Through the heavy rain, Akuma is running around trying to find Tanaka, calling her name as loud as he can but nobody's there to answer.

On his way home, he feels as if all the stress and anger suddenly disappeared, his mind and heart both occupied by Tanaka and what just happened. He opens the door to his house and he can notice some steam coming from the kitchen so he goes to check it

Rina: "Akuuu, look at me! Your sister is back better than befo-"

Akuma, unable to express his emotions and incapable of saying a word, hugs Rina from behind. She is surprised by the sudden move from Akuma and feels her entire body tingling, remembering how her little brother used to cry on her shoulders when they were younger

Rina: "A-Aku... What's wrong?"

Akuma: "I... I messed up Rina, I really messed up this time"

Rina: *turns around quickly* "You're drenched in mud! Are you hurt?? Did you get into a fight??"

Akuma: "I-It's not like that! I just..."

Rina: "...Here, how about you take a quick shower and we can talk about it over dinner, okay?"

Akuma: *sniff* "Okay"

Rina continues to make dinner while Akuma is taking a bath, thinking about what he did and starting to absorb all the negative thoughts in his mind, the realization of hurting a person who cared about him fuels his self hatred even more.

This may be the first time Akuma felt guilt to a strong extent and as he's regretting what he has done, the heartache he feels makes him believe that his heart is shattering, trying to hold it together.

Akuma dries up and sits down at the table, ready to talk about it with his older sister, she puts the food down and begins the conversation

Rina: "Alright, my ears are all yours for tonight"

Akuma: "I... Don't know where to start..."

Rina: *sighs* "Okay, then how about you start by telling me where you 'messed up'?"

Akuma: "...Remember Tanaka?"

Rina: "Tanaka? The girl who made that delicious meal yesterday?"

Akuma: "Yeah, that one"

Rina: "What happened between you two?"

Akuma: "Today on the track team, I... I... I yelled at Tanaka."

Rina is surprised that her little brother would do such a thing, she has never expected this sudden shift in his personality

Rina: "Huuh? Why would you yell at her? Did she do something?"

Akuma: "Not really, it's all my fault" *holding back tears* "S-She was trying to cheer me up and I just... Exploded"

Rina: "Cheer you up? Why?"

Akuma: "I was really tired, and hungry, and I fell into mud in the middle of the race, so I wasn't having it. I went to the changing room and was ready to head home until Tanaka grabbed my arm"

Rina: "What happened next?"

Akuma: "She asked me if I was okay and if she can do anything to help, I told her to leave me alone but she refused. I told her that... She wasn't my friend, and *tears up* that she's annoying, a-and arrogant, a-and extreme. And that's not true! Tanaka's my friend, and she really cared about me, and I really hurt her. When I saw her crying, I realized I had gone too far, and I just... I just..."

Rina looks at her younger brother breaking down and crying for the first time since he was 6 or 7, she pulls him in and hugs him as hard as she can, and she can't help but to tear up as well. Feeling like she might have been a burden to him when she was sick, and that she isn't a good sister because she wasn't there for him when he needed her, and that it might be all her fault.

Akuma, feeling the warmth of his sister's hug, continues to cry and hugs Rina back tightly. It's been a really long time since he's received a hug, and thankfully it was from someone he cared about deeply.

Rina: "It's okay bro, you can cry between my arms as much as you want"

Akuma: *sniff* "T-Thank you Rina, I'm good now"

Rina: "Let me wipe those tears off your eyes"

Akuma: "O-Okay"

Rina: "Alright, I think I have some good advice for you"

Akuma: "...I'm all ears."

Rina: "You're changing Akuma... You're starting to talk more, show your emotions, make friends, and with good things you'll always make some mistakes. It's okay to mess up, it's okay to do bad things, but that doesn't mean you're a bad person."

Akuma: "...So, what do I do now?"

Rina: "You should try talking with her, you need to apologize and show her that you're really sorry"

Akuma: "What if she doesn't want to talk to me? What if she starts avoiding me?"

Rina: "Then you find a middleman, someone who can connect the two of you"

Akuma: "I see..." (I only know one person for that, but...) "I think I got it"

Rina: *smiles* "Of course you do"

Akuma: "Thank you Rina, I'm feeling better now"

Rina: *messes with Akuma's hair* "You don't have to say it, you little tsundere!"

Akuma: "Heeey, I just did my hair!"

Rina and Akuma both finish their meals, wash the dishes, and go to bed a bit earlier than usual due to tiredness.

Rina: "Akuuu, c'mon wake uuup"

Akuma: "Ughhh what time is it?"

Rina: "It's 7:20"

Akuma: "Crap! I'm gonna be late!"

