The drive to the base felt like forever... until finally Mick heard someone say "OPEN THE GATES" the car continued on down the road until a garage door sounded. Mick blinked as light flooded into the trunk before he was very roughfly by the arms and dragged towards a door.
"Let- me- go-!" Mick shouted towards them "I'm not the-"
"Shut up." One of the men punched Mick square in the face causing blood to drip from his nose "Your going to wait in this room till the leader is ready for you."
Mick landed on the ground with an "oof" as the men tied his ankle to a pole. The guards left shutting the door. Mick glanced around the room only to see another man sitting in the corner. He also looked like he had been beaten up pretty badly- his face had bandages all over it.
"So- your gonna see the leader then?" the mysterious man glanced at Mick as he spoke
"That's right..."
"What are you in for? I mean- you like one of those rich boys... why did they capture you?"
"Drug dealing business."
"Ah... right. Mafia hates those that run seperate business from the ones they approve..." the man sighed "I take it your the boss?"
"Well I was trying to retire. But they showed up before I could offically hand the business over."
"Heh- that'll do it."
"What are you in for?"
"Had a deal with the leader- betrayed him- so he's keeping me prisoner here."
"Any uh- advice before I meet him?"
"Whatever you do- do not sass him. Do not talk back. You'll end up with a slap to the face." the man shuddered at the thought "He's a terrifying man... absolutly terrifying..."
"Why did you betray him?"
"Well one of the guards accidently shot my brother- despite the boss saying no harm would come to my family. Which I get it- the guard got like punished for it- but I was still angry. I tried to sell him out- but he caught me."
Mick could not believe what he was hearing. And considering the state this guy was in? There was no way he was going to even want to speak to this leader.
"Does he have a name?"
"Nikolai Reeves."
Mick thought for a moment. He had never heard that name before.
"He took over for his father Cornelious Reeves."
Oh... shit.
"THE CORNELIOUS REEVES?!" Mick could not believe what he was hearing "He- he was the most feared- he was- he-"
Mick was panicking. He barley had time to register what he heard because the guards had shown back up at the door. One guard unlocked the ankle cuff and the other grabbed Mick roughly by the arm.
"Let's go. He's ready to see you now."
Mick was to in shock to even try and fight back. Cornelious Reeve's son... he- had a son- the most feared man to ever run the underground- the man that murdered thousands- had a son. And his son- sounded just as terrifying as his father. Mick glanced at the halls as the guards dragged him around- the halls were decorated with skulls. Those fake ones you would find at any art store- it seemed Cornelious son really had a thing for gothic intertior. Mick was pushed inside of some doors and it opened up to be a giant conference room.
There he was. Nikolai Reeves. Dressed from head to toe in a black suit and cape- bangs hanging down by his eyes. His hair jet black. He looked every bit as cold and menacing as Mick could have imagined.
"Sir, we have the man who ran the drug dealing business." the guard on Mick's right spoke up
"Excellent..." Nikolai spoke staring at Mick from behind his hands that were clasped together
The doors slammed shut behind Mick and they were locked... Mick started at the leader trying not to let his fear show...
