"Darling, I think you forgot something," Azazel said suddenly.
Kreo raised an eyebrow in confusion. "Forgotten what?"
"Your surprise," Azazel teased, a playful grin dancing on his lips. "When will it ever be ready?"
Kreo chuckled softly. "It's been ready for a while now. I was planning to surprise you after the babies were born, but I think it's time for you to see it."
Azazel's eyes lit up with excitement as he slowly pushed himself up from the couch. "Let's go then! The babies will be here any day now, and I can't wait any longer."
Kreo gently helped Azazel to his feet, a tender smile spreading across his face. “Alright,”
Kreo slowly guided Azazel up the stairs, his hands gently covering Azazel's eyes as they made their way to one of the guest bedrooms. Anticipation buzzed in the air as they entered the room, Kreo's heart pounding with excitement.
"Ready?" Kreo whispered, his voice filled with anticipation. "3...2...1!" With a gentle flourish, he released his hands from Azazel's eyes.
Azazel blinked in surprise, his breath catching in his throat as he took in the sight before him. The room was transformed into a cozy and colourful nursery, filled with soft pastel hues, plush toys, and adorable baby furniture. Tears of joy welled up in Azazel's eyes as he surveyed the room, overwhelmed by Kreo's thoughtfulness and love.
"Kreo..." Azazel's voice quivered with emotion as he covered his mouth in astonishment. "It's...it's beautiful."
As Azazel gazed around the nursery, his heart swelled with love and gratitude for Kreo's gesture. Every detail, from the soft blankets to the decorations, spoke of Kreo's dedication and care for their growing family.
Overcome with emotion, Azazel turned to Kreo, his eyes shimmering with tears of happiness. Kreo hugged Azazel from behind, holding him close as they stood in the midst of the nursery.
In that moment, surrounded by the warmth and love radiating from the room, they shared a silent understanding of the journey they were about to go on together as parents.
Soon Azazel hired two new teachers, and Azazel found himself with more time to focus on his own well-being and prepare for the arrival of his babies.
As July rolled in, Azazel couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. Despite the occasional discomfort and fatigue that came with pregnancy, Azazel found joy in feeling the babies kick and squirm inside him.
He would often sit with Kreo, their hands resting on Azazel's growing belly as they felt the gentle movements of their unborn children.
With each passing day, Azazel's love for Kreo and their growing family only deepened. Yet, he knew he couldn't stay for much longer with Kreo.
As the day of the scheduled C-section arrived, Azazel felt a mix of nervousness and excitement coursing through him. He and Kreo had spent the previous night going over their hospital bag, ensuring they had everything they needed for the big day.
With Kreo by his side, Azazel entered the hospital, his heart pounding with anticipation. They were greeted by the familiar faces of the medical staff, who offered reassuring smiles as they guided Azazel to the pre-operation area.
They gave Azazel anaesthesia while Kreo could only wait outside. After a while, the medical team announced that the C-section had been successful as Azazel was still asleep.
Kreo waited nervously before the nurse brought out the babies.
“Mr James,” a nurse called out.
Kreo stood up immediately, worried about Azazel.
“We never had a patient like Azazel, but it was successful.” The nurse said. “Your babies are in the NICU, you may go meet them.”
With a grateful nod, he followed her to the NICU, his heart racing.
Entering the NICU, Kreo's eyes immediately saw Azazel. He found him lying on a hospital bed, sleeping. Moving to his side, Kreo took Azazel's hand in his, offering silent reassurance.
The nurse approached Kreo, gently guiding him to where his newborns lay. Kreo's heart swelled with emotion as he laid eyes on their precious babies for the first time.
They were tiny and fragile, but perfect in every way. Kreo reached out to touch their tiny hands.
"They're beautiful," Kreo whispered with amazement.
“@*@*£/…” a voice called.
“Azazel…?”
Azazel opened his eyes as he sat up on bed, but there was nothing around him, only an infinite room of plain white walls.
A young girl of his age approached before putting her hand on his head.
“No…” he mumbled.
She was his older sister, still 19 like she was two years ago. Never aged.
“Come on!” She pulled him up. “We were all waiting for you!”
The emotions overwhelmed him as he stood there, face to face with his parents once again. Tears flowed freely as he embraced them tightly, unable to find the words to express the flood of feelings coursing through him.
His mother's touch was warm and familiar, her hands gentle against his cheeks as she looked at him with tear-filled eyes. His father's presence was a comforting anchor, his strong arms wrapping around Azazel in a protective embrace.
For a moment, they simply stood there, lost in the moment of reunion. The years apart melted away as they basked in the warmth of each other's love.
Eventually, Azazel's mother pulled away slightly, her hands still resting on his face as she looked at him with a mixture of joy and disbelief. "Azazel," she whispered, her voice choking with emotion. "You're here."
Azazel nodded, unable to find the words to respond. His heart felt full to bursting, overwhelmed by the love and happiness that surrounded him in this moment.
Azazel's father stepped forward, his eyes shining with unshed tears as he wrapped his arms around both Azazel and his mother, pulling them into a tight family hug.
“My son…” his dad hugged him as he whispered.
Confusion clouded his mind as he struggled to comprehend his mother's sudden change in behaviour. Her frantic words echoed in his ears, sending a chill down my spine.
"What do you mean, Mum?" Azazel stammered, scrambling to my feet as he tried to make sense of the situation. "What's happening? Why are you pushing me away?"
But his mother's eyes held a haunted look, her expression a mixture of fear and urgency. "There's no time to explain," she insisted, her voice trembling with emotion. "You have to go back, Azazel. You have to go back now.”
Their once familiar face turned all red, the living room walls that were once white were now covered with blood.
