Chapter 19.

Separate paths.

Julieta had just begun to hear how after almost the whole night and part of the morning her now husband and his lover seemed to be leaving their passionate night, she immediately assumed that the man must be tired, so she began to calculate how fast she had to get out of the bathroom and get to the door of the room…

She couldn't let the man catch her, she had to be faster, and it was more than obvious that he had lost energy after practically showing her how virile and resistant he was by keeping her in the hotel bathroom for the whole night and almost the whole morning…

So, opening the door with fear, she sneaked in with a mask and glimpsed that in the bed the silhouette of the sleeping woman was visible, but his was not there, so she closed it quickly and rested her head on the wall.

That man was still awake, ¿what were his genes made of?, ¿Why did he have so much energy?,  ¿Had he consumed some kind of drug that kept him that way?

It was then that she heard him talking on the phone, it seemed like he was talking to Brandon because of the way he told her that his lover had been in very good hands all night, that man was disgusting, ¿how could he just say those things to the public without having a little bit of modesty?

She immediately knew that was the right moment because he was distracted, so she opened the door, grabbed her things from the bathroom floor and ran straight to the bedroom door, opened it, closed it and continued quickly down the stairs, because she knew that if they saw her going down the elevator, some paparazzi would have taken pictures of her in such a bad state.

Then, after 20 minutes she arrived at the lobby and sure enough, near the elevators there were entertainment journalists with cameras… When she saw them she was scared and turned pale thinking that they would recognize her, so she hurriedly headed for the exit trying not to get them to pay attention to her and once she set foot outside the hotel, she began to camouflage herself as she had done many times before among people, but shortly after she received a call from Brandon when she was almost arriving home.

Seeing the caller ID, she didn't know whether to answer, but remembering the state her father was in, she didn't have much of a choice, so she answered calmly...

Brandon first asked her how she was and if she was in the hotel room resting, to which she sighed and said: With all due respect, Mr. Brandon, I'm just arriving home now. 

It was a very intense night for both your son and me, so I'd like to ask you to omit the clause in the marriage contract that indicates that we have to live together...

I really don't have any problem making public appearances with him, but I prefer to avoid meeting him in everyday life... Brandon answered her: But Juliet, that's the science of your marriage, that you have to live together from now on. I'll leave you alone today so you can calm your thoughts, but tomorrow my assistant will pick you up to take you to the house I've prepared for you.
