I am Omega

Chapter 13

Chapter 13

Oct 28, 2024

“So?” Caleb walked into the bedroom, his hands occupied with fastening his favourite bronze bull buckle belt. He was fresh from the shower and ready to hit the dance floor with his lovely Luna. His jeans were pressed, his dark blue shirt was tucked in with the top couple of buttons undone, and his cowboy had matched his brown boots. “How do I look darlin’?”

“Oh my God.” Emma snorted as she turned away from her vanity mirror. She looked Caleb up and down, his thumbs in the loops of his jeans, and she snorted with amusement. “Like Elvis wants his outfit back.”

“Early career Elvis?”

“Sure.”

“Then that’s a compliment, darlin’, and I’ll take it.” Caleb sat on the edge of the bed so he could look into the vanity mirror and grin at Emma’s reflection. She’d had a long day already, and he wished he could talk her into a quiet night in. They hosted the ‘what are we going to do about Jessie’ meeting this morning, and then Emma raced off to join her mother to look at wedding dresses. It was apparently awkward as hell, even with Jake and Vanessa running interference when she came close to snapping at her mother. Through one reason or another, the reconciliation dinner she kept trying to have with Joanna was rescheduled. Usually because Emma had to act as either the Luna, or babysitting her human friend to keep her out of trouble. Today had been difficult, to say the least, with all the baggage still weighing Emma down, but she needed to be seen with her mother. Candice’s Dream Dresses was very public, and Joanna’s friends were present too, so there would be no corning of his highly strung Luna.

She told Caleb over the phone when on her way to Lidia’s appointment, Jake in tow, that she survived it because she avoided talking to her mother about anything other than the wedding. Jo’s, or hers. At the first sign of Jo getting weepy or trying to venture into dangerous territory, Vanessa swept in and fussed over the older bride to be. Jake made sure Emma remembered that she couldn’t just drink her way through this ordeal, as she had midwife duties to resume after this farce was over.

Emma never broke patient confidentiality, but Lidia herself called Caleb after her meeting to say that so far, things were looking good for her babies to be delivered next week. It was openly discussed that the boy would likely end up in one of the incubators, but the girl might too, as she was starting to present with less movement too. Not just because things were getting cramped in there, but genuine reduced movements. His poor sister practically lived with a doppler attached to her these days, and her husband wasn’t working so he could be right there for her, just in case…

Yes, Emma’s day had been busy, and then Jessie called her bestie to announce that she had to put on something sexy and get her ass to the dance hall. At the time, Caleb had asked her to turn her friend down, but Emma explained that Jessie would go on her own if she didn’t tag along. Since the Alpha couldn’t pamper his hard working Luna with foot rubs and dote on her, instead he would do the next best thing, and go with Emma. “As much as I wish you didn’t have to go out again tonight, darlin’, I’m looking forward to this.”

“To what?”

“To finally introduce you to the great American pastime, and art-form, of line dancing.” He grinned and Emma rolled her hazel eyes at him. “The dance hall will be lively tonight, and you’re off the clock tomorrow, right?”

“As much as you and I are ever off the clock.” Emma finished drying her choppy hair, overdue a trim from her once short pixie cut hair. Vanessa keeps nagging me to get my ass into one of her salons. I may need to take her up on that offer soon.

“True.” Caleb nodded, but his grin didn’t fall an inch. “Still?” The cheeky lift in his voice drew Emma’s gaze. He openly appreciated the denim shorts she was wearing, and the white vest top made her already fantastic tits look even plumper. Her hands tucked in her vest even as Caleb rocked onto his feet and swaggered over to his sexy mate. “I have never seen you in shorts before, and my poor heart, do you look fine, darlin’.” He gave Emma a pre-lude to his fancy footwork and slid up behind her with his hands on either side of his belt buckle. “MM mm mm.” He hummed with approval, and then dared to help himself to her left ass cheek. His hand gave her a squeeze and he groaned at the feel of her. “Em, you are going to do wicked things to me tonight.”

“Am I?” She sniggered and playfully swayed her hips from side to side, sliding his hand from her butt. Caleb returned his hands to his belt and leaned back on one heel to watch her slowly roll her hips. “Do I look like a red-neck wolfy?” She bent over, twerked for him simply to distract him, as her hands reached under her vanity table.

“That is not a move you’ll see when line dancing, darlin’.” He chuckled and held his hands like he wanted to take hold of her hips and pull her onto his cock. He would have, if there wasn’t so much denim in the way. “Not that I don’t appreciate the view.”

“I’m about to make it better.” Emma chuckled, and quickly stepped into red cowboy boots. She stood and turned with a flourish, her hand slowly lowering a red cowboy hat onto her head.

“Oh. Darlin. You’re killing me.” He couldn’t decide if Emma looked adorable like that, or hotter than sin. Can she be both? I think she’s both. Good Lord. “Dancing with you tonight is going to be all sorts of torture. Foreplay, too.” He dipped his hat with one finger, and then pointed at her with it. “Woman, show me mercy tonight on that dance floor, or I’ll show you none when I get you home and beneath me.”

“Oh?” Emma smirked and made a show of trying to shimmy herself towards the bedroom door. “That sounds like a challenge, Mayor Johnson.” She looked over her shoulder, and Caleb was copying her with that big goofy grin on his face she adored. “I’m afraid we’re both doomed, then.” She turned on her heels and crooked her fingers for her mate to follow her. “Because Jessie is addicted to the dance floor, and therefore, I’ll be shaking my ass seven shades of sin with my wing woman.”

“Wrong.” He growled, his icy eyes lighting up as he backed Emma up against the nearest wall.

“Wrong?” His hands fisted at the sides of her belt and he leaned in close enough to heat her mouth with his breath.

“If you’re ‘shaking your ass’, future Mrs Johnson, then I shall be right there with you. If I’m going to be tortured with the sight of you dancing ‘seven shades of sin’, then I intend to tempt you towards sweet salvation.”

“Oh? Salvation huh?” She lifted her arms up and then let them drape over his shoulders, so her wrists could cross over each other. “What exactly do you think you’ll be saving me from?”

“Abstinence.” He smirked, and then tugged ever so teasingly on their sirebond. “I’ll deliver you from orgasm-purgatory by worshipping every delicious inch of you.” He kissed her at last, firmly and with a devilish curl to his lips. She sagged against him and the wall, and her hat fell off. Caleb caught it without even taking his mouth from hers. He placed it back on her head when he released her sexy lips, and he winked at her.

“Okay, that was impressive.” She ignored the blush on her cheeks, or the building ‘interest’ in her panties. “You have a deal, Elvis. Let’s not leave Jessie unattended at the dance hall.”

“She’s hardly unattended.” He laughed and enjoyed the way Emma led him by the hand towards the stairs and the front door. Like she was eager to get the dance hall part of their evening over, so Caleb could deliver all he promised her. “She’s surrounded by our pack.”

“Yeah.” Emma grimaced. “And trust me, they’re at risk of being hunted by her, not the other way around.” Oh Lord, please don’t let Jessie be wearing her pink tassel dress. Not her fuck me dress. Please, please, please.
