way. I didn’t even have the time to get up that he was already heading towards me again. He tried to punch me in the face, but I was lucky and I got enough time to quickly dodge his attack and run away to prepare myself for another strike from him. As I expected, the second he noticed I dodged his attack, he directly looked towards me and ran at me. I was prepared to block his attack but he then passed behind a tree and did not reach the other side. He was definitely trying to strike me off guard, but that wasn’t going to go exactly as he would planned. I closed my eyes, concentrating on hearing the little sound of his footsteps. After a couple of seconds, I finally heard a little sound, right behind me. He was right there. The following second was so fast that I didn’t completely understand what happened. He tried to punch me, but I dodged it really quickly and punched him directly in the face, but he actually was able to block that with his right hand, and he finally punched me again, but this time in my stomach. Since I wasn’t expecting that punch and didn’t have the time to block it, I flew really far away like last time, but this time I even went further than the garden. When I crashed in the plains surrounding my house, a gigantic hole formed around me, but that didn’t stop me. Even then, I got up and since he wanted me to get serious, I activated my swordsman mark as well. I went back to my garden, and I was surprised when I saw my student sitting on the ground, waiting for me to come back. I loved and I hated at the same time his attitude. His arrogance was exactly what I wanted him to work on to mock his opponents, and that’s what I’ve made of him today… I would not like to be his real opponent…
“Finally back Sensei?” He said to me.
“Don’t be too rough with a man who didn’t completely use his potential, my student” I responded. “Let me show you”
I admit that I was kinda pissed of his attitude, so what I did next was… Kinda rude I admit. I simply pulled my katana out of my scabbard and arrived right in front of him at an incredible speed. My blade was right next to his neck, shining and ready to slash. It took him 2 seconds to realize that it was already over for him. When he realized that my katana was ready to cut his head off, I could definitely see him take a step back and I could see the sweat drops coming from his face, scared of getting killed.
“You are arrogant for sure… But at least, I think you are powerful enough to learn the techniques of our ancestors…” I said.
I then put my sword back to my scabbard and walked away slowly, hands in my pocket.
“I mean, even if you are strong enough, just by looking quickly, you are only at the 3rd level of your swordsman mark, compared to mine at his 15th level.”
I then turned around to look directly at him.
“Even then, you’re still my student and someone really powerful for your age. You just need to remember that and never ever compare your strength to the strength of your sensei.”
When I looked at him, he was angry about losing the fight, but was happy at the same time because of my compliment. I smiled at him and said:
“Anyways! That’s enough for today. Rest well, tomorrow is going to be harder, trust me!”
“YES SENSEI!” He responded, loudly.
We then started laughing and went back to our home, preparing for his hardest day of training so far.
