*Back to Cassandra's pov*
Glad that we caught Audrey, Olivia and I walk towards the Owl tent. William and Mary-Phoebe are eying Olivia, as if they weren't trusting her completely. I understand. She did betray me, but it now seems obvious that I count to her.
- So, Olivia, how did you know, for all that mess? I question her, my smile reaching my eyes.
- Meh, I don't know, I was worried about you, plus I heard noices, so...
I snicker at her comment, seeing lots of implied ideas. We enter the tent, followed by Mary-Phoebe and William, as Audrey is behind, her shoulders slumped down. She may look shameful or embarassed, she has an idea. Angry that her plan didn't work. Obviously, she wanted me to embarass myself in front of all of these people. Visibly, it fell to her.
- Alright, Owls, it's time for the canoe activity! Change into your bathing suits...Orders Eva with a nonchalant voice.
I accept, glad to see I can think about something else. Hiding under the covers, I change myself into my black two-piece swimsuit, letting my blonde hair fall along my shoulders. Sliding my feet through my sandals, I grip my towel and follow my friends to the canoeing site.
- You guys have to make teams of two, I'll let you choose them. Don't forget to take the right size of safety jacket; I don't want to find your dead bodies at that depth... Eva mentions, adjusting her own
I shiver at the idea- and of our instructor's humor- and step to the safety jacket's place with Mary-Phoebe, Olivia and William going together.
- What side are you taking? Mary-Phoebe asks me, letting her finger run along the average-height safety jackets.
- It's fine, I'll gladly take care of that. I stop her, taking one as well.
Both of us attach our vests as we follow the group to the canoes. I sit in front with my paddle, Mary-Phoebe at the back. I then shift to Olivia and William, giving them a competitive look. During this time, Mary-Phoebe waits for my signal.
- The last ones to the Blueberry Island are wets chickens! I exclaim loudly, as I begin paddling.
The reactions are huge. Some teams hesitate, yet others do the same as Mary-Phoebe and I. Being the first one in all of the group, I hear screams and laughter, but I don't care. Going faster then I can, the icy waves of the lake and the wind are hitting me and making me shiver, forcing me to keep going. Out of breath, my team finally reaches the border of the island, parking it there. Mary-Phoebe stands there and yells:
- We did it! C'mon guys, don't be the last ones!
We keep on encouraging, as we can hear squeals of amusement.
