"Look at the size of that thing," Alex whispered, trying to keep his voice low. "How did it even fit through that tunnel? Did it have to suck in its gut or something? Talk about a tight squeeze!" 

Mortimer stifled a chuckle, but his eyes remained focused on the creature. "It's definitely not on a diet, that's for sure." 

Alex couldn't help but smirk at the absurdity of the situation. "Great, we're hiding from a glorified badger with a serious eating problem. This day just keeps getting better!" 

Mortimer chuckled nervously. "I think it's part of the charm of being underground. Everything is bigger and scarier!" 

The Tunnel Wrecker let out a frustrated growl, clearly agitated by their escape. It began to stomp around the cavern, its claws digging into the ground as it searched for them. Alex's heart raced as he watched, the creature's movements both fascinating and terrifying. 

"Do you think it's going to give up?" Alex asked, glancing at Mortimer, who was equally tense. 

"Not likely," Mortimer replied, biting his lip. "It's probably just getting warmed up. We need to figure out a plan to get out of here."
