Aisha: The Secret Of The Diary

Chapter 12 - Change

Chapter 12 - Change

Oct 26, 2024

Helios opened the door to the room that he was placed in, and sat down in a rocking chair in the room and Jack stood in front of him.

"Let me ask you something, Jack." Helios sighed, rubbing his eyes with a pinch at the bridge of his nose.

"Go for it." Jack replied.

"Why do you always degrade what Aisha says at every chance that you get? You two seem to have known each other since you were younger." Helios asked.

"First of all, it's none of your business what I do, and quite frankly, I don't appreciate you being here and encouraging this nonsense!" Jack replied in a harsh tone.

"What do you mean by nonsense?! First of all, I know it is real, Jack. I can feel it, I can hear it, I can sense it, I can see it.
Secondly, whether it be real or not you need to believe her! She needs that support from you and I as no one else will support anything that she says! What she needs is our support and belief, not our degradation!" Helios indignantly replied.

"What she needs is a doctor and psychiatric help!
Anything that I have seen must have a logical explanation behind it besides all of what she is saying!
She is mentally ill! She had developed delirium from the medication she was forced to take in the past! And with you encouraging her and with you encouraging her nonsense, it will only make it worse!" Jack yelled.

"Hahaha... You know, I feel so bad for Aisha. I truly do pity her." Helios faintly laughed while shaking his head.

"She doesn't need your pity!" Jack hissed.

"I feel bad for her because the person who she loves the most in this cold world is hiding behind a mask.
You Jackson Estridsen, are two-faced!
You keep leading this innocent girl on, and instead of nurturing her and trying to share the burden of her problems and difficulties, you degrade her and you put more difficulties onto her by overlooking everything that she says.
Do you have no sense of shame?
Do you have no sense of guilt?" Helios gritted.

Helios stood up from the chair, and took compelling strides towards Jack, until he stood in front of him, just inches away from his face. "Do you not feel bad that you lie to the person that you supposedly love the most in this world, Jack? Do you have no sympathy at all as you brush off or comment negatively on everything that she does or says behind her back, and even when you have the guts to do it to and in front of her face, Jack? What type of a "friend" are you, Jack? What type of a "fiancé" are you, Jack? Better yet, what type of a "man" are you, Jackson?" Helios asked.

"You really want to know what type of a friend that I am, Helios?
I am the type of friend that is going to get her the psychiatric help that she needs.
You want to know what type of a fiancé that I am? I am the type of fiancé that is going to get her the mental help that she needs.
And finally, you want to know what type of a man that I am?
I am the type of man that is not going to let some outsider stand in my way, I am the type of man that is not going to let some outsider get into our affairs and I am definitely the type of man that isn't going to let some outsider stop me!
I made a promise to her mom that I would protect her and be here for here.
And that's exactly what I'm trying to do!" Jack yelled.

"You know, Jack, I am able to look into the past and see things.
I see something, and I see something in you, Jack.
Whenever we were in town and those guys showed up, you acted like the number one person that Aisha despises most in this world.
You act the same way her father does.
And I am going to be honest with you, Jack.
I am afraid for Aisha's future if she marries you.
I am afraid that you're going to be the same type of husband to Aisha that Bill was to his wife, Ashley." Helios sighed as he felt a sense of heartache in his heart.

"What do you mean by that?!" Jack hissed.

"I have seen through the past, Jack.
Do you know what Bill did to his own wife?
He did the same thing that you are doing, but worse.
He degraded her and overlooked her internal cries for help.
Instead of getting her help and supporting her, do you want to know what that monster did?!
Instead of believing and nurturing her or getting her real psychiatric help, he locked her in a room and highly medicated her, Jack!
And do you want to know what's even worse? Your own father, the great doctor James Estridsen, was in on it too!" Helios cried.

"How does that even relate to me?" Jack asked.

