THE SUN - War Of Gods Begins

Twins Of Disaster -3

Twins Of Disaster -3

Sep 28, 2024

Inscribed on it were words that transcended language—an origin of all tongues—accompanied by names of sequences and potion formulas. Ichor’s finger stopped at one specific name.

Daimen’s eyes widened slightly. "The Void. So, another authority scumbags to it."

"It won’t be the last," Ichor stated matter-of-factly, his voice calm as ever.

Daimen sighed, his monocle catching the light. "It’s to be expected. As time passes, the the veil of obscurity is thinning, the rift will only get larger with time. It wouldn’t surprise me if one of the Nephilspawn pass through as well."

He paused, his gaze sharpening once more. "But how did this affect the divine eyes of sage?" His question was laced with curiosity, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he waited for Ichor's response.

"Omniscient isn't my domain, Daimen," Ichor replied, his voice unwavering, unbothered by Daimen's attempts to test him. "Even the gods cannot fully comprehend the Void's influence, let alone me."

Daimen chuckled softly, his voice tinged with amusement. "You often give the impression that you know everything, much like our father." The mention of their father brought a somber air between the two brothers, a weight that lingered in the space between them.

"Father always said he created me in his image, gifted me with a portion of his power," Ichor mused. "So it’s only natural you’d get that impression."

Ichor’s gaze never left Daimen as he continued, unfazed by the tension. "But based on the account Aleric gave me, I have a guess as to what transpired."

Daimen raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "I’m all ears."

The silence around them deepened, and Ichor’s calm voice was the only sound that broke it.

"After I shared the knowledge regarding the authority that exists beyond the gods, Aleric managed to devise a plan..." Ichor’s voice carried weight as he explained the intricacies of Aleric's grand design.

Daimen listened intently, nodding as the plan unfolded. "Aleric truly lives up to his name," Daimen finally said, a sigh escaping his lips. "It’s an extraordinary plan, one filled with brilliance." His eyes gleamed with thought, as if the idea itself set his mind spinning in countless directions.

"But," Ichor continued, his voice steady, "it slipped from Aleric’s control. Likely due to the interference of the void, he was merelyan archangel and couldn't contain it in time."

Ichor’s tone softened as he spoke again. "The result of lost artificial god of knowlege, devastated the Seekers of origin, the organization of demigods of knowledge domain; there's little left of it now."

"It’s tearing at the veil of obscurity as we speak."

"It would have succeeded, no doubt," Ichor’s warm tone darkened. "But not anymore."

Daimen, intrigued, raised a brow. "Are you certain?" He hadn't expected Ichor to hold such faith in Aurelion. "I didn’t think you had such belief in him."

"The power of the void that has reached into reality is weak, a mere fragment of what it truly is. If it were stronger, it could have done much worse." Ichor explained with serene confidence. "With help, Aurelion can handle it."

Daimen's smile widened, his amusement growing. "So, you didn’t save Aleric from Aurelion on purpose?" he asked, piecing the logic together. "And more importantly, how did Aurelion even become aware of this?"

"Aleric is not in real danger," Ichor answered calmly, shaking his head. "Besides, a true entity ascending to become the god of knowlege is far preferable to a puppet born of the voids whims. Things are only going to get harder from here on."

He paused, then added, "And there’s the matter with Thiara."

Daimen chuckled softly, as though something highly amusing crossed his mind. "The gods caring for their angels—how quaint. It’s fascinating that unlike Verena and Castiel, Aurelion hasn't become paranoid of his own kind."

Ichor’s eyes softened, his voice adopting a gentle quality. "Everyone is different, Daimen."

A knowing smile spread across Daimen’s face. "So, you’re just going to allow the authority of knowlege to fall into Aurelion’s hands?" His tone was light, almost playful. "Considering its non resonant authorities to hik, and he can't dominate it for himself, I wouldn’t be surprised if Aurelion grants it to his angel."

"God of knowlege must be born," Ichor replied, his expression inscrutable. "One way or another."

"Godess, it is then." Daimen mused, his eyes twinkling with interest. "Well, well, it seems the future won’t be as dull as I feared." Seeing that Ichor had once again sidestepped his questions, Daimen didn’t press any further. He had gotten what he came for.

With a smile that hinted at mischief, Daimen straightened. "Well, my zealous brother, I shall take my leave." A starlight door shimmered into existence behind him. "I can’t stand your holier-than-thou act any longer."

