Vishal had already arrived at the Vashikaran party. Influential people at the event were buzzing with conversation about him—some praised his confidence, while others questioned his career, speculating it might end before it even began. Whispers circulated about Vashikaran Malhotra’s ruthlessness, with rumors suggesting he had erased his own son's existence, leaving no trace of him. Jokes flew about Vishal, the CEO of MLH Group, possibly disappearing the next day. The laughter that followed these comments was loud and unrestrained.
Vishal was engaged in conversation with Mahi while sipping his drink. Mahi, laughing, said to him, "Vishal, you’ve once again drawn everyone’s attention with your attitude. Look around—everyone’s talking about you, and the girls at the party are eyeing you as if they want to make you theirs right now. At least give them a glance; it would offer them some relief."
Annoyed, Vishal glanced at the girls. The anger in his eyes was evident, and the girls, frightened by his intense stare, flinched. One of them accidentally spilled her drink on her dress, prompting Mahi to burst into laughter.
Vishal scolded, "See what happened because of you—the poor girl ruined her dress."
Mahi, glaring back, retorted, "Oh, so this is all my fault? My best friend’s dress got ruined because of you. She’s had a crush on you for a year, and I only asked you to look at her once."
Vishal replied coldly, "What excuse! I did look at her. I even glanced at the other six girls."
Mahi shot back angrily, "Yeah, sure! I saw how you looked at them. I wanted you to look at her kindly, maybe smile a little, and give her some peace. Do you even know who she is? She’s the CEO of NCT Media. She’s never paid attention to any guy until now, but there’s something about you that’s driving her crazy. I’ve tried to help her move on, but she’s fixated on you. Anyway, don’t create more drama. Treat Grandpa with respect. I’m going to help my friend."
Left alone, Vishal was absorbed in his mobile when Vashikaran Malhotra took the stage and began speaking.
Vashikaran Malhotra: "Welcome, everyone. Today, I have two major announcements. First, I’m appointing Vishal Malhotra as the official president of MLH Group. Second, I want to see my grandson happy. Whoever can make that happen will be awarded 2% of MLH Group’s shares."
Hearing this, Vishal’s anger flared. He was about to say something when Vibha intervened, taking his hand. "Vishal, think before you speak. Grandpa didn’t say anything wrong. He’s simply trying to communicate indirectly."
Vishal calmed down and picked up an expensive wine bottle, draining it in one go. His behavior shocked the guests—he drank like a drunkard in a high-profile event, showing clear disregard for Vashikaran Malhotra or the company's reputation. The crowd began gossiping once more.
Some speculated that Vishal had gone mad with joy. Why was Vashikaran Malhotra giving him control of the entire company? Was it because he was Vibha’s son? His actions didn’t even seem fit for a security guard at MLH Group.
After finishing the bottle, Vishal set it down and began to leave. His demeanor suggested he was unaffected by the wine.
Vashikaran Malhotra wanted to call Vishal back on stage but, seeing him leave, his anger peaked. He shouted, "What do you think you’re doing? Where do you think you’re going? This party is for you."
Vishal replied coolly, "Mr. Malhotra, but why?"
Vashikaran Malhotra, fuming, said, "Why? You’re the new president, so I want you to meet all the Indian and foreign directors here for you."
Vishal responded, "What are you talking about, Mr. Malhotra? We had a deal, which you didn’t honor. Instead, you showed off your power. And as for meeting everyone, there's no need. I already know everyone in the company, big and small."
The second announcement completely shook Vishal. He was about to leave when Vashikaran Malhotra tried to stop him.
Vashikaran Malhotra, after hearing Vishal's words, said, "Vishal, which deal are you referring to? Calm down and respect the company. Meet everyone here!"
Vishal retorted, "Sorry, Mr. Malhotra, but this doesn’t feel like a company-organized party at all. I know your intentions. I don’t care about your respect or your wealth!"
With that, Vishal signaled the guard to bring his car and exited Hotel Sterlite. The guests were astonished by his departure, and Vashikaran Malhotra’s rage was palpable. Raj Singhania, observing the scene, grew more concerned and respected Vishal even more. Once again, people at the party began to talk about Vishal.
Vashikaran’s anger towards Vishal escalated, but he was powerless to confront him due to Vishal's crucial role in managing the company and fulfilling Vashikaran's dreams. Vashikaran Malhotra, who could dismiss his own son for a mistake, found himself helpless before Vishal. Mahi went to her grandfather, trying to divert attention away from Vishal.
Meanwhile, Vishal drove straight to his villa in Juhu, Mumbai. His villa offered a stunning view of the sea on one side and a river flowing from the mountains on the other—a sight that captivated anyone who saw it. Vishal parked his car and entered the villa. Lights illuminated automatically as he moved.
Ascending the stairs to his room on the second floor, Vishal was greeted by a large portrait of a beautiful girl with light blue eyes, black hair, and fair skin. She stood about 5 feet tall and was so breathtaking that anyone would fall in love at first sight.
Seeing the picture, Vishal’s eyes welled up with tears. Wiping them away, he said, "Riya, I know you can’t leave me. We vowed to live and die together. No matter what people say, I refuse to believe you’re no longer in this world. I’ll wait not just for 5 years but for my entire life. I won’t rest until I find you."
Vishal touched the picture, triggering a response, "Welcome, Master." The wall then slid open, revealing a door leading to a large dark room. As the lights turned on, it revealed a massive hall with various gifts and a diamond ring enclosed in a glass box. On the wall, there were many pictures—some crossed out. A picture of Riya was prominently displayed above one with pictures of Vashikaran Malhotra and three other men below. Two of those men had been crossed out, indicating Vishal had killed them 5 years ago—a decision he regretted deeply. It was a mistake he had not repeated, and he hadn’t worn the Patron suit since, a symbol of his misuse of power.
Despite having hacked all CCTV cameras across India to track Riya’s whereabouts, Vishal had found no trace of her. Her parents had also given up hope.
Vishal asked, "Ray, have you found out anything about her yet?"
Ray replied, "I’ve searched everywhere, but there’s nothing about her. Not a single picture or even a resemblance has appeared on the internet for the past 5 years."
Vishal said, "Alright, it seems Mom and Dad have arrived. I need to go to my room." With that, Vishal went straight to his room.
As he entered, his mother appeared suddenly, her eyes filled with anger.
Vishal, attempting to lighten the mood, said, "What happened, Mom? You look adorable even when you’re angry."
Vibha replied sternly, "Today, no amount of fake smiles or sweet talk will save you from me."
