Chapter 6.

So, this gave a free pass to a new member for Captain Foster's fictional baseball team, as it seemed that a new member was joining the team's secondary characters: Brianna Bardot, there was almost nothing about her, the information was very vague, her resume said she was married to Mark Lynn and they had a daughter in common, previously she had no love scandals, but she had had an accident when she was a teenager, perhaps that is why there were no photos of her and a mask, it was surely a torment for her husband to see his wife's burned face.
And while looking at some photos that the Internet had about their public appearances, there was one that caught his attention since he recognized the character immediately: it was the mysterious man with her when he was around 20 years old, maybe 25, they looked very young and you could almost say that they were very close, so taking a photo of them to see the details, he noticed that in the very background of that photo that had been taken at night you could see Patrick's face, which was ironic, because according to his calculations during that period of time, he and his wife should have been in Paradise Islands, but the photo indicated that it had been taken at the borders of Texas, so someone was lying here or Patrick's wife was somewhere else that year…
So, creating a bunch of conspiracy theories about the three characters, he was surprised when his phone rang loudly causing a loud bang that took him out of his own private world bringing him to reality, when he picked it up he saw that they were some calls that he had missed from the laboratories, five days had passed, it was the time needed for them to be able to to give exactly the genetic material that he had provided them…
It was then that he put out that cigarette and grabbed his jacket, put on his boots and went out in the direction of the laboratories… he was in no hurry, so he was going to walk as a good exercise for his physical and mental health… he had to purify his psychotic thoughts a little, so while he walked he saw mothers taking their children to the parks to play and this made him excited, because he remembered his own son before he lost everything.
When he arrived at the first laboratory they told him that it was synthetic hair, it did not belong to any animal but could be from a wig of some girl who was there, however, Foster accepted the results and continued walking to look for the other samples, but to his surprise it seemed that everyone had agreed rdo to tell him the same thing, which indicated that someone was lying: Ariadna Naxos suffered from alopecia and had a wig to hide her baldness or she was a woman who had cancer and had lost her hair…
That was a lot to analyze; and in a way that she had another disability was not the problem because in a year many things can happen... cancer can appear, diabetes too, even tuberculosis could appear in a year and it would be exactly reasonable and in favor of Patrick that he did not declare it in the trial, only there was one detail, the hair color and length was exactly the same as in the trial and it could well be exonerated that the woman did not want to lose her femininity and Patrick was accommodating with her by ordering a wig to be made with her usual hairstyle so that she would not feel bad, only there was one detail that in Whistler there were no synthetic wig factories and even if he had ordered it to be made abroad, it would take at least two weeks or even more to arrive, unless the wig comes to him camouflaged in another woman which left him two viable options: both, Natalie and Brianna, the Bardot sisters, seemed to be more involved in this case than he believed; And that was why Patrick had emerged victorious, perhaps because it was not convenient for them in some way for the truth to come to light. Would Patrick be the real Desecrator?...
Thinking about that possibility Foster didn't rule it out, but the fact that the Bardot sisters were involved gave him that bittersweet feeling, perhaps there was much more at stake than he himself believed, and trying to calm his thoughts he began to review the history of scandals of said family, there weren't many, and the few he found had been denied, so being on the verge of giving up, he seemed to find the light at the end of the tunnel if they wanted, they would have given the wig to Patrick outside the Bardot family and not from their wives, either the mother or the sisters, there were only two people left that he had overlooked: his father and his brother, he ruled out that the old man had a fetish for wearing a wig and heels to travel, but when he saw Caesar Bardot he began to doubt, because he had long hair, there weren't many photos of his public appearances, but the few that there were made him look like a rather peaceful person.
He had experienced all kinds of cuts throughout his life, the photos gave him away and his current cut was a little below his shoulders so the idea that he was the one who had brought Ariadna's wig was not so far-fetched, and it was then that he called one of his old colleagues, another retired colonel and asked him if he could find out if there was any record in the name of Caesar Bardot entering and leaving the country in the last two years, his old friend Barry called him two hours later and told him to leave your house and get in the van that is turning the corner of your residence, you have 10 minutes to get there and if you don't I will be gone and you will be left with the intrigue.
After hanging up, Foster put on his boots, opened the door and ran to the corner carrying the recorder in one of his pockets so that he would not miss any detail of what they were going to tell him.
