After they where done eating, everyone went to the living room.
"So, Leah, you can stay in the guest bedroom until we can figure things out." Jacob said. " Well, I guess it's time for everyone to get to bed. We have a long day tomorrow. Kai, can you show her to her room, please?"
"I wonder what he meant by that," Leah wondered.
"Okay, see you tomorrow, Leah!" Leo said skipping to his room.
"How much energy does that guy have?!" Joshua said sighing while getting up then heading to his room also.
When everyone except for Leah and Kai was in their rooms, Kai started to walk towards her. She flinched, making Kai stop walking. He then crouched beside her.
"How did you end up getting shot in the leg?" Kai said.
His voice was soft and kind, but serious and concerned.
Leah didn't say anything.
"You can talk to me, I won't say anything if that makes you feel better. Did you run away? Is that why you have scars on your back?"
"How did you know I had scars on my back?" Leah said worriedly.
"When you fainted, I caught you, and when I did, I felt the scars. I assumed you where abused, so you ran off. But that still doesn't answer why you have a gun shot wound on your leg."
"Well, I guess you would have figured it out later anyway," Leah mumbled.
She told Kai everything, from her life in the forest, when she got shot in the back, to her intense training she had to go through, and how she got shot in the leg.
Kai was listening the whole time and didn't interrupt her at all.
"That's it," Leah said while looking down. "You can throw me out, I don't care."
After a few seconds, Kai answered.
"No, I'm not going to make you leave, I'm just, thinking."
Kai then looked at the time.
" I'll go ahead and take you to your room-"
"You mean the guest room?" Leah said.
"The guest bedroom is now your room. We can make a new guest room."
Kai smiled when he saw Leah's eyes light up when he said that.
He then took Leah to her new room.
"If you need anything, my room is just across yours." Kai said while pointing to his room.
"I thought you didn't say much," Leah asked Kai.
She then clasped her mouth.
"Why did I say that?" She thought to herself.
"Well, you seem like you needed someone to talk to." Kai said smiling. " Goodnight."