"You're being possessive of her, you're treating her like she's an object, you don't take her feelings into consideration, you brush off everything that she says and you treat her like she's crazy.
Even if she is crazy, you have to believe in her, but you're not.
That is only going to hurt her more." Helios sighed.

"And what do you mean by saying that my father was in on it too?" Jack asked.

Helios grabbed Jack's shoulders with his hands, slightly squeezing them as he looked at the ground. "Your father, instead of talking with Ashley and doing verbal therapy, they dhighly medicated her. They locked her up. They basically stockholmed her. Are you going to do that too? Are you going to continue to act like that? Are you willing to be the next Bill Savelli?" Helios asked.

"No, no I'm not." Jack sighed.

"Well then, if you, Jackson Estridsen, don't want to become the next Bill Savelli, then maybe you need to stop trying to get Aisha to change and stop trying to change her yourself.
Instead of changing her, maybe you should change yourself first, Jack.
Then, maybe, just maybe, overtime, that can show her that it's okay to change and grow, and within time, she will do the same." Helios sighed as he released his grip from Jack's shoulders. He walked past Jack, opened the door and walked out. Leaving Jack standing frozen in place, lost in his own thoughts.

--------------------------------------------------------------

The glowing blue moon brightly shone through the large paneled window of the office.
"Aisha's getting closer, Bill.
She is going to know what you've done, and all of the people you've harmed are waiting for you." Bill heard someone whisper in his ear as he felt arms wrap around his shoulders and his neck along with apparitions of eyeless children around him.

He quickly stood up from his office chair and banged his fists on his table.

"STOP TORMENTING ME! ASHLEY, I'M SORRY!
IT'S BEEN OVER 10 YEARS!
AND STOP SENDING THESE EYELESS CHILDREN AFTER ME! I KNOW I DESERVE THIS, BUT STOP MANIPULATING OUR DAUGHTER!
STOP BEING A COWARD AND SHOW YOURSELF!" He yelled as he shielded his face and head with his arms.

Within that time a body started forming in front of him. Pale colored feet showed, then forming up to pale legs, a short white dress, arms, long platinum hair, a neck and jaw, and finally the face of an angel with ocean blue eyes.
There stood a form of the woman whom he loved long ago. She walked around the desk towards him, bringing her hands to cup his face.

"So now you admit that she's 'our daughter'.
Aisha sees Alina, Bill.
She's getting closer to the truth, Bill.
And so very very soon, you will join me." Ashley smiled while brushing Bill's face with her thumb.

"How does our daughter see something that isn't real, Ashley?
How does our daughter see something that will never been real?
How does our daughter see something that has NEVER BE REAL!" Bill yelled and the woman before him disappeared as he heaved with rage, destruction in his eyes and a sharp pain in his heart.

"AUGGHH!!!" Bill ragged as he swiped everything off of his desk.

I have no memories of my mother.
When I was little, I'd have dreams about her.
But, unfortunately, I cannot remember much of those dreams anymore.

My father doesn't talk about her, it's as if, even after all this time, the grief is still consuming him.
Lost in his own grief, he locked away every trace of her and refused to speak of her with anyone.

Because I had so few memories of her,
I used to ask him about the woman we had both lost, but the old pain would simply overwhelm him anew and the last thing I wanted to do is hurt him any further, so I stopped asking.

That was until about a year ago, when I was searching the attic for treasure when I found a portrait of the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.

My Mother.

Her snow white skin,
her blonde, almost a white platinum hair,
her smile that seemed to light up the world around her, and my own blue eyes that reflected back at me.

Now her face haunts my dreams.

I knew that if my father saw it, he would hide it away, just like how he hides everything else.

It feels like everything in my life is a secret.
My mother, even my own relatives, this house that I was born in.

But what scares me isn't the voices I hear at night when I'm trying to sleep. The faint whispers, calling out to me, calling for me.
It's not even the feeling of eyes on me at all times, it's not even that my father doesn't believe me.

What scares me is the notes I've started finding.
