"Mortimer, we need to accelerate and escape through the tunnel I just made!" Alex urged, his tiny worm body quivering with urgency. The looming presence of the Tunnel Wrecker was enough to send a wave of panic through him. 

"Right! Let's not stick around for a meet-and-greet!" Mortimer replied, his paws flying over the controls. The vehicle roared to life, humming with newfound energy as it surged forward, heading straight for the narrow opening Alex had created. 

As they barreled toward the tunnel, Alex could feel the vibrations of the Tunnel Wrecker's claws scraping the ground behind them. It was gaining on them! 

"Faster, faster! I didn't sign up to be a worm-shaped speed bump!" he thought, willing the vehicle to move quicker. 

The platform shot through the opening, and as they entered the newly formed tunnel, Alex felt a rush of relief. The walls were still soft and loose, and as they sped through, he could hear the frustrated growls of the creature behind them.