Without waiting for Ichor’s response, Daimen stepped through the portal, disappearing as the starlight door faded.

Ichor stood unmoved, his gaze serene. Slowly, he reached for another of the skull, tracing its rough surface with his fingers.

But then, suddenly, his fingers came to hold, His gray eyes brightened, glowing with a same silver light as he turned his gaze toward the distant empire of Azazeil.

That was the reason he was praying, to see the glimps of the future. "The empire shall fall..." the Archangel of fate prophecies, his deep voice echoed through the quite and cold surroundings.

On otherside, the golden sun pierced through the clouds, casting a radiant glow over the two figures standing atop the vast sand dune.

Before them stood a mighty range of stony mountains, their jagged peaks cutting through the sky. Between two towering summits, a pathway stretched forward, leading to a distant land bathed in sunlight.

"Your Excellency, this is Seekers of origin main base," Aleric gestured towards the path, where an array of statues and buildings marked the horizon.

"I know." Aurelion replied, his gaze never meeting Aleric’s, his eyes instead darting between his pocket watch and the surroundings. His demeanor exuded a patient vigilance, as if he were awaiting an arrival.

Aleric sighed inwardly. It had become clear that the Sun God, as usual, had dismissed him. Trapped under the gaze of a deity, he had long since resigned to his fate. Escape was an impossible dream; all that remained was the faint hope that his life might be spared—a luxury under the current circumstances.

But then something caught Aleric’s attention. His eyes widened as the once-barren desert began to transform before him. Small green sprouts broke through the dry, cracked sand. And it didn’t stop there.

More and more plants began to emerge, covering the dunes as far as the eye could see. The desolate sands turned into lush, verdant prairies, vibrant flowers blooming in radiant colors. In an instant, life had exploded across the landscape, and creatures—large animals and delicate butterflies alike—appeared from nowhere, roaming the endless green as though they had always belonged.

Aleric marveled at the life force swirling around him. Some of these new creatures possessed vitality that rivaled demigods!

Yet, Aurelion stood calmly amidst the flourishing growth, unmoved, as if he had expected this very moment.

Suddenly, a divine presence graced the transformed land. A woman appeared, ethereal and majestic, clad in a long light green gown adorned with embroidered images of herbs, animals, and the secrets of life itself. Her light brown hair cascaded down to her hips. Her soft features—high nose, plump red lips—shone with divine beauty, but it was her eyes, glowing a dark brown, that fixed upon Aurelion with tranquil calm.

With her appearance, the land mutated even further. Towering trees shot up from the ground, growing tens of meters high. The plants swelled to human size, becoming part of an ever-expanding forest. Her aura exuded a sense of maternal care, as though she were the mother of all life, the origin of every living thing.

"Increased himanity has its cons too!" Aurelion thought as To him, her beauty was unmatched. He stood, entranced by her presence, his golden eyes reflecting the admiration and awe he felt. No matter how many times he saw her, she always surprised him. Her very existence redefined the meaning of beauty, transcending mere words.

This was Goddess of Mother Earth, Giaria herself.

Aleric dared not look directly at her for too long, unlike the Sun God beside him. To offend a god in any way was unthinkable. He was also shocked at her appearance, finally confirming his suspicions—Aurelion had indeed summoned her to assist with the situation.

'The realm of the gods…' Aleric thought as he gazed at the primeval forest that had sprouted from Giaria’s mere descent. The sheer power in the air was overwhelming. He couldn't fathom the force Giaria would wield if she chose to fully assert her authority.

"It’s been while, Aurelion," Giaria's voice was gentle, yet it carried the weight of ages. "You've changed much since we last met." Her gaze, calm and timeless, locked onto his vibrant golden eyes.

"Time brings change to all of us, Giaria." Aurelion responded with a smile playing on his lips. "In this world, nothing is static. Nothing is... eternal."

Indeed, Aurelion had called upon Giaria for assistance. Among the gods, he found his closest allies leaning towards the Earth Mother and the God of War. But today, it was Giaria he had chosen. Her Authority over life and fertility didn't resonet with the current ambitions of the other gods, making her neutrality and independence crucial to his cause.

The God of war, embroiled in a conflict with Athena, would not have been able to assist. But Giaria, free of such entanglements, was a likely ally in this time of need.

Aleric watched in quiet amazement, his heart thudding in his chest as the gods conversed. He was witnessing a meeting of forces far beyond his comprehension—a union of divine power that had the potential to reshape reality itself.
