Chapter 15.
A superior race.
After that awkward conversation ended, Ritchthofen kept his promise to Anne and took her to some ancient ruins that were outside the city; probably some kind of war had taken place there between their ancestors, but now the place seemed enchanted and forgotten by humanity, which made every wall, every ruin seem frozen in time…
The view was charming, and the company was very pleasant, both of them really didn't have to say anything, because at this point words were unnecessary, the place was magical, which made both of them see themselves as if they were ancient kings of that place where they seemed to go back in time and admire what remained of what was perhaps once their home…
Fantasy practically seeped through everyone's pores, and the moonlight in the air was one of complicity and romance; like a pirate and a mermaid who meet for the first time and seduce each other.
The night was witness to every breath between them, then he interrupted the tranquility between them, took her in his arms, and they danced in the light of the light in the middle of those ruins, with the wind making music between them…
The looks and smiles they gave each other were enviable; and after a while of dancing making even the moon feel jealous, they both melted into a totally passionate kiss full of emotion that ended up making two already completely naked bodies melt into passion in that magical place lost to God and humanity…
And so it was until the daring sun discovered them early in the morning, asleep among the grasses of that place, like a mermaid who has just left the sea for love of a sailor she met on some dock.
Anne was considering the idea of asking him to have a biological child, maybe that way she could feel a little more fulfilled, but she had heard him say before that he couldn't stand children, maybe that was very selfish on his part, or she was the one who was overthinking things too much.
Then she remembered the comments that had been made at that meeting with her brother, where he had asked an interesting question: the fluids of both did not mix before he had a genetic alteration, which indicated that she had more dominant genes than him and that only meant that if it was impossible for her to conceive before, now that they were practically at the same level, it could be different, or simply his DNA would not be strong enough to resist her genetic loads…
That question did not leave her mind, but remembering the girl made her feel melancholic and at the same time frustrated, but she was a woman, and she did not even know if she could conceive, which saddened her heart, even so, she could not let Richthofen's sadness detect her…
