Chapter 16.

I'm not hungry.

Megan hugged Sergei very affectionately and even cursed herself internally for having doubted the man's fidelity. ¿How could she doubt someone who was doing so much for her?, It was simply pathetic. When she offered him the couple of filled pastries for breakfast, he told her that he was not hungry, that he could not eat them, because before entering the office he had gone to that very place and had eaten the same freshly baked pastries with pork belly inside.

She did not say anything, but on the contrary said goodbye to him and told him that she would wait for him at home later.

 He said goodbye to her, but did not let her kiss him on the lips, but immediately sat down in front of the monitor and began to see a graph of the last month, letting her realize that the man was really very busy.

As she left the office, she found her stepdaughter at the secretary's desk, feeding Galilea like a little child. 

That interaction seemed disgusting to her. ¿How could a couple of women fall in love and act that way in public?, It was so disgusting and repulsive that she couldn't wait for the separation between them to finally happen.

On the other hand, Galilea was so bruised in the abdomen that she had formed intense bruises... everything had been so sudden that she hadn't had time to react and she had been a little scared when Sergei had called her to his office, where with a completely cold look, the man had asked her to keep secret and in complete silence what her daughter would tell her.

He had offered her 100,000 in cash in an envelope so that she would keep Stephy's secrets buried; and although she really didn't intend to comment on what the girl told her, that amount of money could not be denied to anyone and she had accepted it, telling him not to worry, that no one would find out about it and right after having said that sentence, the woman had entered the office like a crazy woman, that she had taken her as a lover, it was so humiliating that she believed that she would not be able to look into the eyes of the employees in the future because of the embarrassing moment.

Stephy had given the breakfast that she had bought for her father to Galilea as a way of rewarding her for that humiliation.

She knew it wasn't much, but it was what she had on hand and something in her heart told her to help the secretary eat, so she had no problem feeding her, because the woman was really worth it as a friend and she had been attacked because of her by a savage... 

So when she finished leaving Galilea alone, she entered the office and closed the door, seeing her father focused on the screen had dissipated all the anger she felt and the desire to complain to him was no longer in her thoughts.
