Chester had something long and thin, bandaged up in dirty-white colored bandages, and enforced with red tape in the middle, covering up something which was around two meters long
“What are you carrying?”
“That I can’t tell you. But if I do… I would have to—”
“Take care of me?”
Starter gulped, with his eyes widening
Chester laughed at Starter’s comical reaction.
Pointing behind, while turning his sight the same way, Chester started explaining the background of the mysterious bandaged thing.
“This… I really don’t know, but it must be special, because my father has it from his father, and my grandpa from his father, and so on… it could be hundreds of years old, who knows”
“Hundreds?!”
Exclaimed Starter, amazed, holding his head with both of his hands in pure shock and we.
“Maybe even THOUSANDS!”
They both stopped for a moment and looked at each other, both in shock.
“Man, that is really confusing, and we don’t even know what’s there”
Continued Starter, slapping the air out of annoyment.
They continued walking all on the same path as Starter followed before, the same light-blue path that spawned like a neon light with low opacity, leading them to the quests place, but Chester had another idea.
“Have you been to “Ghilla” before?”
“Ghilla, like the Ghilla, that Ghilla?”
“Yes, exactly, that!”
Continued Chester, excited
“No, I’ve never heard it before”
Chester slapped himself firmly, while sighting
“You’re really Progression 41 and you’ve never even been to Ghilla before?”
“Is it bad if I didn’t?”
Chester stuck his reaction and looked at Starter with a judging face
“How did you even succeed to live on your own”
“Well… you know… heh”
Chester took the notebook, which was stuck to his back, with long and thick sticking material that could be easily taken off and put on.
He manually switched the pages, all the way to the other half of the notebook, stopping himself on a page that had four metal pins, thick as small tomatoes.
Taking the pins from inside the cut pages of the book, which was situated in the middle, Chester stuck two in the ground, two meters away one from the other, and two in the air, parallel with the other two, in the same exact position, two meters high, in the air.
Suddenly, the thin air, which was cornered by the pins, has slowly transformed into a wooden structure, slowly being created, revealing a wooden door, seconds after.
“The way to Ghilla”
Said Chester, showing the closed door, with both of his hands, almost like he was feeling proud of what he could do, and Starter couldn’t.
With no more words waiting for Starter to say, Chester opened the door like a good gentleman, and told Starter to do the honors.
He took a few steps, and now he was a few centimeters away from the inside of the opened door, which was only a moving liquid, with a mix of colors between gray and black.
“And are you really sure that nothing will happen to me here?”
“What could happen, it’s a safe way to enter the Ghilla”
“Yes, yes, yes, but, what if–”
With no more moments waited, Chester intentionally pushed Starter inside the door, but not before sighting. After him, Chester followed, giving out a slight smirk right before closing the door behind him, with his body slowly being eaten by the liquid.
On the other side, there was a lot of noise and loud talkings between people with very deep and thin voices. Starter didn’t know where they were coming from, but he saw in front of him a festival of people and fantastical monsters walking near humans, just like they would be friends.
“No way you are amazed by this. You should see what’s about to come”
Starter didn’t reply as always this time, but waited to see what the Ghilla had in itself to be expected.
Walking around, chit-chattering was all around, in different languages unknown to Starter. He’s seen people selling different colored and shaped fruits, other than the ones known by him.
Suddenly, the crowd in front of them, a mix of personalities and stories, looked around them, very curious and happy about something, but Starter didn’t understand why everyone stopped at the same moment to look around them.
“Wait for it”
Said Chester, stopping Starter with the extent of his arm, looking in front of them, over the crowd of people
In a blink of a moment, two adventurers who looked around the same age came into the crowd painting, fighting one with the other using special abilities with bright colors and loud noises.
Most of them backed up, but only Starter stood in place, wandering about the fight of the two adults, both looking like they were enjoying every moment.
“They are the highest Progression adventurers. One of them, the one in purple has Progression 99, and the other one has Progression 95”
“Are they villains or heroes?”
Asked Starter, who couldn’t take his eyes off them, watching the show in front of him, which was going down in claps and acclaims
“Sorry, what?”
“Nothing, nothing, forget I asked”
Starter continued on the road ahead, amazed by how many people and other creatures are in the same place, but also about the fight of the two people, who were ruining nature from inside the Ghilla, as well as the place all around.
Chester turned his head back at Starter, with a gentle smirk, filled with amazement
“Told you. This. This is the main attraction from the Ghilla”
Said Chester, pointing out his answer with a walk in front and extending his arms while turning with his back at the crowd.
“Chester, look! They just destroyed that tower!”
“NO-GROUND BLAST!”
“River River DASH!”
The ground acclaimed even louder and and a lot of them screamed their voice out, enjoying every second of the two adventurers fighting.
“What are they doing? Their own hometown is being destroyed”
Thought Starter, annoyed by the current situation.
Not paying attention, a person from behind bumped his shoulder into Starter, trying to find his way out from the crowd, matching eye contact with him.
“Look the other way, ugly”
Said the boy, giving out an irritated and angered voice.
Right before the boy passed him, Starter grabbed his shoulder with his left hand, just like a crab would grab a person's nose . That's how strong the grab was, clawing the fingers in.
The boy pushed Starter’s hand aside in an annoyed way, and gave him a dark empty look
“Psst, Starter, think it’s getting pretty late, right? Let’s found our way out–”
Whispered Chester, trying to find a way out of the crowd of people, while grabbing Starter’s shoulder, but he didn’t move one bit, his position was still the same.
“I don’t I like your tone, young man”
Said Starter, giving out an upset and slow paced voice
“YOUNG MAN?! WE’RE THE SAME AGE!”
Shouted the boy, making a scene around them, with all the people looking.
Everyone around them has started whispering
“Who are those, I didn’t see them until now”
“Look at that, that’s Chester Foul, the son of the two Grand Blacksmiths who forged the blade that cut the oceans!”
“No way!”
“Uhm… this is getting pretty bad”
Whispered Chester, slowly backing up from the ground that was surrounding them and targeting their eyesight, wanting to intentionally make eye contact, wanting to make them feel embarrassed.
“WHAT IS GOING ON HERE, WHAT IS ALL THIS FUSS, WHAT IN THE WORLD!”
Shouted a person from the deep crowd, with people making him way to get through
It was a person with a mustache, very long and thin, gray cap, a very fancy one, as well as a gray uniform and a badge right where the heart is placed, made out of pure metal, in the shape of a circle with a hole in the middle.
“The hat! Starter, now!”
“One moment, I’ve got something for this young man here”
“LIKE I SAID, WE’RE THE SAME AGE!!”
Yelled out the boy, again
Chester was getting stepped on his nerves and anxious that they would get seen by the man in the uniform, so he picked up Starter by his armpits and casually pulled him up and ran away with him in his hands
“Wait, what just happened? How are you so strong?”
Said Starter, shocked at the moment, not understanding if it was a machinery or a person, walking him in the air.
“I told you, this was getting bad”
He put down Starter after he saw that there was no more signs of him wanting to go back, for now
“What is up with that, I was just talking with that guy”
“One. One hundred percent you would have done something reckless. And two. We don’t have permits to walk through Ghilla, and if they caught us without them, we could go to bookstein prison, FOR LIFE!”
“Bookstein prison?”
“A place where you are put to read books for 24 hours straight”
They both looked at each other, both forming a grunting face, out of disgust and fear.
“(Both) BOOKS!”
