Jonna planted his buttocks on a chair next to him. "Waiting on Adara?"

"Yeah. She's at Starbucks. She said she'll be here in a minute. She's getting me and her some Joe. She's getting me an Americano."He looked at his pastry.

"Anyways," Jonna said "I'm still fishing for mean girls. They all rejected me."

"Must be a sign." Ashihiro opened his bottle of whole milk he had in his bag. "Maybe you shouldn't look for mean girls..."

"Yeeeeah, I guess you're right." Jonna unwrapped his tamagoyaki-and-mayonnaise sandwich and went to town. "There's that Indian girl who wanted to go out with me, but she needs to eat; she's flat! You're a lucky guy, Ashihiro. You ended up with a busty one..."

"You'll get a woman one day. Where's Ohishi?"

"He's at a checkup at the docs."

Three blonde girls showed up. Meet Lara, Lillian, and Linda Länzinger, the school's mean girls. Lillian set a girl's hair on fire, whereas Lara put laxitive in a girl's sandwich. Their father owns a few businesses in Austria, their hometown.

Lillian knocked Jonna's sandwich out of his hand. 

Lillian took a nerdy guy's croissant and ate it.

"Ah, come on!"

Ashihiro stood up. "You shouldn't knock people's food outta their hands!"

Lara pushed Ashihiro. Adara saw the whole thing. "Ashihiro!" she gasped, running towards the kerfuffle betwixt them.

"What the fuck is your problem?!" Adara growled at Lara. "You'd do wise not to mess with my man. Otherwise, I'll put your skinny ass through a window!"

"We'll jump you!",Lara replied. 

"That's all you can do. Jump people!" Adara said. "You can't fight one-on-one. Bitches." She handed Ashihiro his Americano. 

"Thanks, Adara. Here's your croissant." 

The blonde sisters walked away. "You win this round!" Lillian gave Adara a parting shot. "But we will get you one day!"

"I'm not afraid of them." She bit into her croissant. "Flaky."

Ashihiro saw the girls walked away. He turned to his girlfriend. "You know, you have no fight skills. All they gotta do is attack you from behind with some weapons. they'll use anything as a weapon. Girls are vicious."

"I could hit them."

"They could jump you and claw your eyes out or something. They do have long nails." Ashihiro drank some of his Americano, sighing. "They are pussies for wanting to jump you, not gonna lie."

"True." She tore into her chocolate pastry. "So, you're going to the gym today?"

"Yeah. I might wanna bring some Powerade, maybe some fruit. My mom did buy Cuties oranges." He ate the last of his croissant.

'So, my dad wants to meet you on Saturday. '

"I think I'm free on that day."' He drank the last of his long black. "I could probably make it. So far, I don't see anything on my schedule. I'll let you know if anything comes up."

"Okay. My father's protective of me, since all my exes were pricks."

The bell rang for first period. "Welp. Time for first period. Mr. Kuraszawa is pissed about the fact that he's balding. His toupée looks nice though."

Adara shot up. "I need to go to my beauty class, which is second period. Lillian's there. That's the shit part." The two walked of Mr. Kuraszawa's.
