(Orpheus POV)
"M'lady..?"
Goddammit. I had to repeat myself.
Rose chuckled, walking away.
"You may-" she opened the door, gesturing to the car- "take me out. It's been a while since we've eaten out."
I was struck by a bittersweet feeling. How could she possibly reject AND accept my request?
I put up a fake smile, and she bursted in laughter.
"Oh Orpheus, so handsome and yet so ridiculous at times..Come on now, I'm hungry."
I picked the keys to the Porsche Cayenne, walking off to the car's driver side, my belle seating herself beside me. The car was an average to the Elysian beauty beside me.
The ride to the cabaret hotel was a frivolous one, except for the fact that her hand lay intertwined in mine as she continued to play with it, ruffling my hair at times to distract me from the driveway.
"M'lady, I'm not the only one sitting in the car, you know. We'll both have an accident if you keep distracting this heart from the road."
"Oh please, I'll save myself. Besides, you really think you'd let me get a scratch?"
She whispered in my ear, my gaze missing the red light and the car sliding past the traffic signal. She did this on purpose, she didn't like me trying to follow road rules, as always.
"M'lady, we just missed the signal."
"I know, wasn't that sly of me~"
"Hey, that's my dialogue. And no more troubling, got it?"
"Or what? Are you going against your landlady?"
"M'lady-"
She kissed my cheek, letting them redden as much as the signal we missed.
"No road rules?"
"N-no road r-rules. For t-tonight."
I managed to stutter, my cheeks crimson.
Dear readers, as much as I love my lady Rose, I'd like to mention that instances of rejections do not happen a thousand times. If someone truly does refuse to the topic or straight up says they do not like you, do not be an idiot and keep up with them. It may lead to them getting annoyed and/or amused and they might even consider taking advantage of your vulnerabilities or mock them. True love is only where one's love is returned with the congruent, not just similar passion. Focusing only on one's looks does not represent a healthy relationship and you need to confront it and make a difference. The same is for words, for acts and others. If they only like one aspect of you, it's like, not love. That's all I have to say. Take care of yourself, keep yourself hydrated and at comfort and if not, I may decide to pay you a visit in the midnight hours with required equipments (no, not what you're thinking, dirty mind, I only love M'lady) (P.