Rina: "Heeey calm down, also wait for me to leave before changing"

Akuma: "Sorry, no time for getting embarrassed now"

Rina: "Alright, I packed you lunch, it's in your backpack"

Akuma grabs his backpack and sprints to school. And while running, he thinks about a way to approach Tanaka

Akuma: (I really need to talk to Fumiko, I'm gonna apologize to her and hopefully get things right today. Yeah, go to class, and try talking with he-)

Akuma arrives to class and notices that Tanaka is absent

Akuma: (Nevermind, all of that thinking was for nothing)

Another school day passes by, but this time, it's extremely boring. He spends the entire time thinking of what Rina said about a middleman, and he finally decides on what he's going to do.

Akito: "Hey, Akuma... What's wrong? Something happened?"

Akuma: "...Kinda, I'm fine though"

Akito: "...Stop lying to yourself"

Akuma: "What do you mean??"

Akito: "You always say it's okay, that you're okay, when in reality you aren't, you don't even look fine"

Akuma: "...You're right"

Akito: "I'm sorry if I'm not being 'myself' but it's tiring to look at, I just hope that one day I can be of help"

Akuma: "Thank you Akito, but don't worry about me"

Akito: "If you say so... I might be absent for a while but I'm sure you got it"

Akuma: "Absent? Why?"

Akito: "I'm visiting my grandpa, he's in the hospital"

Akuma: "Oh. I'm sorry for-"

Akito: "It's okay, we're not that close"

Akuma: "Alright, good bye for now" (So that's why he's more serious today)

Before Nishida leaves the class, Akuma approaches her quickly, but is suddenly interrupted by Abe.

Abe: "Hey, Hayashi"

Akuma: "???"

Abe: "I just wanted to apologize for pushing you in the race, I didn't think it would cause that much harm"

Akuma: "Don't you think it's too late for that?"

Abe: "...I'm sorry, I just couldn't bring myself to tell you earlier"

Akuma: "Well I don't-" *sigh* "...It's okay, don't worry about it"

Abe: "...Thank you, I hope I can make up to you one day. If you ever need something, don't hesitate to talk to me, good bye"

Akuma: "..." (I didn't want to accept her apology, at least I got something out of it, now where's Nishida?)

Nishida was still sitting in her desk, it seems like she is looking for something

Nishida: (Where the hell is my hair clip? Oh, nevermind, it was in my pocke-)

Akuma: "H-Hey Nishida"

Nishida: "What do you want?"

Akuma: "Listen, can we talk?"

Nishida: "Hm? And what is there to talk about?"

Akuma: "...I-It's about Tanak-"

Nishida: *slams desk* "What. Did you do?"

Akuma can see her eyes and fists igniting with fire, as she's ready to absolutely decimate him at any moment, he is obviously startled by that

Akuma: "P-Please, let me talk first!"

Nishida: "I don't think I need to hear you out" *sighs* "But fine, go ahead, don't expect me to be understanding however" (Just for Fumiko's sake)

Akuma: "Tanaka's my friend, I would never intentionally hurt her, but I really messed up this time"

Nishida: "So thaaat's why she keeps ignoring my texts, continue." *crosses her arms and legs*

Akuma: "When we were in the track field, I-I said something I didn't mean and she ran away, I tried looking for her b-but I couldn't find her"

Nishida: "...Okay, but why are you telling me this?"

Akuma: "It's because, I want you to help me-"

Nishida: "Seriously?! You hurt my best friend and you expect me to want to help you?!"

Akuma: "I-"

Nishida: "Nah, nah, why would I help you? From my perspective I'd rather that Fumiko never talks to you again"

Akuma: "I'm-"

Nishida: "I knew it would happen, but not to the extent of her ignoring me because of it, you really messed up this time, if I was Fumiko I would-"

Nishida takes a better look at Akuma as he's starting to tear up, obviously trying to hold it in. This scene lets Nishida get overwhelmed by guilt and realizes that she's doing the same thing he did to Tanaka, she calms down and starts talking rationally

Nishida: *sighs* "Fine, I'll help you with your stupid little apology"

Akuma: "Really??"

Nishida: "Don't think this is for your sake, I'm doing this because of Fumiko"

Akuma: "O-Of course, thank you so much Nishi-"

Nishida: "Howeverrrr, before I can help you out, you have to help me out first"

Akuma: "What is it?"

Nishida: *whispers in Akuma's ear*

Akuma: *startled* "W-Whaaat??? You can't be serious!"

Nishida: "I don't think you have any other choice other than accepting"

Akuma: *looks down* "You're right, I'm in"

Nishida: *smirks* "Alright, give me your number, I'll call you early tomorrow"

Akuma and Nishida exchange phone numbers and go their seperate ways back home.

When Akuma gets home, he sees a note on the kitchen table attached to a plate of food that says 'Sorry! I have some errands to run, hope it goes well with Tanaka ;)'

He wonders what his sister's up to while he eats his dinner, he takes a shower and heads straight to bed to be ready for tomorrow's call...
