'Nice to meet you Parker. My name is Eddie Nial, that is Clyde Calloway, and the doctor is Carlos Boyd.' He introduced himself and them. Although I already knew their first names from hearing it before but it was nice from him. The three of them gave me a warm smile I returned weakly, but just as warmly
'How old are you?' Clyde asked
'Fourteen' I answered
'What?!' Eddie gasped. 'Sorry, but I thought you weren't older than twelve'
'He's probably really, badly malnourished' Clyde mumbled, still shocked by my revelation
'Okay' the doctor clapped his hands, startling me. 'Sorry. Guys, we really need to get done with the checkup, see if everything's fine' he finally said
'Hopefully' Eddie smiled at me sadly, carting his fingers through my hair and ruffling it. Clyde replied with a 'Yeah'
After at least half an hour where I tried my best to cooperate but was still stubbornly curled into Eddie, the doctor finished with his checkups
I thought we were finished but then he rammaged through his bag a bit before finally finding what he wanted
He was acting a bit suspicious. Not just he actually, the three of them were. Luckily for them, I was feeling a bit tired, my eyes were droopy and I felt myself being positoned with my head resting against Eddie's left shoulder. His right hand kept my head where it was and his left arm was circled around my waist, holding me down. Clyde held my legs a little tighter than before
I moved a bit, whining. I started to get nervous but he shushed me, combing his fingers through my hair again. 'You're okay' he whispered again and again
I felt something thin and sharp pierce my skin somewhere. In my hazy state, I couldn't tell exactly where it was. I let out a weak whine of protest, trying to move. But both men tightened their hold on me. Luckily It ended just as fast as it started but there was an uncomfortable sensation where the doctor, I guess, stung me with the needle
Eddie rubbed the place, easing that annoying sting until it faded away. 'What exactly was that?' He asked. Yeah, I wanted to know as well
'It's a sedative, a very low concentrated amount of it though. Just enough to calm him down' he explained
Parker is a boy. Just a teenage boy.
But despite being 'just a teenage boy',
he experienced some things in life that
most teenage boys don't. After being kind of
kicked out of his house, he stumbled upon a
restaurant. Staying in the dark alley through
the night might've been scary, but it was the
best decision of his life that lead him to people
who made him feel belong.
